1. Open Asylum Inquiry: Must Hear Testimony of Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Supporters 
Parliament's Home Affairs Select Committee are about to hold an Inquiry in to Asylum - covering all aspects of the UK system from screening, detention, Fast Track, destitution, media reporting, women and the vulnerable, and outcomes of the system.
This Inquiry follows the committee of MP's damning report on the thoroughly discredited UKBA, which is now being shut down, as Movement for Justice had called for.
Hearing the direct, open live testimony of the experience of all aspects of the asylum system from those who experience it is essential, as the key prerequisite of the Inquiry to fully comprehend the system as it is, and to fix the broken system that exists. Our petition and action is crucial so that change is not merely cosmetic, and Britain live up to its promise of sanctuary, safety and equality.
2. STOP DRUGS AND VIOLENCE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS
The park at the corner of Thornhill ST. and Thornhill CT. is a continuing problem of children and adults who go there at all hours of the night to smoke marijuana, crack,fight, and to use herion by injecting themselves with needles.
Many times neighbors have found crack pipes and needles in their yard and the park. This park is not a safe place for young children to play in or for anyone to even walk through.
This problem has to be stopped and for this to happen the park needs to be tore down and shut down for good.
Neopets.com has become very addiciting to everyone that I know!
The auctions are giving me headaches and i think i might be losing money there!

Banned unjustly from rangerboard.com and having found out others there treated the same or worse I am putting together this petiton to shut down the site known as rangerboard.com.
The site can be brought back but only if they agree to follow a set of just rules which will be agreed upon by all who sign this petition and the creators of said petition and rangerboard.com
5. Shut down the bonsai kittens site
This is so terrible. A site that we were able to shut last year has returned We have to try to shut it down again! (www.bonsaikitten.com)
A Japanese man in New York breeds and sells kittens that are called BONSAI CATS. That would sound cute, if it weren't kittens that were put into little bottles after being given a muscle relaxant and then locked up for the rest of their lives!! The cats are fed through a straw and have a small tube for their faces. The skeleton of the cat will take on the form of the bottle as the kitten grows. The cats never get the opportunity to move.
They are used as original and exclusive souvenirs. These are the latest trends in New York, China, Indonesia and New Zealand. If you think you can handle it, go to this site www.bonsaikitten.com and have a look at the methods being used to put these little kittens into bottles.
This petition needs 500 names, so please put your one name on it!!!
The food is old and dirty. The illegal aliens that work there do not wash their hands when cooking. The boss John harasses female employees,
work conditions are unfair, and the place is a health safety hazard.
Someone needs to stop it, and we need the health inspectors to go in. If they do, The Countryside Market and Delicatessan will be shut down in a second.
The Shuffle Inn, located on Colfax and Zenobia, has been a neighborhood nuisance for many years. It blocks up the streets with cars, and it has created many crimes in that neighborhood.
Example. . . We recently had a shooting in the middle of the street at 1:00 in the morning. Every weekend and sometimes at other times we have drunk people going down the street to get in their cars, throwing beer bottles in yards, hit and runs to vehicles, and other vandalism. We respectfully wish to have this bar closed do to this nuisance.
8. Shut down American Poetry Society
We have to shut down poetryamerica.com in order to put a stop to the scammimg that these lowlifes are doing. American Poets Society is the same company as Poetry.com in the same state (MD) in the same city (Baltimore) in the same address (600 Reisterstown Road Suite 200G) in the same zip code (21208) with a P.O. Box!! How far or how low are these scam artists going to go to greedily steal our hard-earned money? Let's shut them down for good, sign this petition!!!!!!!!!!!
This petition is to bring back Groups and Factions . The mods have been treating the people who hold this subject dear with no respect , and I find it assinine that "officials" would act in such ways. I would also like to say that G&F were very important , many topics were being discussed , and all of those topics were shut down. It's not right , and I for one would like to make Portent a better Community by re adding this great posting area.
10. Allow Abortion!
Since Republicans have been in office, the US has seen several abortion clinics shut down due to funding cuts. Abortion should bean option for those who feel it is neccessary.
We should take the time to education women whoa re considering abortions on all the side effects it will have, but regardless, it should be an option for them. If someone is against abortion, they don't have to have one, but who is our government to decide whether or not abortions should be legal?
I strongly support president Bush and everything he is doing for this country, but until he becomes a scared and pregnant woman considering abortion, he shouldn't touch this issue and should not be cutting the funds for abortions,making them harder to get.
11. Shut Down Split-Personality.net
We the undersigned are VERY angry about the behavior of Brianne Patterson, owner of the older Mocha-Twist.net and her newest obomination, Split-Personality.net. For over a year we say Brianne has stolen layouts, copied layouts, and ignored copyright warnings by claiming work as her own.
We demand that HostRadius terminate her domain because of multiple accounts of copyright infringment. You've given her too many second chances.
A new domain has copied numerous websites and must be stopped.
We, the following, are angry and disgusted with the behavior of a new domain, Mocha-Twist.net. She has violated the terms of service for numerous websites and has outright stolen material as her own. We ask Endore to shut down her domain.
Please sign this petition because I want to close down poetry.com, famouspoets.com, and also related websites. There have been suggestions that their intentions are not what they seem to be. I refuse to let them continue to get away with ripping people off, and I will do what it takes to get those poetry contests shut down!
