Airlines are in the main reducing the pitch between seats and then asking us to pay for more legroom.
Why should the vertically challenged be able to purchase a seat with more legroom whilst those who have longer legs and need the space have to squeeze into a smaller leg space.
Not everyone can afford the luxury of travelling premium economy, business or first and as a result have to suffer sore knees as the result.

We humans are closer to extinction that we all realize or want to acknowledge, we each have an obligation to preserve our species not destroy it, we owe it to ourselves and the generations to follow.
We may look different, sound different, and have different beliefs from one another but it does not negate the fact that we are all the same species and citizens of this world.
It is imperative that we work quickly and together despite any differences to preserve humanity.
I am asking all leaders and individuals to make a commitment to work towards uniting the people of this world.

The United States draft resolution (A/HRC/19/L.2) on Sri Lanka was tabled at the 19th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on 8 March 2012.
This resolution, is being brought up to address the alleged "war crimes" supposed to have occurred during the humanitarian mission to save innocent civilians from the terror of the inhumane terrorist organization calling itself the "Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)".
1. Calls upon the Government of Sri Lanka to implement the constructive Recommendations made in the report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission and to take all necessary additional steps to fulfil its relevant legal obligations and commitment to initiate credible and independent actions to ensure justice, equity, accountability and reconciliation for all Sri Lankans;
2. Requests the Government of Sri Lanka to present, as expeditiously as possible, a comprehensive action plan detailing the steps that the Government has taken and will take to implement the recommendations made in the Commission’s report, and also to address alleged violations of international law;
3. Encourages the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and relevant special procedures mandate holders to provide, and the Government of Sri Lanka to accept, advice and technical assistance on implementing the above-mentioned steps, and requests the Office of the High Commissioner to present a report on the provision of such assistance to the Human Rights Council at its twenty-second session.
The passing of this resolution will have the effect of;
1) Breaching Article 2(7) of the Charter of the United Nations which states "Nothing contained in the present Charter shall authorize the United Nations to intervene in matters which are essentially within the domestic jurisdiction of any state"
2)Completely jeopardizing the core concepts of International Law and breaching Article 2(1) of the Charter of the United Nations, which ensure the sovereign equality of all its Members, since no such resolution has been brought up against the US (sponsor of the current resolution) for allegations of Human Rights Violations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
3) Violating the sovereignty and integrity of Sri Lanka.
4) Hindering the effort of the Sri Lankan government in its reconciliation efforts to ensure equality among all races and the post war development process.
5) Taxing the resources of the United Nations since the government of Sri Lanka has already made substantial progress in implementing the recommendations of the LLRC report which makes it unnecessary for a process as recommended.
United States of Tara is an American television comedy-drama created by Diablo Cody, which began airing on Showtime in 2009.
The series follows the life of Tara (Toni Collette), a suburban housewife and mother coping with dissociative identity disorder.
One of the most serious threats to the U.S. criminal justice system is the allegation that racism influences the imposition of death sentences.
I propose an overhaul of the sentencing process, using the best technology available.
I am allergic to dogs, and have seen many in public parks where there are lots of signs telling dog owners kindly to have their dogs on leashes. However, I have seen many dogs NOT on leashes and this makes me very upset to see that the owners are not paying attention to the signs.
I have been on tons of chases where an eager dog (not on a leash) runs after me. Alot of owners when I tell them I am allergic to dogs they say their dogs are hypoallergenic, and they can be to some people, but not to me. I am allergic to all kinds of dogs, "hypoallergenic" or not. These dogs don't know better than to chase me, but their owners do.
The owners need to be more considerate to people who are allergic to dogs like me and keep their dogs on leashes.
We shouldn't have zoning. They always call the United States the "Land Of Opportunity" but if they won't let us build what we want where we want, that isn't much opportunity is it? Outlawing zoning in the USA would satisfy a lot of people, including me. We should be able to build what we want where we want because:
a) more jobs, less unemployment
c) more space in a city

I have worked in the general field of mental health for 35 years. As a therapeutic practitioner and as a manager (Psychosocial Therapies). During that time, I have successfully worked with people with serious mental ill health, learning disability, autism, brain damage and dementia.
I have been concerned about the prescriptive treatment of people with these kinds of problems and the tendency to make judgements against their wishes, without adequate sound evidence to support those decisions. Too many assumptions are made that impact upon personal freedom, dignity, informed choice and self-expression.
I have also witnessed many misdiagnoses and very unsound decisions, within Health & Social Care services and in the Law Courts and Child & Family Courts. The health, wellbeing and lives of my clients / families have been seriously affected these poor decisions. Many other cases have been reported to me.
Although I have met increasing numbers of skilful, person centred psychiatrists, therapists and social workers, there is still a tendency for the institutions to rely on outdate, erroneous assumptions about the cause, nature and resolution of these problems. Many practitioner are being constrained by ‘local’ policies & decisions.
My concern is that there are many contraventions of people’s Human Rights every day, on the most spurious interpretation of the use of special powers. It has become evident that the decisions are biased towards social control, rather the therapy. Local Institutions are very risk averse, protecting their position rather than client’s interests.
Most cases I have worked with, where there is psychosis, agitated behaviour and ‘behaviour problems’, there has been clear evidence of childhood & adolescent trauma and abuse. This may be at home, in social care and education institutions. Adults are also distressed in this way by ‘domestic / relationship abuses’.
This can be anything from physical, psychological, emotional and sexual abuse, through ‘culture shock’, to bullying in home, school or work. Although I have been able to demonstrate this in individual cases, aided recovery and have successfully challenged most misdiagnoses, it has been difficult to get general attitudes changed.
I am campaigning for a thorough World Health Organisation review of Psychiatric thinking, theoretical foundations and health and social care practices. The evidence of organic causes are very rare and yet psychiatry largely works of the assumption of ‘mental incompetence’, due to genetic, or organic failings.
The social and clinical treatment have as many negative effects as they have benefits as they do benefits, especially when used indefinitely and on the basis of misdiagnosis and false assumptions.
The influence of psychiatry and forensic psychology, within the Law Courts is very dubious. The ‘expert witnesses’ are often the worst examples of clinical psychiatric practice and the Law is far too reliant upon their unsound assumptions and judgments. There is a very unethical aspect to psychiatric ‘expert witnesses’;
“Who is the patient and what are their rights here?”
Stretford-End.com are campaigning to Manchester United FC to refrain from using the green and gold colours on their kits until the Glazers have relinquished or otherwise cease controlling the club.
The campaign is also to signify the supporters desire to restore green and gold to the clubs official away colours after the Glazers' time at the club has ended.
Thanks to ManUtd24.wordpress.com for supporting the campaign.
Chemical pesticides have been used on banana crops for over half a century. The wide spread use of these pesticides in South American countries has produced numerous accounts of physical illness on the people who work on banana plantations as well as the people of the surrounding villages and towns.
The corporations who use these pesticides on a regular basis are ignoring many of these illness issues. The illnesses that are inflicted on the workers and their families cause undue financial and physical harm, and do not allow them to keep their jobs, which are essential to providing for their families.
The Football Match Between Manchester United And Chelsea is a big big match all the time but this season with just points in between the top 2, it counts more than ever that a referee or a linesman is accurate and fair.
Chelsea player Drogba scored a goal from which was clearly a off-side position and the linesman Simon Beck was clearly able to see this, and he has been penalised by being demoted to Championship duty.
But Why should a team also be penalised?
Manchester United in this case.
The Goal was offside and it should not count.
As Detention Enforcement Officers, our performance, experience, work knowledge professionalism and loyalty are beyond the scope of what we were hired to do. The numerous duties we carry are beyond our pay grade.
Some of these duties include the assistance we offer to many agencies on the federal, state and local levels as well as the court family and its many agencies. We also assist our very own district administrative staff and deputies. Throughout the years we have taken charge of our section, Custody and Transportation.

Manneau and Evena Jean-Charles have began the adoption process of Stevinson, Millard and Sabine Jean-CHarles in 2007 from there homeland of Haiti.
The adoption process has been completed from the Haitain side, since the Haitian earthquake, and now under the policy involving Humanitarian Parole for Haitian Orphans signed by Secretary Janet Napolitano on January 18th 2010, we have requested our children to come to the United States, and made request via Homeland Security and the USCIS and Haitian Adoptions. All paperwork is in order.
To date the children, one of which is injured with two broken legs, and all three homeless, living in the streets of Haiti, have yet to be delivered into our care and custody.

Background of Greece-Macedonian dispute on the name issue
The Macedonia naming dispute refers to the disagreement over the use of the name Macedonia between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia. Greece opposes on 1991's constitutional name, after Macedonia declare a full independence from SFRY, though the name Macedonia was in official use as a constitutional name of the state since 02 August 1944. Background of existence of Modern Macedonian state and the name
Macedonia was a single geographic entity until the Balkan Wars of 1912-13. As a result of the Treaty of Bucharest, Macedonia was partitioned among Serbia, Greece, and Bulgaria. These regions are known as the Republic of Macedonia (organised state since 1944 and independent since 1991), Aegean Macedonia (occupied by Greece since 1913), Pirin of macedonia (occupied by Bulgaria since 1913). Declaration (Manifesto) of ASNOM - 02 August 1944
ASNOM became and remained the biggest event of Macedonian struggle for national freedom and sovereignty. The most important decision at the First Session of ASNOM was the decision to proclaim ASNOM the supreme legislative and executive body representing the Macedonian people, and the pinnacle of state authority in Macedonia. It incorporated initial guidelines on constituting the Macedonian state, creating the "constitutional, legal document, upon the basis of which the Macedonian federal state is to be established and built." The decision also provided for constituting the people's administration,” the government of the Macedonian state, the functions of which were, for the time being, to be performed by the Presidium of ASNOM". Furthermore, in structuring executive authority, this document provided for the formation of "a required number of departments for the various branches of state administration" which were to perform the function of ministries until a government was established. This initial constitution for Macedonia was further supplemented by ASNOM with a definition of essential and guaranteed civil rights. The Declaration on Citizens' Rights stated that all citizens of Macedonia "are equal before the law, irrespective of their nationality, sex, race and religion." The Declaration also guaranteed the rights of ethnic minorities "to a free national life." The minorities are further mentioned in the ASNOM Manifesto, wherein the freedom and equality of all nationalities in Macedonia is proclaimed." (source: Mi-Am publishing)

The first constitution of People Republic of Macedonia 31/12/1946
The first constitutional period of Macedonia in a formal sense began with the introduction of the Constitution of Popular Republic of Macedonia on the 31st December 1946. The first constitution of Macedonia was passed and proclaimed by the Constitutional Assembly of the Popular Republic of Macedonia, which, after having passed the Constitution, continued its work as a regular assembly. Apart from its constitutional and legal significance as the highest act of the country, this constitution also had a particular political importance, because it was a document through which the Macedonian state was constitutionally established, and therefore, generally recognized. The constitution of 1946 first set out the character of the state and the way in which it was to be administered. The People's Republic of Macedonia was established as a people's state in a republican form, in which the Macedonian people, expressing their free will, joined together with the other nations of Yugoslavia and their people's republics on the principle of equality to form a common federal state - the FPRY. This definition of the republic exclusively expressed its state legal element, which was necessary and justified during that period, in order to express its constituting as a state. In this definition, there are also elements of the principle of self-determination of the people, expressed in a voluntarily and freely expressed will to join together with the other nations of Yugoslavia. Charter of the United Nations
The Charter of the United Nations was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the conclusion of the United Nations Conference on International Organization, and came into force on 24 October 1945. In the prosecution of Kevin G. Wiggins, on conspiracy and wire fraud charges, it is alleged that United States Attorneys for the Northern District of Georgia conspired with Mr. Wiggins's co-defendant and his co-defendant's attorney to falsify evidence. Such false evidence was presented to the court, along with documents prosecutors submitted to the court containing materially false evidence, and a variety of false statements made by one of the persecutors, which resulted in the sentencing of Mr. Wiggins.
In addition, the prosecutors violated Mr. Wiggins's and his sister's constitutional rights to due process, by deceiving the court into believing that other key participants in the fraud, a loan officer and underwriter, were innocent of the same crimes, and they also misled the court into believing the two closing attorneys in the conspiracy would be charged soon after Mr. Wiggins's sentencing, and to recommend a reduced sentence for his cooperation against the attorneys. It's been over a year and no charges have been filed.
It is also alleged that prosecutors, along with the F.B.I. case agent, prepared a report of Mr. Wiggins's testimony he provided in a debriefing with the government, in which he provided evidence to refute the false claims the appraiser in the case made about Mr. Wiggins's sister. The report was never presented to Mr. Wiggins or his defense attorney, nor the court. Moreover, the evidence disproving the false claims by the appraiser, were deleted from the report, and thereafter the report was provided to Mr. Wiggins's sister and her attorney, which led her to plead guilty under false pretenses, because prosecutors never mentioned the positive testimony her brother provided.
Mr. Wiggins has had a website set up to help bring the outrageous corruption of justice in his and his sister's case to the public's attention, to help prevent it from happening to other citizens of our country.
United States citizens have the Constitutional right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as long as those pursuits don't infringe on the rights of others. The pursuit of happiness through marriage is a long accepted tradition, one which federal law, and many state’s laws, forbid if the prospective pair is of the same sex. Homosexuality does not infringe upon anyone's rights, except where couples are being prosecuted for having a different way of life.
Disallowing homosexual coupling could be looked upon as an infringement of the citizens’ rights, because it is a nonviolent union, formed to pursue happiness, not to violate anyone’s rights. Christianity is a major religion in the United States, but we also have the freedom to choose to follow any religion we wish.
While Christianity is anti-homosexual, not every religion is, and not everyone in the United States is Christian. Therefore, not everyone thinks homosexuality is an unforgivable tendency, and many support it. Thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands, have expressed their desire to support homosexuals. The opposition is almost entirely religously based, and unconstitutional.
Legalization ( End Prohibition ) and Reform ( Current Laws ), of the current laws and policies which govern the use of Marijuana in the United States, it is time to seriously look into abolishing Prohibition of Marijuana, and change the laws accordingly to this issue.
Each and every year medical science has stated that the use of marijuana is safer than alcohol, and should not be listed as a narcotic, is not as addictive as once was thought, and has far more uses in the medical arena in the treatment for patients either terminal,or chronic, and safer as a alcohol alternative. With current standing laws more than 800000, people this year have been arrested, and many either white collar or blue collar workers, taxpayers and voters such as yourselves their lives destroyed, jobs lost.
Laws like these are not a deterrent, with more than 100 million plus users of marijuana and growing each year there has to be Open mindedness, and change. More money 10 billion yearly, and more over a trillion since President Nixion was in office for the war on drugs, this money which could've been better spent on programs for schools, parks, the poor, etc. the time is now to tell our representatives that it is enough, it is a time for change.
The connection between meat consumption or animal agriculture & environmental pollution is scientifically proven time and time again. What we eat impacts our health and the health of the environment.
According to a 2006 report by the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), entitled Livestock's Long Shadow: it stated that livestock production is responsible for 18 percent of all greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions which is more than all the cars, trains and planes combined.
Due to the impact that meat has on the environment, we need to reduce our consumption of this carbon intensive product as an effective solution to the climate change crisis. This petition calls for Thai Government to take action now that will show Thailand’s commitment to tackling Climate Change.
We urge the government to promote every Monday as a day when the citizens of Thailand will abstain from meat products in an effort to protect the environment and halt global warming.
We call on everyone’s support in expressing to Thai Government the need for Thailand to adopt and promote a meat free Monday.
So please sign this petition and forward it to your friends and family.

The current United States legal drinking age is 21. Many United States citizens disagree with this age. Many believe that the age to legally be able to purchase, consume or possess alcohol should be 18.
A United States Citizen is allowed to vote when they are 18 years of age. 18 year old males are forced to join the Selective Service, for possible drafting. This means that 18-year old males can go to war. At age 18, a citizen is also inclined to jury duty. So, an 18-year old is given the responsibilities of voting, being selected for jury duty, and possibly being drafted for war.
If an 18-year old citizen is to be given these responsibilities, why is the legal drinking age 21? Does the U.S. Government not trust those of us under 21? They trust us with their votes, yet they cannot treat us like full adults for another 3 years!
Following the electoral fraud of 12 June 2009 in Iran and the repressive measures imposed by the outgoing government of Mahmoud AHMADINEJAD, a worldwide day of protest, IRAN GLOBAL DAY, was organized on the 25 July 2009 in solidarity with the Iranian people in the name of freedom and democracy in Iran and against dictatorship.
The participation of thousands of people around the world was not only a triumph for the Iranian people who thus received the backing of the international community in its struggle against dictatorship, but also a victory for men and women of all origins around the world who, thanks to the Internet and new information technologies, managed to mobilize in the defense of the rights of a repressed people in its struggle against a totalitarian regime that had become a danger to the whole of humanity.
In a global world in which the fate of all individuals, peoples and nations is increasingly interconnected, the defence of human rights of a people living under conditions of tyranny is an issue that concerns us all. United we can act more effectively in the struggle against dictatorship and dictators for peace in the world.

We are campaigning in support of a sister by the name of Assata Shakur. Assata Shakur was a member of the Black Panther Party who currently has political asylum in Cuba because of her political activity while she was in the United States. Assata Shakur stands as a symbol of freedom for many people in the US and we'd like to ensure that she remains unharmed. We are appealing to the Cuban Government because we know that they have the power to keep Assata safe.
This year marking the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, we'd like to celebrate Cuba's historic achievement while also gaining assurance that Assata will remain unscathed. Please read over our letter and join us in solidarity!
