1. Galileo High School: Tuesday Schedule
On Tuesdays, we, the students of Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, get dismissed at 1:00PM. Other schools like Lincoln, on their early dimissal day, which is Thursday, they get disimissed at 12:30PM while starting school at 8:00AM, the same time as us.
We don't need our lunch break at 10:51. That's just too early. Why don't they change the schedule to fit everyone's needs by taking out the lunch period and moving 5th and 6th period up? Lunch is unnecessary in such a short school day. If a lunch period is a must, then at least make it after 6th period. Then we can get dismissed from class at 12:15PM.
Those of you supporting the replacement of the lunch period please sign!
This petition serves as a mandate to have early voting in the state of Ohio. Each and every citizen of Ohio should have the right and flexibility to cast their vote in a period of two weeks before the first Tuesday in November so that voting lines are alleviated. This petition is non-partisan so that every Ohio citizen regardless of their declared political party or persuasion has the possibility of voting, and the flexibility to do so.
"We the citizens of Ohio in the United States of America demand that early voting is available in every precinct in the state of Ohio. We would like this to start in the election year of 2006."
ESPN, in a fit of PC, fired Tuesday Morning Quarterback (TMQ) columist Gregg Easterbrook from the "Page 2" section of their espn.com website. ESPN made this move in response to a comment Easterbrook made in his web blog on the New Republic web site. ESPN is obviously STILL trying to "make up" for hiring Rush Limbaugh and is going completely overboard in doing so.
4. Crimes Against Children are Crimes Against Humanity
On Tuesday 11 September 2001 a solemn appeal to universally declare crimes against children as crimes against humanity was adressed from Paris, France to the United Nations General Assembly and World Leaders in New York as a special session on children was scheduled to take place the following week. The first world leaders or organizations to answer the call were Mr Jacques Chirac, President of the French Republic, the UNESCO and the President of the European Parliament. Since then an international campaign in French and English has been following up on the Internet as new initiatives were launched to protect and promote Child Rights and fight crimes against children in the whole world. On 10th December 2002, Celebration Day for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the international campaign "Crimes Against Children are Crimes Against Humanity" shall merge with SOS-JUSTICE & CHILD RIGHTS initiative, JUSTICE FOR THE FUGITIVE MOTHERS IN EUROPE campaign, and GIFT A CHILD YOUR HEART project in order to give birth to the Rajani Foundation For Child Rights. Further on, the petition "Crimes Against Children Are Crimes Against Humanity" shall be held by the Rajani Foundation For Child Rights, a private initiative based in Paris, France.
