The US Postal Service believes it will save money and make America's mail service more efficient if they implement a plan they devised to close and consolidate some of their facilities.

This includes their mail processing centers and also small branches and stations. The result will be reduced customer service and delays in your mail. This is being done nationwide and the effects could be devastating.

Recently, a rumor circulated that the Gilcrease Post Office was slated for possible closing. If so, it will be combined with the Downtown Tulsa Post Office and all the customers who use the Gilcrease office now would have to go all the way downtown to pick up parcels, certified letters and registered mail. Many of the residents of this community are senior citizens, black, hispanic, homeless and poor. They don't have the means to go anywhere else to get mail service, and the Postal Service is not even going to give the community any opportunity for input while they make the decision.

Their plan for this community is to leave the PO Box section at the current location and move everything else downtown. Eventually, they also plan to remove all stamp machines and as stated above, if any customer has mail to pick up, they will have to go downtown to do so.

The Postal Service was never intended to be a profitable business. It's mission is to bind the nation together through written correspondence....and provide "universal" mail service for everybody.

Closing and consolidating completely contradicts this mission and should be stopped.

Casey Jenson is my 11 year old cousin. From what I have been told, be it from lawyers or family members, my cousin has been restricted from all rights to see his family.

He has a very rare blood disorder, and is on his death bed. He was beaten, abused, made-fun of, and hated by his own family members, all except for me and my father. I want to see Casey again, I miss him dearly. I would appreciate it if you would help me see him again.

CPS has him in their custody, and he has been for a while. But even in their care, he was neglected. I'm not asking for custody, just a visit, even if it is a supervised one. I just want to see him again. Please help.

There are people in our country (Men and Woman), who unfortunately, have had trouble in their marriage and had to file for divorce. Many times there are children stuck in the middle of this and these children still need financial support.

Thank God that this country has laws that insure that this is done, But in my opinion the way that this is done is VERY unfair. I believe our goverenment should average out what it takes to support each child per family and use that amount as the childs support.

As it is right now that amount goes by what that spouse makes on his or her paycheck. I read of a lawyer that was ordered to pay his one healthy child twenty four thousand dollars a month...ridiculous don't you think? Do you really believe that the child is needing that much a month...or is it supporting a few "others" as well?

I believe this law in some cases brings greed and could possibly be an influence in the final decision to go through with a divorce.

During the passage of the Animal Welfare Bill, earlier this year some MP's voted in support of an amendment which would have improved greyhound welfare by raising the priority for a welfare code; thereby determining a regulatory framework for all greyhound racing tracks. However, the Government voted against this on two occasions.

Instead, the Government has only loosely committed itself to welfare codes which probably won't be ready until 2010. I believe that the Government, who takes £70million in tax from this sector, can no longer wring its hands and try to blame someone else.

Of course, the industry itself also has a role to play, and unlike some animal welfare cases, there are funds available which could be put towards improving the welfare of greyhounds.

The government needs to reverse it's position on this and support the amendments.

I am concerned about the decision that was made to terminate my employment. The comment between me and Airman Girau was inappropriate and regretful. I received 3 days suspension and 90 days probation which I consider to be justified, for I was joking with Airman Girau and we had agreed at that moment that it was only a joke, and we shook hands.

I have expressed my deepest apologies to US Protect and 37th SFS. I will never be out of line and will conduct myself in professional manner as I have been in the past 2 years with team Lackland, I love my job and everything it stands for which is why I have an excellent record.

I hope you will be able to understand and allow me continue my employment. This is my first offense in two years and I value my job. Also, I want to again offer my deepest apologies and I hope you will give me a second chance.

Fox 8 Morning News (Cleveland) aired a story on July 21, 2006 in which a local nursing mother (who wishes to remain anonymous) was refused permission to nurse her baby before paying for her purchases at the Aeropostale store in Great Northern Mall (which is owned by Westfield).

The mall representative who spoke to the reporter indicated that this kind of situation is why they put in the Family Room.

Westfield Corp. owns four area malls in addition to the malls they own in twelve other states and three other countries (the UK, Australia and New Zealand).

Some of those areas have much stronger protections for families who breastfeed in public than Ohio does, especially New York State (where Westfield owns two malls) - there the right to breastfeed is written into the Civil Rights section of the state laws, with specific penalties if violated.

The Eagles treatment of Michael Gardiner is harsh, uncaring and unforgiving.

It is also downright hypocritical!

Regardless of having the best midfield in the competition, it is a simple fact that no football club has ever gone all the way without key position forwards producing the goals.

The Eagles won two premierships with Suma up front, and the only other time they looked dangerous was when Scott Cummins won the Coleman.

Despite this, the Eagles had failed to recruit the forwards needed.

They went into the Grand Final with no recognised forwards! Gardiner was thrust into the role, under the most pressure imaginable, and when he failed to produce was made the scapegoat for their loss.

Is it any wonder that he suffers from Depression.

Both Ben Cousins and Michael Gardiner failed to fully answer questions regarding their alleged involvement with alleged criminals.

Several Eagles have committed off-field "indiscretions," including Ben Cousins and Ashley Sampi. Why is Michael Gardiner the only one to have his career ended.

When confronted with a booze bus, Ben Cousins ran away. At least Gardiner stayed around for the cops, and has promised to make restitution.

Michael is apparently suffering from depression, an insidious illness not fully understood.

The Eagles response: "we're going to support Michael…by destroying his career.."

I am asking all WA football fans to sign this petition.

I am also urging all Eagles Member to "GO GREEN" for Michael at the round 17 game with Adelaide. Please take, wear and wave everything GREEN that you have. You can still scream for the team, but the GREEN will also show your support for Michael.

Doctors and research scientists are increasingly speaking out against animal testing. All animals are different, so they feel the results from animals can't be applied to humans, and it is dangerous for human patients if we try to do so.

In 1997 Labour came to power in the UK. One of their pre-election pledges was to hold an historic investigation into the medical relevance and safety for human patients of using animal experiments.

The medical relevance of animal testing has come under more doubt since then, but they have still refused to honour the pledge.

Among the developments in that time were:

§ 83% of doctors, in an independent poll, supported the idea of an independent evaluation.

§ A 2004 paper in the British Medical Journal concluded that "the contribution of animal studies to clinical medicine requires urgent formal evaluation."

§ Scientifically evaluated cell culture tests have been discovered to be 80-85% accurate: easily more accurate than animal testing.

§ Adverse drug reactions have been estimated to be our fourth leading cause of death: killing over 10,000 people a year in the UK and costing the NHS £466 million, according to medical journal studies. All drugs contributing to this have passed tests on animals.

An Early Day Motion raised by a concerned MP requesting such an inquiry attracted the support of hundreds of MPs across the parties and was among the 1% most popular EDMs. The MP consulted with doctor's group Europeans For Medical Progress (see www.curedisease.net) who actively supported the move.

This petition is to pressurise Government of India, International community to form a group for a massive anti-terrorism operation.

On 11th july 2006 terrorism struck and again on Mumbai (India).Seven Local trains were blown up not in one but at seven different places of mumbai within a span of 15 minutes, leaving more than 190 killed and 700 wounded.

These blasts were followed by blast in Srinagar(Jammu & kashmir),a regular feature in srinagar.While the Assam blast(JUNE 08) and varanasi blast(march 7)are still afresh in the minds of people.

Terrorist attacks have become regular feature in most of the countries including america, Britain,India Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka, afghanistan. In month of May, maharashtra police arrested 3 terrorists belonging to LeT (Lashkar-e-tayyaba) and SIMI with 33 kg of RDX,but one car and two of its accomplice managed to escape.

So it was clear that the person who escaped must have been carrying RDX. This should have immediately raised the alarm to protect the nearest important city which is mumbai, but the government did not take careful notice of it and the result is out now.

Two weeks back NSCS(National security council secretarait) official S S Paul was arrested for his involvement in espionage. The above incidences suggest a strong failure of India's Intelligence bureau.

Morever, government is unable to arrest terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim(mastermind of mumbai blast 1993) who is hiding in Pakistan and Abusalem, another prime accused of mumbai blast-1993 who is under custody is not yet proved guilty. And above all banned terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda, LeT, Jaish-e-mohammad, ULFA are creating
attacks on a regular basis.

A recent rise of terrorism in bangladesh is going strong day by day. This shows that either the government is going soft on terrorist based
policies, or is inefficient or are insufficient in their resources to nab them.

Now time has come for India to give its reply to terrorism. India should give an example of its crusader-terrorism image example by arresting Dawood Ibrahim, trying abu salem, Babloo srivastava.

Other nations and oranisations like united nations and other countries should support india and work together to launch massive operation against terrorism.

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, ARE IN SUPPORT OF A CALL FOR PLEBISCITE
ON SEPARATION OF THE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA FROM BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

We, the people of Republika Srpska, do have Christian way of life as the rest of the Europe and with such values we desire to join integration into European community.

Serbian people desire to bring into European community from our own perspective, respect for all with ingredients which will benefit man kind. We do not want to be any part of any integration which would create a melting pot whereby we would as a nation simply disappear. Present status fully warrants our concerns. To prevent this occurrence, it is necessary first to integrate our own, Serbian people, and than join the community.

People of Republika Srpska desire to egress from present union, which is forcefully created, against everyone's will.

Here are some reasons for definite desire to leave union of BH.
Totally opposite interpretation of resent war - friction.

With no respect for law, and with no legal ground Federation side has entered into lawsuit with neighbor Serbia, whereby they are in fact suing ourselves. All is done at their own initiative without any regard for our objections. It is simply job creation for themselves.

State symbols do not represent our way of life, our culture, our history, they simply, mean absolutely nothing to people of Republika Srpska. They are forced upon everyone living in Republika Srpska.

Centralizing government means all laws all taxes, all economic power will simply be in the hands of majority, which will do at will. Certainly not for benefit of Republika Srpska, since present and past had shown this track record.

Central power, will at will, as a majority, support Al Kaida basses as it has done in the past as well as present. Terrorism is not our way of life and newer has been. Terrorism will, as we all know destabilize region.

Centralizing power, from constitutive people will make us apsolute minority. On the same token in Kosovo from the minority, they are given nationality.

So far, union of BH has shown that no democratic economy can prosper. Present election as is and as it is controlled form outside, has show that no true representative of the people for the people is ever elected. This situation is placing people into position of absolute distrust with its so called leaders.

From above points, which are in brief, we believe that you can see clearly that peace in this region will not last for long, peace which you and us desire and respect so much. Therefore, we believe that you will respect and recommend fulfillment of basic human rights of Serbian people, and its desire for self determination, which is tide to its freedom and liberty.

We are informing you further of the fact that our organization "Serbian Peoples Movement - Choice is Ours" which is not associated with any government, have collected all ready over 40,000 (forty thousand) signatures. With this number of signature collected from citizens of Republika Srpska, in very short period of times, we have clearly indicated definite desire of Serbian people to leave union of BH. People have clearly understood that it can not and will not build its own future with antequated arabic sheriats law which is in place now here - but it has been banned in entire western civilization.

Moda Nightclub opened in the fall of 2002 in the Market Square District in Ohio City.

Since it's inception, Moda has proven to be a valuable asset to the growing business community and continues to strive in its efforts to retain it's standing as a good neighbor.

Assam to Asom what's in a name?

Mr. Chandra Prasad Saikia, ex President of Oxom Xahityo Xobha, proposed, through the Assamese magazine "Gariyoshi" that the name ASSAM is not an indigenous one, and claimed that it is a word coined by the British during the colonial rule for their own convenience and therefore the name ASSAM should be changed.

Without discussing the merits of the suggestion with any official literary organization or any other entity, last February the government of Assam took the decision to change the name of the State from Assam to Asom. This decision was based on the above suggestion. The ruling congress party took this political decision before the assembly election.

This shows that we not only have serious problem in practicing the democratic values in Assam, but it also shows that there are some grave misconceptions even among the educated people in Assam regarding the origins of the names of the state: OXOM and ASSAM. This is rather a very sad and pathetic situation.

Mr. Chandra Prasad Saikia is wrong in his assumption that the word Assam is coined by the British. Local newspapers like Amar Oxom etc are asking for an open debate on the issue. Recently the joint Xahityo Xobha Monso of Assam also took a resolution against the spelling ASOM.

The Tai-Ahom and the Buddhist organizations in Assam are sending petitions to Government of India against the spelling ASOM. Moreover the decision of the Assam Government is still pending and it has not issued any notification to that effect.

No news paper from Assam has actually written any Editorial on the issue worth its name. Respected and prestigious English language news papers like The Assam Tribune and Sentinel, instead of playing a leadership role in the debate for the right spelling of the word ASOM or ASSAM have started using the name Asom.

By this blind adoption, The Assam tribune and Sentinel are trying to make it a fait accompli.

In a democracy there is no room for a hasty decision without any public debate to pass a political resolution. The government of Assam should give the arguments for their proposal to change the name of the State. It seems in Assam those who speak, they don't know, and those who know, they don't speak.

As there are several arguments in defence of the name Assam which existed before the British came to India, the Friends of Assam and Seven Sisters (FASS), we are voicing our strong opposition to the Government of Assam's hasty decision without any public debate to pass a political resolution for the use of the spelling ASOM.

Mr. Chandra Prasad Saikia who initiated the name change has not come forward to defend his contention. The cabinet decision by itself does not become automatic implementation. As the name Assam is enshrined in the Constitution, to change the name requires a Constitutional amendment.

For this reason we from the Friends of Assam and Seven Sisiters (FASS) would like to submit a petition to the to the President of India, Prime Minister, Union Law Minister, Governor and Chief Minister of the State resenting the recent move of the State Government to respell the name of the State as 'Asom' in English.

Please find enclosed the petition we are trying to push through. We know that this change does not necessary affect each one of you and that it may not impact your individual situations but we do hope you will on principle support us in asking the Indian government to react.

S.C. Sharma, CMD, NEEPCO Ltd. has worked hard towards the uplifting of NEEPCO and its employees which prior to his tenure was going in loss of Rs.4 billion and was recommended for "Disinvestment" by Govt. of India.

Since, Mr. S.C. Sharma took over as CMD in late 2002 NEEPCO Ltd. has not only gained profit of Rs.2 billion/ yr but has also got a Indian Govt. rating of "Excellent" for its outstanding performance in the energy sector.

Its hundreds of employees, who would have otherwise lost their jobs because of the "Disinvestment" have for the first time got a 10 percent bonus. With the revived and profitable NEEPCO not only the employee morale is all time high but there is also an abundance of energy, jobs and economic development in an otherwise insurgent North Eastern India.

Therefore, we the Employees of NEEPCO want to join hands to show our support to Mr. S.C. Sharma, CMD, NEEPCO Ltd.

We also want to clarify that the misleading propaganda against Mr. Sharma is a handy work of certain wasted interests, even Mr. Jayant Barkakoti, (Director Technical, NEEPCO) who along with others are under investigation by Govt. of India for corruption charges and alleged link to the insurgents.

We, the undersigned, agree that the lack of childcare in the Dewey/Humboldt Arizona community is of great concern.

Families desiring to utilize childcare services must drive 25+ minutes to towns outside the community. In recognizing uprising gas prices, this places an unwelcome burden on many single parent families. Due to lack of commercial properties available, currently there are no options for placing a childcare facility in the Dewey/Humboldt town.

LadyBug Child Care Center would like to rezone 1851 E Prescott Dells Road, to a Residential Service Zone, which would allow for a small child care center to be placed in a residential home. This home is positioned in an area with little housing and many vacant lots. Only two surrounding homes are inhabited. The Zoning Commission has the ability to remove this critical burden by simply rezoning this property.

Not only would this offer childcare to the town of Dewey/Humboldt, but also the towns of Mayer and Cherry, which currently lack in childcare services as well. Please help us lift this burden to so many families.

Though this sounds like a relatively small request to support, many families are affected by this small petition. Your signatures and support are greatly appreciated.

Innocent Nkung, a teacher and human rights campaigner, arrived in the UK in May 2005 after fleeing for his life from the "Democratic" Republic of Congo where he had been demonstrating for free elections and for an end to the large-scale attrocities and human rights abuses that the Congolese people are currently facing.

He is being supported by local people who have helped him in his campaign to stay in the UK. We have been raising awareness of the issues in Congo by arranging Congolese social evenings for the community with traditional food and music.

Here we have discussed such topics as the reasons for the poverty in Africa and the refugee crisis and why globally we are all responsible. Innocent has given so much to our community in terms of devoting the majority of his time to volunteering for good causes and in providing unpaid french tuition to school children and we continue to support him in his aim to present 5,000 signatures to the UK Home Office to support his application for asylum.

He has also gained the support of our local media, our MP and the UK Respect Party. At present we have 3,000 signatures and we hope to reach our target by the end of July when we shall present them to the Government.

If we fail and the Government decide to ignore all the current evidence of what awaits those deported back to Congo, this warm and amiable man will certainly be murdered upon his return.

As a counter measure to the request by 40 Dragons Fans to make the Region the Newport Black and Ambers and provide Newport regional stand alone status.

We, the undersigned, would like to propose a counter measure of the Gwent Dragons actually retaining their title and becoming a real Welsh region with a balanced board of directors containing members of all of the regions member clubs, covering Gwent and the dis-enfranchised region containing Pontypridd and Brigend RFC.

This team will play at a neutral venue and seek to court the support of all regional member clubs. Current Head Coach, Paul Turner, is to remain in charge with the current squad. A new benefactor is to be sought by the new board of directors, and a proposal is to be generated for the development of sports facilities for the region at a central and neutral location, on main transport access routes, for all sports, with a stadium and running track.

This proposal is to be submitted to the Welsh Parliament and National Lottery for funding support, amongst other sources.

Energy, economy & national security go hand-in-hand. ANWR represents nation's best geologic prospects for major new onshore oil discoveries, and only the 1.5 million acre (8 percent) on the northern coast of ANWR is being considered for development.

The remaining 17.5 million acres (92 percent) of ANWR will remain permanently closed to any kind of development. If oil is discovered, less than 2,000 acres of the Coastal Plain would actually be affected - or less than half of one percent.

The 59th World Health Assembly (WHA) is scheduled to take place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland from May 22-27, 2006.

In the renewed outbreak of the avian flu in Indonesia and Laos, the Assembly will discuss several draft resolutions recommended by the Executive Board.

These include the strengthening pandemic-influenza preparedness and response, the application of the International Health Regulations 2005 and whether or not to let Taiwan become an observer.

For the past nine consecutive years in the WHA, the annual meeting of the World Health Organization's (WHO) 192 member states has denied Taiwan bowing to China's obstructions.

The exclusion of Taiwan violates the principles and spirit of the UN Charter, in particular the fundamental principle of universality, and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

To uphold the basic human rights of the 23 million people in Taiwan and to achieve global diseases prevention and to uphold the goal of the WHO on the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health, Taiwan should not be denied in WHA.

This year on May 15, 2006 with ensuring optimal national and global health Security in mind, Taiwan have voluntary declared its early compliance with all the Provisions of the IHR (2005).

Please kindly support Taiwan to be an observer in the World Health Assembly (WHA) -- the highest decision-making body of the WHO.
