1. Applebee's should rehire Chelsea Welch

An Applebee's waitress who posted a receipt with a note from a pastor complaining about the automatic gratuity added to the bill on the Internet was fired on Wednesday after the pastor complained to her manager.

Chelsea Welch, the waitress, wrote in an email to Yahoo News that the pastor (who has since been identified as Alois Bell) told Welch's manager at the St. Louis-area Applebee's that the ensuing firestorm had "ruined" her reputation.

"I give God 10%," Bell wrote on the receipt, scratching out the automatic tip and scribbling in an emphatic "0" where the additional tip would be. "Why do you get 18?" (There were more than eight people in Bell's party, triggering the auto-tip.)

2. We don't "like" your treatment of roleplayers

On FaceBook, there are perfectly lovable accounts made by nerdy people, and they're accounts made for roleplaying as one's favorite character from whatever movie or TV show that they are most nerdy about.

Supporters of these accounts (aka those who have such an account and/or hold at least one dear on their "friends" list) lovingly refer to them as "roleplayers", "FaceBook roleplayers", "RP's", or "FBRP's". But in the eyes of those against these accounts (tattletales and FB itself), we/they should be counted as "fake accounts".

I am a supporter, and I belong in the "and" section. I have a separate account as Jessie from the Toy Story series, and I hold many roleplayers on both of my "friends" list very, very dear to my heart. Recently, someone threatened to report and ban my favorite roleplayer of Timon from the The Lion King series, and I was absolutely heartbroken. This wouldn't have been the first time one of my roleplayer friends had been permanently force-deleted, either.

I know that there are some people who hide behind anonymity to do truly terrible things to others, but I think that there should be true proof that that's what someone's doing before they ban somebody. One example would be a screenshot that can be proved to be 100% unedited.

UPDATE: The photo you see as the petition photo was the exact photo that was the profile picture of the Timon roleplayer I mentioned. I cannot currently message him, see his wall, or see his profile picture, as he temporarily deleted his account by choice in response to the threats. He's back on, but I still don't have the ability to talk to him. I really am heartbroken about that.

Post Natal Depression is a crippling Mental Health issue for many Mothers, new and experienced, across the Country.

4. Stop Chinese Fur Farms!

This is inhuman. These poor animals are having their skin ripped off for what? The pleasure of humans. Society has everything that it wants other than fur. The one thing that we can't have naturally we have to take and it's wrong.

On these farms, foxes, minks, rabbits, and other animals pace and shiver in outdoor wire cages, exposed to driving rain, freezing nights, and, at other times, scorching sun.

5. Stop Puppy Mills!

At Puppy mills they "breed" dogs or so they call it, it's cold heartless torture. Animals go through hell there, they get diseases and most end up dieing.

They later ship those poor harmless creatures to pet shops using a truck. By buying animals from pet shops you help these cruel people so please lets try and stop them!

6. Petition against seal slaughter

Every year millions of Harp seals migrate to Canada to have their pups but every year thousands of the baby Harp seals get slaughtered by cruel fishermen.

First they are clubbed to death or sometimes not even to death then the sealers put a hook up their nose and drag them to the ship where the seal is skinned, sometimes alive and conscious.

7. Horse slaughter is extremely inhumane!

Horse slaughter is extremely inhumane! Many people do not realize how awful these horses are treated.

Currently, three foreign-owned slaughterhouses in the United States are killing horses for human consumption. They are in Ft. Worth, Texas; Dallas Crown in Kaufman, Texas and Cavel International in DeKalb, Illinois.

According to the US Department of Agriculture over 100,000 horses were slaughtered in 2006. In addition to the horses killed in the three US-based plants, thousands more are transported under deplorable conditions across our borders into Canada and Mexico to be slaughtered.

Conditions of transport are appalling. Horses are typically hauled for more than 24 hours without rest, water or food in trailers that provide little protection from weather extremes. They are often forced onto cattle trailers with ceilings so low they injure their heads. Many horses—sick, lame, pregnant or blind—are in distress even before being loaded.

Once at the slaughterhouse, the suffering continues unabated. Horses are left for long periods in tightly packed trailers, subjected to further extremes of heat and cold. In hot weather, thirst is acute. Downed animals are unable to rise. All the horses are moved off forcibly when it’s time to unload. Callous workers, using fiberglass rods or electric prods, poke and beat the horses’ faces, necks, backs and legs as they are shoved through the facility and into the kill box.

Subject to extreme overcrowding, abuse, deafening sounds and the smell of blood, the horses become more and more desperate, exhibiting fear typical of “flight” behavior—pacing in prance-like movements with their ears pinned back against their heads and eyes wide open.

Despite the federal mandate that horses be rendered unconscious before having their throats slit, repeated blows with captive bolt pistols are often necessary to stun the animals. Terrified horses writhe in the holding stalls (known as the “kill box”), legs buckling under their weight after each traumatic, misguided and ineffective blow to their heads. Death, the final betrayal of these noble animals, is protracted and excruciating.

Prior to the closure of all three foreign-owned plans in the U.S., over 100,000 horses were being slaughtered in the United States and processed for human consumption. Now, tens of thousands of live horses are transported across the border to Mexico and Canada for slaughter. After these horses are killed, their flesh is shipped to Europe and Asia for human consumption. Their owners are often unaware of the pain, fear, and suffering their horses endure before being slaughtered.

Some myths about horse slaughter:

Myth: Horse slaughter is a form of humane euthanasia.

Fact: Horse slaughter is a far cry from humane euthanasia.

"Euthanasia" means a gentle, painless death provided in order to prevent suffering. Horse slaughter is a death fraught with terror, pain, and suffering. Horses are shipped for more than 24 hours at a time in crowded double-decker cattle trucks without food, water, or rest. Pregnant mares, foals, injured horses, and even blind horses must endure the journey.

Once they arrive, their suffering intensifies—undercover footage obtained by The Humane Society of the United States demonstrates that fully conscious horses are shackled and hoisted by the rear leg and have their throats slit. Because horses are skittish by nature, it is particularly difficult to align them correctly and ensure the captive bolt stun gun renders them unconscious.

Unwanted horses should be humanely euthanized by a licensed veterinarian when no other option exists, rather than placed on a truck, cruelly transported, and then butchered. Most horse owners already use humane euthanasia for their older or ill horses.

Even though the states have shut their plants, our horses are still being subjected to intense suffering and abuse though transport and slaughter over the border. Undercover footage shows live horses being dragged, whipped, and crammed into trucks in 110 degrees on their way to a horrific form of slaughter in Mexico and Canada. These horses are stabbed multiple times in the neck with a "puntilla knife" to sever their spinal cords. This procedure does not render the horse unconscious, and is not a stunning method. Rather, it paralyzes the horse, leaving him/her twitching on the ground, unable to move or breathe, and then they die from suffocation (because their lungs stop working) or from blood loss during dismemberment.

You can make a difference! Please help by signing this petition! We must stop the way these horses are being killed!!!

8. Eliminate Unnecessary Animal Testing

Animals have been killed and tortured just so they can tell you how much detergent will burn your eyes out on the warning! Just so we can have makeup, just for us to have shampoo! Is this right? NO!

Companies that test:
Kleenex
IAMS
Chanel
L'oreal
Pantene
Calvin Klein
soft soap
Johnson and Johnson
Victoria's secret
Clairol
Playtex

and thats barely any!

EXAMPLES: These companies usually test on chimpanzees, chickens, and rabbits. They torture them endlessly. An example of animal testing: A rabbit's eyes are taped open and a liquid acid is slowly dripped in (laundry detergent).

They see how much detergent it takes before the rabbit goes blind or they're eyes burn out. They do this just so they can put "Warning. Not safe if goes into eyes" on the label. Really?

EVIDENCE: A few years ago the goverment put up an under cover case. What did they find but another tape of scientists working for a company placing a baby monkey into a blender. Yet, more signs of abuse from animal testers!!!!

PLEASE HELP STOP THIS BY SIGNING THIS PETITION!!!
