1. Crosswalk currently located at Cherokee and Sequoyah should be utilized 
The City of Shawnee is considering a crosswalk back in the middle of Sequoyah between Cherokee & Independence Streets.
There is currently a crosswalk located at the corner of Cherokee & Sequoyah that is not currently being utilized. A gate could be put in at that end of the playground and the children could walk to the school safely from there.
Probably 99% of the children that would use the crosswalk are walking right past the current one at Cherokee. It is very dangerous for the children to cross in the middle of the street.
It would also congest that area since that is where the drive is for the buses and vans picking up & dropping of the kids and a resident drive.
2. High School Parking for Juniors
As the Town of Agawam expands so does the number of families. The high school parking lot needs to increase in size as to allow for the number of students that need to park.
One can see that each year the number of students increases and we need to increase our parking spaces to accomodate this.
Until then we need to allow any available spaces to be given to juniors who meet a certain criteria.
We, the undersigned registered students of San Diego State University (SDSU), hereby petition the Theatre, Film and Television Department of SDSU, to submit to the students request to have Theatre 525 also known as Stage Combat offered in the next school year 2005-2006.
Stage Combat is a highly popular class for all classmen in the major Theatre Arts. Theatre 525 has been utilized by students in their forever attempt to improve on their skills as actors and professionals in the Theatre industry at SDSU and after graduation.
This personal enrichment is a great addition to ones confidence, health and mind.
