1. Don't Cut Campaign: Awareness rather than self-harm
The Don't Cut Campaign is aimed at young people, but open to everyone. We aim to make the world aware that self-harm is a major issue, and should be fought against.
There are other ways of expressing issues that may be causing people trouble, rather than self-harm.
For any questions please ask us at milliosmiles@outlook.com
This Promoter has come out of Austin texas into Fort worth Texas and is currently renting out the venue Avalon. He only host TEEN nights at clubs with promoters and more that are above age.
Kids are taking drugs left and right. Sex in the bathrooms and on the dance floor and the venue does nothing about it.
3. REINSTATE THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR'S ABORIGINAL BOOK DRIVE
Please help us to reinstate the Ontairo Lieutenant Governor's Aboriginal 'Summer Reading' Book Drive! We are two sisters, 14 years old and 13 years old in Oakville Ontario, and we want to see the children and teens of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities receive these much needed books.
Their libraries are bare. They are 4 to 5 years behind in literacy skills and suicide rates are high in these remote communities. Most of these children and teens live below poverty line and they cannot afford to attend post secondary school. Some of these communities are 'fly-in' only and they are forgotten... but not now!
Help us to give them hope... please sign to reinstate the Ontario Lieutenant Governor's Aboriginal Book Drive!
The Lauren Edgerton Foundation, Inc. was founded to honor the memory of Lauren Elizabeth Edgerton, and will represent the essence of Lauren in an honorable and pure manner.
Lauren wanted to find a way for pre-teens and teens to have a place where they could go to meet with friends, and just "chill" as she would say. A safe place, a place their could call their own, Lauren's Place.
With the help of volunteers, fundraisers, donations and grants, Lauren’s Place will provide charitable assistance to the community by providing a center for pre-teens and teens to go when they need a break. If their home environment becomes too challenging and they need a “cooling off” spot, Lauren’s Place will be their “go to” place.
Lauren’s Place will offer services such as the Study, which will provide a quiet area for members to do homework or projects. It will be equipped with computers, printers, a copier, and stationery supplies, the Library will provide a book exchange program, the Closet will provide a clothes exchange program, the Gallery will display members' original art, plus much more.
5. Support Parental Rights for parents with teens
Parental rights for parent with teens. Legal age to be changed from 16 to 18. Parents to have help from government officials courts and all legal aspects. People who harbor these children with out parental consent should be fined or unlawfully charged.
It because of the legalities that the advocates seem to think should be in place consequently there is no disciplinary action for a parent which enables the child/teen to do whatever they want therefor ending up uneducated and on the street.
There need to be put in place a legal avenue that a parent can use when or if a child desires to leave home with or without parental consent.
There has to be something put in place for a parent to help guild these children/teens.
My Niece left home without parent consent and decided she was not coming back and said she was 16 and didn't have to. She is staying with someone the family has no knowledge of and will not tell her parent where she is. She left their house with a 20 year old friend who has influenced her decision and also contributed to this miner. The 20 year old also will not let the my family know where my niece is. My My niece does not go to school and wants to party all the time and has never had a job. This age limit needs to change.

10. Review Club Hours for the youth of the LeoGoodwin Foundation Teen Center
Changing club hours would be beneficial for the youth of the LeoGoodwin Foundation Teen Center. at this moment the club is open at 3pm on schools days , but on Non-school days its open from 9am to 5pm. The teens that attend this center start arriving btween 11am to Noon. As we all know most teenagers don't wakeup early in the morning.
This brings the benefit of having the club Hours changed to either 11am to 8:30pm or 11:30 to 9pm, the teens would be able to spend more quality time at the club and interact with more activities during the summer and on non-school days.
11. Stop Our Teens Dying, Raise Driving Age to 18
Too many of our teens dying behind the wheel, we as parents want some action to be taken... e.g.. raising the learners driving age to 18, parent s to be criminally charged for allowing or purchasing high powered vehicles to be driven by teens.. installation of engine/speed immobilizers for speeding teens... You are not classified as an adult till the age of 18, so why are kids allowed to kill themselves and others???
12. Facility for teens to stay off the alcohol and keep them occupied
We the undersigned, as citizens of Goulburn community, i would like to bring underage drinking, vandalism and such; to your attention due to teens vandalising and drinking on weekends due to having nothing better to do. As i am one of these teens we all wish we had something fun and entertaining to do that we can afford, if we just had this we believe that none of the concerns would be addressed and everything would be great and we would have something to do instead of doing silly things to keep us occupied.
13. Restore Funding to New Beginings
The state has made drastic budget cuts to New Beginnings. For many years this non-profit organization has counseled, serviced, and treated many young children state wide free of charge.
Many students who have been counseled and through treatment programs have made positive changes, which not only affect the individual but also benefit families, schools and communities.
Without state funding the children of our communities will not be fortunate enough to have the education and guidance that will keep them off drugs and making better choices (prevent trickle down effect for a poverty ridden society).

16. End Domestic Sex Trafficking
Every day thousands of children in the United States are forced, manipulated, and lured into some form of commercial sexual exploitation. Violence and threats keep the victims silenced and fearful of escaping or trusting Law Enforcement.
Since the passing of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (T.V.P.A) in 2003, the United States government has spent more than 500 million dollars to spread awareness and assist in the rehabilitation of foreign nationals who have entered the country as victims of human trafficking—but funding and resources are inadequate for American children of the same crime.
17. Down with Disney owning Club Penguin
Ever since Disney took over Club Penguin, I have been hearing complaints about how they wish Disney didn't come and change everything.

The city of Henderson has recently added a new chapter banning teenage dancehalls, nightclubs and other matters relating thereto where as the addition of such places has shown a decrease in teen violence, drug use, and other matters surrounding young people by giving them a safe environment to socialize and dance.
23. Say NO to Gang style Attacks by Teens!
Recently a video was aired nationally showing 6 girls taking turns beating a helpless victim unconscious, waking her up and beating her again while 2 boys stood lookout. The incident happened on or about March 30th. This was a cold, calculated crime that was premeditated and thought out.
No parents were present at the time of the attack which was 8:30PM on a Sunday night. The attackers never showed any remorse for these crimes. They were observed laughing and joking that they would miss cheerleading and not be able to go to the beach the following weekend.
The incident was videotaped with the intent to broadcast it online. The mother of the girl in whose home the assault took place blamed the victim and not her daughter. Also, neither mother or daughter, nor any of the other attackers show remorse at this time, one even proclaiming on their myspace page that "I'd do it again"!
There has Always Been A Big Brother For Adults.
But Why Not One For Kids?
It Would Be More Interesting And More Fun =]
Bring back the Oc. It was not only a teen drama but was like real life for teens.
Filmed in the cottage community of Winnipeg Beach, the 13-part, one-hour series centres on a group of young people summering in the fictional lakeside resort town of Falcon Beach. It's about summer. It's about freedom. It's about young adults trying to define themselves for their lives ahead.
But it's also about two worlds colliding -- that of the summer cottagers and that of the townies who live and work in Falcon Beach year-round. The show, which returns to Global in fall 2005 after a successful two-hour pilot episode, is a co-production of Toronto-based Insight Productions and Manitoba-based Original Pictures.
Two slightly different versions have been produced: one for Canada and one for the United States, where the series airs on ABC Family and SOAPNet. Changes for the U.S. version include that the local town is in New England and that the Bradshaws are from Boston.
27. Support Mansion House Paintball
Mansion House Paintball field is owned by a local farmer whose farm has been in operation since 1939. This farmer has opened a portion of his property to paintball after seeing that there had been a vast amount of "painting" by the local teens. Teens were shooting at peoples homes and other property.
Mansion House Paintball is a small Paintball field located in Delaware. This field is currently under going up dating in order to make it more appealing to players around the United States.
Recently, someone has submitted a complaint that this field should be closed because paintball is a dangerous sport.
As many Delawareans know there is very little for our children/teens to do in the form of recreation. Mansion House Paintball helps keep children out of trouble and gives them something to do.
Since opening the field the vandalism by paint has dropped drastically and is almost non-existent.
28. Enforce New Jersey Law for troubled teens
I am currently struggling with my 15 year old daughter. It s been a long 2 year struggle that always ends up no where. No matter what I do for my daughter, it always turns out to be a dead end.
We are currently residing in NJ and becuase of the law regarding uncontrolable teens, it is very difficult for me to help her and keep her off the streets where she wanders all night and day when she constantly runs away. I know she is not in good hands out there and I also know she is using drugs and she allows herself to participate in unlawfull activities.
I need my daughter to be safe, but the law here in NJ is not letting me get this done. She is only 15, why allow her to do this to herself and her family. I am not able to get her in any programs becuase the programs here in NJ are not mandatory, if the kid wants to leave, they can leave....why?? that is not right. I know of other states where is not the same as it is here.
Inpatient programs are mandatory in NY and not voluntary like here in NJ. We need to enforce this. It is not fair to parents and especially it is not fair to our children.
Please help me get this done....

30. The Effect of Smoking On Teens
July 17, 2006
Teen smoking rates - which plummeted dramatically over the past eight years - now appear to be leveling off, a trend that concerns many public health experts.
They're worried not just about the diminishing numbers of teens who are choosing to quit, but also about what may be in store for the 1 million plus new smokers who are succumbing to the habit each year.
Cigarette smoking during childhood and adolescence produces significant health problems among young people, including cough and phlegm production, an increase in the number and severity of respiratory illnesses, decreased physical fitness, an unfavorable lipid profile and potential retardation in the rate of lung growth and the level of maximum lung function.
An estimated 440,000 Americans die each year from diseases caused by smoking.
Each day, nearly 6,000 children under 18 years of age start smoking; of these, nearly 2,000 will become regular smokers. That is almost 800,000 annually.
It is estimated that at least 4.5 million U.S. adolescents are cigarette smokers.
Approximately 90 percent of smokers begin smoking before the age of 21.
If current tobacco use patterns persist, an estimated 6.4 million children will die prematurely from a smoking-related disease.
According to a 2001 national survey of high school students, the overall prevalence of current cigarette use was 28 percent.
Nearly graders and 5.5 percent of 8th graders smoke cigarettes daily.
Adolescents who smoke regularly can have just as hard a time quitting as long-time smokers.
Of adolescents who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime, most of them report that they would like to quit, but are not able to do so.
Cigarette advertisements tend to emphasize youthful vigor, sexual attraction and independence themes, which appeal to teenagers and young adults struggling with these issues.
Tobacco use in adolescence is associated with a range of health-compromising behaviors, including being involved in fights, carrying weapons, engaging in high-risk sexual behavior and using alcohol and other drugs.
