1. ASCAP Performing Arts Recognition
Approximately six years ago, Tyrell Lewis, established the first performing arts club available to all residents. The All S.(Striving) T.(Towards) A.(Awareness) R.(Resistance) Performing Arts Club has operated with minimal financial contributions (registration/ monthly fees) from parents. Recently, Mr. Lewis has been joined by Mr. Chasen Bynum and Ms. Patti Harris.
Collectively these professionally trained artists operate ASPAC and dedicate their time and talents to our Pleasantville children, without financial compensation or official recognition from local government, by helping to deter youth from detrimental behaviors and fostering self cultural expression via talents our youth are often not aware they possess. By encouraging one another our children inspire the best in themselves and each other. Parents also being inspired assimilate that vibrant, cohesive and healthy energy and emotionally translate that into community pride and local identity.
On a good day our children have had to endure acting and dancing on cold concrete floors or delegated to perform the last show of the season while competing for audience attention with a boxing ring. Confusion and lack of enthusiasm can leech into an impressionable child’s psyche when they realize they have been minimized by lack of planning or an event has not been advertised.
“You can define how strong (short sighted) a democracy is by how its (local) government treats….the child...”
2. Get the Talley Trio on the Singing News
Since late 1996, the Talley Trio has blessed audiences in several countries as well as here in the United States of America with their singing. In their 14-year career, they've had 10 #1 songs on the Singing News Top 80 charts. Arguably, the Talley Trio's five most popular songs are "The Healer", "His Life for Mine", "The Broken Ones", "Mountain Mover", and "Searchin'".
The group's only appearance on the Singing News cover is April 2003. Lauren Talley appeared solo on the November 2006 cover. However, the group seriously needs to get back on the cover! Please sign and pass the word!!
As a kid myself I have been watching Australian Idol since the program started and that it is unfair to make the age minimum limit sixteen.
Singing is a passion of mine and it is the same of alot of kids in Australia. Us kids have talent that needs to be recognized.
Jillian Hall is an American professional wrestler who currently performs for World Wrestling Entertainment on its Raw brand. Jillian Hall made her World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) debut on the July 28, 2005 episode of SmackDown! with a gimmick of a "fixer" for the heel stable MNM.
She also had a "growth" on the left side of her face, which she referred to as a "blemish", that announcers constantly speculated on the nature of.[10] The gimmick carried over to OVW, where the Blonde Bombers forced her to choose between them and MNM.[9][11] She eventually chose MNM, but did not stay with that group for very long. Her first feud on SmackDown! was against Stacy Keibler, with the two confronting each other many times until Hall cheated to defeat Keibler in Keibler's final match on Velocity.[12]
Hall was later approached by John "Bradshaw" Layfield, a former WWE Champion who asked for help repairing his image after a loss to underdog Rey Mysterio.[13] As JBL's "Image Consultant", she had an important role in JBL's feud with The Boogeyman, which included her having a hand full of worms shoved up her skirt and her mole being bitten off by the monster.[14] In March, Hall briefly feuded with heel Kristal, playing a babyface. She lost to the rookie in a "Divas Uncovered" match on March 10 but was able to defeat her on other ocassions. She also successfully guided JBL to winning the United States Championship from Chris Benoit at WrestleMania 22.[15]
That April, he fired her after Hall accidentally slammed a cage door on JBL's head during a steel cage match and put together a "second-rate" United States championship celebration.[16][17] After being fired, she turned face and began a feud with former client then heel, Melina of MNM.[18] She defeated her in a six man tag team match along with Paul London and Brian Kendrick and in singles competition at Judgment Day 2006 in a controversial fashion.[19]
For the rest of the summer, she teamed with Ashley Massaro in a feud against Michelle McCool and then-heel, Kristal Marshall.[20][21][22] She would participate in a Bra and Panties match at The Great American Bash which was won by Ashley; afterwards, she was not utilized on television much.
She returned in February 2007 as a heel and began a new feud with Massaro centered around Hall's jealousy of Massaro's recent Playboy appearance, matches between the two mainly resulted in losses for Jillian. During the feud, Hall attempted to prove that she was talented in areas beyond wrestling and being eye candy by kayfabe singing (poorly) at every opportunity.[23] She later attempted to impress music producer Timbaland by performing a song she claimed to have composed entitled "Hot Bread," looking for a spot in a video he was preparing and a possible future collaboration on a music project, but he turned her down.[24] There is also controversy that her bad singing gimmick was created to be a parody of Brooke Hogan, as some wrestling magazines have proclaimed as well.
Ashley, with whom she had been feuding, was one of the Divas who was chosen to work with Timbaland instead. Jealous of Ashley's recent successes, she (kayfabe) attacked and seriously injured Ashley, with the reasoning that if she couldn't appear in Timbaland's music project, neither would Massaro. Following this incident, she would have a short feud with then face, Michelle McCool, who came to Ashley's aid. She defeated McCool in a singles match on April 27 edition of SmackDown!. The feud between the two had also begun because Michelle McCool was annoyed by Jillian's singing. Jillian sung before the match and once again after she defeated her. McCool interrupted her and threw Jillian into the steel steps. McCool managed to defeat Jillian in singles competition at other times during the feud.
In a backstage segment with Ashley Massaro, Ashley threatened Jillian to hope and pray that she would be drafted otherwise Massaro would end her career. Jillian violently slapped Ashley across the face and ran away. Massaro chased after her, only to run in to Vince McMahon and to spill his coffee all over his suit. McMahon then suspended Ashley.
Jillian works on the crowd during a Raw house show.Jillian was drafted from SmackDown! to Raw on June 17, 2007 as part of the 2007 Supplemental Draft. The following night, Jillian won her Raw debut where she teamed with Melina to defeat Mickie James and Candice Michelle in a tag team match. From then on, Jillian mainly competed in singles matches against Mickie James on Heat which resulted in losses. Shortly after she was able to defeat Mickie James on Raw and Maria on Heat. She resumed her singing gimmick not long after, frequently appearing in backstage and in-ring segments, including a stint as one of the contestants for the 'WWE Idol' segment on August 13, 2007. She also entered into an on-and-off feud with ring announcer Lilian Garcia stemming from her jealousy of Lilian's flourishing singing career.
On the November 19, 2007 edition of Raw, Hall executed a 450° splash, a move allegedly banned in WWE and that was not seen on WWE television for quite some time. Hall failed to land on her opponent, Maria, when she rolled away in time, and hit her tag team partner Melina instead.
During Raw's 15th Anniversary show held on December 10, 2007, Hall wanted to sing a song from her album, but a returning Trish Stratus cut her off. As Stratus was talking about being part of the show, Hall told her that she (Trish) had the biggest ego in WWE History. This brought out Lita, a long time rival of Stratus. Hall attempted to encourage Lita to attack Stratus, however both returning Divas attacked Hall instead.
Since then, she has kept her singing gimmick and has been competing in singles and tag team matches, teaming with Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea Burchill and Layla, against Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Melina and Candice Michelle, most of which have resulted in losses.
On the December 29, 2008, edition of Raw, Jillian competed in a number one contender Divas battle royal for the opportunity to face Beth Phoenix at the Royal Rumble for the Women's Championship. She was able to eliminate Kelly Kelly, but was later eliminated by Mickie James after being thrown over the top rope with Katie Lea Burchill whilst both were trying to eliminate Melina. On January 12, 2009 she teamed up with Women's Champion Beth Phoenix but the match never officially started due to Rosa Mendez posing as a paparazzi and attacking Melina when she was entering the ring. Beth and her attacked Melina and Kelly Kelly. On April 5, at WrestleMania XXV, Jillian competed in the 25-Diva battle royal, which was won by "Santina" Marella.
Day 36, 28th of May, 06, Michael was evicted from the big brother house.
Quoting the Big Brother website, from day one Michael lived up to his psychological profile, proving that he was "likely to be strategic as he is analytical". He analyzed, pondered, assessed, scrutinized and dissected every aspect of the House - and drove a lot of people crazy in the process! The BB House just won't be the same without the 'self-employed' Insider.
Who could forget his insider missions:
Sabotaging the clown task
Concocting a tale involving 'Reuben'
And stealing the housemates toothbrushes
Love him or hate him, Michael did cause havoc in the house and offered exciting TV viewing. Yet, the controversy did not end there. Michael continued to voice his opinions on the nomination show, Rove Live and the Kyle and Jackie O show.
So what has happened since then? Well, if 20000+ viewers voice a positive message wanting Michael back in the house, Michael may be considered to return back to the house as a contestant or as a guest. This is a shout out to all viewers who enjoy exciting television. This is not a shout out just to Michael fans.
So, if you love to be entertains
make sure you let big Brother know that the house needs Michael by singing the petition. Never Quit Michael! Never Quit!
6. 'Make' Sharee Audition For Australian Idol
Australian Idol is the Australian version of the UK's "Pop Idol." It showcases a large array of 'talent' and then allows the audience to vote for their favourite contestant. The overall winner is then awarded a recording deal with Sony BMG, and expected to release multi-platinum records.
As some of you may note, this petition falls under the category of "Human Rights." Basic human rights. We, as humans, have a right not to be bombarded with fat, emo teenagers who can't sing, and through a detestable manipulation of the voting results, win Australian Idol. And yet, our rights as citizens of this great nation are being violated. I shudder to think what would happen should another similar 'singer' win Australian Idol next year. That is why we must force Sharee into auditioning. Also, I want to be able to say, "Hey! I know the Australian Idol!" and whatnot. And all you people could say, "Hey! I signed a petition to make that Australian Idol girl audition!" Or something similar.
So sign. Sign it...*OR DIE!!!
And give me pie. Seriously...I want some pie.
*eventually
