I found the site to be an amazing advocacy tool.... I have already recommended the site to many colleagues and friends... I wish to announce the release of Mr. Biram Ould Abeid, leader the anti-slavery movement and his colleagues by presidential pardon on February 15, 2011... Their liberation is the direct outcome of active participation in the international campaign to put pressure on the Mauritanian government to end their arbitrarily imprisonment.

Due to the overwhelming support of animal lovers [who have signed this petition], the objectionable language in CA Bill 1980 never made it to the vote.
