1. Obedience WCH without Spain?
Spanish kennel club set rules for qualification on Obedience world championship 2013.
Three people fullfilled conditions and got enough points from kennel club judges to go.
Unfortunatelly, now they are not allowed to go, because of "low level" of quality.
Since the tearing up of the 1999 Fishing Agreement, there has been a clear lack of action taken by the Royal Gibraltar Police and the Royal Navy in enforcing Gibraltarian Law and tackling the completely illegal incursions by the Guardia Civil in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters.
It is generally understood that this is mainly to do with the UKs wish to avoid any sort of political confrontation with a fellow EU member or NATO ally.
We, the Gibraltarian people, are fed up with the constant aggressive and belligerent behaviour of our neighbour and the constant appeasement and inaction by those required by our constitution to defend us and Gibraltars territorial and political integrity. This includes the complete lack of any political will to tackle the issues which constitute oppression by the Kingdom of Spain towards Gibraltar and its people.
We are British Citizens. If this happened in waters off the UK, the response would be different. This is where the Governors attitude is wrong. The waters around Gibraltar are British - if you do not enforce it as such over time we will lose it.
3. I'm an animal loving tourist - I think?
Did you know that before and after the European tourist season, governments clean the streets from cats and dogs in, for example: Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey?
Many animals are poisoned and die a very painful death, others are beaten to death, or hanged and strangled. Many are hit by cars and left to die.
Some end up in horrible captivity where life is frightening and tormenting, and many die of disease or starvation. Enclosures in these countries are hot in summer and cold in winter. The animals die from heat stroke or freeze to death. The country and the business sector does not want that these animals disturb the good impression of their country and affect tourism negatively.
None of these countries have made efforts to curb the stray animal population by neutering campaigns, or information about neutering to the public. Instead, these countries chose to poison or otherwise get rid of their abandoned, unwanted companion animals. Never or rarely do they punish someone for abuse or murder of animals. These countries are making a strict difference between an animal with an owner and an abandoned animal. In these countries, an abandoned animal can be treated as badly as you like and in many eyes they are seen as unwanted debris that disrupts the community.
Some of these countries still enjoy the torture of bulls during bullfights and have a variety of traditions in which animals are involved and tormented. In all these countries, dogs are used for hunting. These dogs are treated very badly and starvation to death is common between the hunting seasons. They are often killed or abandoned after a bad game.
4. Vull adherir-me al manifest DUES PROPOSTES i UNA PREGUNTA

In the past few months, the Catholic Church in Cuba has been engaged in a sham "dialogue" with the repressive Castro regime, which resulted in the banishment of scores of prisoners of conscience to Spain.
Denounced by over one hundred dissidents for these actions, Cardinal Jaime Ortega has responded by condemning those who criticize him and by continuing his defense of the brutal status quo in the name of "pastoral care" and "social harmony."
This petition urges Cardinal Ortega to side with the dissidents and to call for real change in Cuba.
8. Guarantee an Offer of Housing
PJW and MJW need to be re-housed on 15th November 2010 and can not be homeless due to health issues.
Becoming homeless would be a serious health risk to this couple.

10. Stop Spanish Political Persecution - Don't Extradite the Basques
DON'T EXTRADITE THE BASQUES
*Iñaki de Juana
The Spanish authorities are trying to extradite Iñaki de Juana, who served 21 years in Spanish jails, from Belfast, where he moved immediately after his release in August last year, to face questioning related to charges of “glorifying terrorism”.
The arrest warrant is based on somebody at a rally in Donostia in August, which was celebrating Iñaki's release from prison, reading a letter that used the popular Basque expression “Aurrera bolie” (“Kick the ball forward”). The Spanish authorities claim this phrase constitutes a call for the continuation of armed struggle.
Iñaki was not present at this rally and denies writing such a letter, which Spanish police admit they cannot produce. There is no evidence that this comment was Iñaki's or that it somehow constitutes a terrorist offence.
There has been a virulent and sustained hate campaign against Iñaki by the Spanish media for many years, and Spain's former justice minister has previously publicly called for the judges to “construct new charges” against Iñaki to “keep him in jail”.
It is very clear that behind the warrant for “questioning” issued by Spain is the agenda of putting Iñaki back in prison, despite the fact that he has not committed any offence.
*Arturo ‘Beñat’ Villanueva
Basque youth activist Arturo ‘Beñat’ Villanueva was arrested in March 2001 by the Spanish police, with 15 other young pro-independence activists, and was accused of being a member of Basque pro-independence socialist youth organisation Jarrai.
While Jarrai is a solely political organisation, it was declared illegal by the Spanish authorities in 2005 and categorised as a “terrorist” organisation by Spain's Supreme Court in 2007.
Charged with “membership of a terrorist organisation”, Beñat faced a possible 14-year jail sentence for his political activism. Released on bail after 10 months in prison, he did not attend what many believed to be a political show trial.
In 2004, Beñat decided to seek refuge in Belfast from Spanish political persecution and the risk of torture.
At the time of Beñat's alleged membership of Jarrai (1994-2000), the organisation was legal. The Spanish court is applying the law that criminalised Jarrai retrospectively.
Beñat is being targeted by the Spanish authorities for carrying out political, public and peaceful youth work in the Basque Country. His only “crime” has been his political ideas in favour of Basque independence and socialism.
POLITICAL PERSECUTION
In its effort to prevent the Basque people from exercising their democratic right to self-determination, Spain is breaching several fundamental rights as outlined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including the right to freedom of opinion and expression, of peaceful assembly and association, the right to take part in the government of their state and the right not to be subjected to torture or abuse.
The British government must abide by another fundamental human right laid out in the UN Declaration: 'Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution'.
Iñaki de Juana and Arturo ‘Beñat’ Villanueva are clearly being persecuted solely for their political opinions, not for any criminal activity. We believe they will not receive a fair hearing with the Spanish judicial system and face the risk of torture.

12. Save Our Granada to Gatwick Flights
On 4 November, Monarch Airlines pulled out of its Granada (GRX) to Gatwick (LGW) route, which started in May 05. An official statement said that "demand on the route has not met expectations" - even though frequent flyers report the majority of flights being close to full. On behalf of 630+ signees (named as the "Gatwick Granada Petition Group"), we questioned the decision and the most recent statement (dated 30 November) from Monarch says:
"Monarch’s service between Granada and London Gatwick was withdrawn from 04 November 2007 - a decision that was not taken lightly and one that has been evaluated by Monarch for some time.
"Monarch’s services between the UK and Granada launched in May 2005 with a daily afternoon flight. The number of passengers initially travelling on the route however did not support seven flights a week and in an attempt to improve load factors, the frequency of flights was cut to four per week. Over the past two years, the departure time and frequency of flights have been adjusted to help stimulate sales on the route, however levels have not risen to an acceptable level and the continuation of the route has now proven to be commercially unviable for the airline.
"When compared with services between Gatwick and Malaga, which have seen average season load factors of 87%, 82% and 86% for Summer 2006, Winter 2006/2007 and Summer 2007 respectively, Granada has struggled with average season load factors of 76%, 70% and 74%. Average yields (the amount charged for a flight), are also lower on Granada services, with sales decreasing significantly if fares are raised. Average yields have been 12%, 14% and 19% behind those charged on Monarch’s Gatwick to Malaga flights, resulting in increasingly less revenue generated from operating flights to Granada.
"The decision to withdraw from the Gatwick - Granada route was not made in isolation and was part of a full network review which has resulted in a number of other under performing routes also being withdrawn.
"Monarch appreciates that the withdrawal of the Granada service will cause inconvenience to travellers from the region, however the poor load factors and decreasing yields on the route can not be sustained and support Monarch’s decision to withdraw services.
"Passengers who were booked to travel on the route after Sunday 04 November were offered alternative flights or a full refund and individual customer enquiries have been responded to giving a full explanation of Monarch’s decision to withdraw the service."
WHERE WE ARE NOW...
It is clear that Monarch won't restore the route, the witdrawal of which badly affects: expats who deliberately bought houses near Granada airport; holiday home owners whose main target audience is English clients; those who commute regularly between Granada province and Gatwick for work or family reasons; skiers and tourists from southern England.
The rather unattractive alternatives - Ryanair to Stanstead or Malaga to Gatwick - involve considerably greater hassle, travel time and transfer costs, and are particularly poor for frequent flyers or those travelling with children.
This petition will shortly be presented to Granada-Jaen Airport, in the hope the route can be resumed in summer 08 with another low cost carrier.

16. Barcelona Not Madrid as Capital of Spain
Have you been to Spain so many times and been to both Madrid and Barcelona?
Many people have seen the poor state of Madrid and would prefer barcelona as though it has even hosted the OLYMPICS!!
I am concerned with the leftist media in all the Spanish speaking news networks. As any community we are not all of the same mind and have different political opinions and many different interests.
We need this variety represented in our television networks. I am asking for Fox News to create a Spanish version of the Fox News 24 hour network. If you agree with me, please sign this petition.
Thank you for your support.
18. Ban Legal Animal Abuse In Spain
Animal abuse in Spain has gone back years. Bulls are shameless slaughtered for sport, goats are dangled headfirst out of second-story windows, geese are tortured until their heads come off, and donkeys are tied to the back of vehicles until there strength is out, at which point they are dragged along the streets. All for sport. This cruel for of animal abuse is completely legal and attended like a sporting event for the people of Spain.
In short, it is not fun, it is not sport, it is gruesome slaughtering of innocent animals. Please help to put a stop to this.
Keep the British colony of Gibraltar under British rule and from being given to Spain. The people of the 300 year old colony want to remain BRITISH but Blair wants to give it to Spain! Don't let the same happen to Gibraltar as what happened to Hong Kong in 1997.
