1. Craig Bellamy to stay coaching Melbourne Storm 
Craig Bellamy has provided extraordinary leadership as coach for Melbourne Storm.
His commitment to the players and the club has been the benchmark coach in the NRL for 10 years. He is held in the highest regard by the fans the club and his peers.
We as fans wish he will stay as our coach
2. In Support of Glamorgan Primary School continuing to provide sports uniforms for students
The Glamorgan Board of Trustees has stated :
- that it is not an option for them to replace the current sports uniforms due to the cost;
- that from 2013 all students who represent the school in a sports team will need to purchase their own uniform.
The cost of these uniforms indicated by the Board of Trustees in the quarterly newsletter on November 2012 will range from $85 - $95, but these costs are indicative and have not been confirmed.
We believe that there are alternative ways to fund a 'set' of school uniforms. For example, fundraising, applying for grants, sponsorships etc. There are parents who are willing to assist in these processes.
Parents would also be willing to pay a 'rental' fee for uniforms which would recoup the cost of the uniforms over a few years.
Many families in Torbay are struggling financially. Currently registering for sports teams is a large expense especially when there is more than one child attending the school. Netball in particular has raised the cost of registering significantly. This could ultimately determine whether or not a child would sign up for a sport.
3. Demand change at the Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Board and coach need to go. Enough is enough.
The board has been making bad decisions for years now, and is tearing apart our club.
4. Save the Golden Lions Rugby Union on demand of Player 23
The Golden Lions Rugby Union franchise is likely to be relegated and excluded from the Super 15 in 2013 to make way for the Southern Kings.
We the player 23’s, the Supporters of Rugby would love to see rugby development in the Eastern Cape but not at the expense of the Golden Lions.
The Golden Lions has a rich history and has been part of the South African Rugby landscape for many years. Please do not forget that this great game is in essence about us – the loyal Supporters of Rugby.

Parramatta have lost their way on the footy field and its time for the fans to take over.
Mary is the most qualified CEO in waiting and is now needed to take over the club to return it to its former glory.

For years the condition of the fields at M.M. Robinson have been appalling.
8. Rematch between Australia and South African Rugby 2011 World Cup
Although not allowed, Bryce Lawrence refereed a game with bias. His calls, led to the outcome of Australia (his native team) being in final. His father is also an official in IRB so he is beyond reproach. S.A. had 70 percent possession of the ball and still lost on bias and prejudice calls. Any one with knowledge of the sport knows and see s clearly that this was unsporting, and cheating.
Rugby has remained among only few sports with honor, and code, allowing this game to stand goes against this. although never been done, we believe extenuating circumstances call for this first time, since you started off illegally with a bias ref and finished it by standing by idle and letting this disgrace of a game stand. its a world cup semi final, done every 4 yrs, surely due to that alone, leeway should be given.
9. Support Rugby Merger Talks (League & Union)
Rugby league and rugby union are currently battling it out in a downward spiral of falling popularity, relentless tales of off field barbarism and vulgarity, scarcity of financial resources and a shrinking base of on-field talent.
The two codes are also beleaguered by inherent flaws, which detract from them as spectacles in an ever increasingly competitive sporting market.
Ironically, many of these flaws, such as scrums in Rugby League and constant kicking in Rugby Union, are unique to each code. However, attempting to rectify these flaws would require the game’s administrators to make rule changes which would bring the codes closer together.
The separation of Rugby League and Rugby Union represent a 110 year old pay dispute.
The source of this dispute is long gone. Both codes are now fully professional at their elite levels and are paid large sums from the same source in Foxtel.
Of course, it would be difficult to come upon an agreed set of rules for the game, as well as the acceptance by other countries. But change is difficult to accept.
Sometimes it just has to occur.
A combining of the codes would assist the following problems for Rugby League;
* lack of international appeal and meaningful international fixtures
* risk in expansion within Australia
* it’s lack of professional media presentation
* need for a more revitalised and more entertaining style of play
Benefits for Rugby Union in its present form would be;
* domestic club rugby would be re-born using a revamped NRL structure as the base
* large expansion of junior territory and resources
* improved pool of players at international level
* a more revitalised and entertaining style of play
There is a proposal in place to redevelop sports fields in Roma Qld .
There is a number of concerns in regards to this development, and they are outlined below;
1/ The proposed development is in a flood zone.
2/ Shared facilities are proposed.These include fields, clubrooms, etc. Little detail on the workings of this club is currently available;
3/ Access to the proposed facility is poor. A considerable road upgrade would need to be undertaken.
4/ Current facilities used by cricket and Rugby Union would be rezoned for commercial development. This would have a detrimental effect on the appearance of Roma.
5/ In particular concern to the Rugby Union Club,is their requirement that as they are part of a wider competition, their homefield requirements would become paramount. This would impact on potential availability of the clubrooms for other sports, and could be cause for conflict.
6/ Council has not engaged the Community in a meaningful way. Their approach has been piecemeal and fractious.
7/ Lesser Sports such has Soccer have not been able to plan with certainty. Coupled with natural disaster (the soccer fields have experienced severe flooding over the last two years), this has impacted negatively on the viability of the Club.
11. SLS: Super League Show for England & Wales
Currently the BBC only broadcast 'The Super League Show' in afternoon and evening slots across Northern England regions (North East & Cumbria, North West, Yorks & Lincs, Yorkshire). Whilst viewers in the Midlands, Southern England and Wales can only see it in the very early hours of the morning (usually between 12:00am and 4:00am).
We would like the programme to be broadcast in it's usual afternoon/evening schedule across the whole of England and Wales from 2012.
This is desired because there are now a large number of Rugby League fans living outside of the four Northern England regions mentioned above, as well as two professional clubs that currently play in the Super League competition. We believe that currently the BBC is not making the programme accessible to a broad audience and attempting to widen it's appeal*.

14. Review the Steph Brennan HPC decision
Steph Brennan was recently struck off the HPC register for his role in the Bloodgate affair in professional rugby union. Many people feel that the penalty was disproportionate considering the HPC's indicative sanctions policy.

16. Bring Back Death Penalty In South Africa!
For the past fifteen years there has been a RAPID increase in murder, rape and all other incredibly savage acts and crime in general. South Africa is currently NUMBER ONE on in the world for murder, rape and all crime and therefore earned the name "CRIME CAPITAL OF THE WORLD".
More then THREE THOUSAND FARMERS have been murdered since 1994 and nearly more then 50 South Africans are murdered PER DAY! A BIG portion of that are CHILDREN that were RAPED TO DEATH!
These SAVAGES are seldom caught and only a few gets captured and convicted. Most of these murderers actually prefer being in jail. They receive clean beds, three meals and free education if they so desire.
This becomes another burden on the taxpayer. With other words the law-abiding citizens of South Africa actually are then the ones getting punished for the murderer 's heinous acts! More then 600 South Africans have actually successfully gained refugee status in other countries! HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS South Africans have already fled the country in fear of their lives! This resulted in the ultimate "Brain Drain" of the country.
Instead of keeping the LAW-ABIDING, EDUCATED citizens of South Africa IN the country, the Lack of the South African Government's involvement and lack of proper punishment has secured South Africa 's first place as a MURDER/RAPE/CRIME - CAPITAL IN THE WORLD!
I am of the strong opinion that Capital Punishment for murder should be reintroduced to South Africa! Amnesty International states that the Death Penalty 'violates the right of the life as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.' The question - What about the lives and rights of the victims? Were they not entitled to the Right of Life and Prohibition of Torture?
The person that takes the life savagely of another should no longer benefit from the protections afforded under any legislation. The failure of the government to actually ensure the citizens of South Africa a safer country is no longer expectable.

17. Show Your Support For Coventry RFC
Coventry RFC, founded in 1874 has been put into liquidation today by its owner Andrew Green.
We now need to move forward and show this that this Rugby Club is for the people of Coventry and for the rugby community at large.
18. Support a WA franchise in the NRL
With the NRL Executive Committee looking to make an official decision on expansion plans as early as next year (2010), there needs to be a strong and significant campaign continuing to promote Western Australia as a viable and necessary option.
The NRL claims to be a national competition, yet has a high saturation of its teams residing in New South Wales and Queensland (... and one team in isolation within Victoria, ACT, and NZ). This competition, at present, is not a national competition, but rather an Eastern States corporation.
For a long time, Western Australia has been a strong support for many sporting competitions. The Western Force have the largest membership base within the Super 14 (rugby union) competition. The Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles have two of the largest membership bases in the AFL. All three clubs are amongst the richest (financially) in their respective competitions. This is a significant point the NRL needs to recognise.
Additionally, Western Australia has the support base for rugby league, it has the infrastructure (grounds), it has a solid community development focus (amongst its local competition), and has historically held a franchise in the past; and is more than capable of operating one again.
Presently, the National Rugby League has suggested an expansion into the "central coast" region. Another eastern states franchise, in an already saturated market. This will only further cannibalise fans and supporters from existing clubs over in the Eastern States, and is a nonsensical approach to solving the competitions market coverage and financial short-falls.
It's time the rest of the country becomes involved in the game. It's time other states and territories are considered. It's time for the NRL to become a truly national competition as it's namesake suggests. It's time for the NRL to compete with it's main competition (the AFL) on the national stage.
Football grounds have become sanitised by the introduction of all seater stadiums.
We want a safe standing area at East End Park to accommodate those fans who want to bring the atmosphere back to a stadium who once proudly had the title of Best Football Ground in Scotland. Let's put some life back into this grand old lady.

20. Get the NRL to listen to the fans!
The NRL won't listen to the fans...they think the game is in a perfect state, when week in week out teams are getting robbed by shoddy refereeing decisions.
It is only worried about teams in Sydney when it is the NATIONAL Rugby League.
On Saturday 14 June, it was announced that the Coventry Telegraph had 2 weeks to raise a bond of £100,000 to lodge with the RFU to allow Coventry Rugby Football Club to continue playing in National One.
Support for the Club, established in 1874, has been overwhelming with messages of support and donations being received from Coventry supporters, the wider rugby community and the general public.
In just 2 weeks, our appeal to find the bond of has revealed a deep source of pride and support in our local team and community.
We appeal to the RFU to allow Coventry to continue in National One in the upcoming season to ensure its survival so it can exist for future generations to aspire to and maintain its long and proud history.

22. Support Odsal Sporting Village
A petition to Bradford Metropolitan District Council to formally proceed with the Odsal Sports Village so that the people of the Bradford Metropolitan District can have access to modern sports facilities including a swimming pool.
This is for all those fans of English premiership rugby that feel the play-offs are a farce. How often do the teams that finish top of the table actually win the league? It is un-fair on the teams that have been cosistently good all season and to blow it in one match!
To any football fan it seems rediculous. It's like saying to Manchester United, yes you have been the best team all season but you have to play another game to prove that you are and to get your hands on the silverwear.
It is just a plan for the RFU and premier rugby to make more money. It was far better before the playoffs were introduced.
So on the 19th of august 2009 this petition will be sent to the HQ of English rugby, the RFU to see if we can ban the play-offs.
24. No to the IRB’s Experimental Law variations
The International Rugby Board Council announced on 1st May 2008 that it had approved a global trial of Experimental Law Variations (ELVs) for a 12 month period starting on August 1, 2008. The trial at all levels of the Game will involve 13 of the 23 ELVs that have been undergoing experimentation in approved tournaments around the world over the last two years.
It was also agreed that the sanctions ELVs (reduction of sanctions to free kicks from penalty kicks where possible) that were not approved for global trials would be further trialled in a selected elite Northern Hemisphere competition in the 2008/09 season.

25. Cardiff Blues - Stay at the Arms Park
The Cardiff Blues will soon be moving to a new stadium on the outskirts of the city.
However, a majority of loyal fans wish to stay at the Arms Park, and their voices need to be heard.

The current final 8 series is a joke, a mediocre team can scrape in and still make the finals.
It appears to be based more on marketing and revenue factors rather than reward for consistent effort in a season.

28. Save Rushden and Higham Rugby Club!!
Rushden and East Northants Council plan to intergrate The Pemberton Centre and Splash Pool into a single leisure centre on Manor Park - the site of Rushden's existing rugby club.
Andy Mercer, Leader of East Northamptonshire Council, says: "This is terrific news for Rushden – the new centre will replace the Splash Pool and Pemberton Centre, which both need upgrading, but which are short of space for expansion. It will provide state of the art leisure facilities for Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Irthlingborough and the surrounding villages."
29. Bring Back Rugby Posts In Reading
Since 2000 all the public Rugby posts in Reading have slowly disappeared and either been replaced by Football pitches or by nothing.
This leaves the people of Reading nowhere to play Rugby except private clubs.
This restricts Rugby to Public Schools and Countrysides.
This Petition is designed to pressure local authorities to bring back the posts so that WE have the choice of what sports we play and not them.
30. I Want a Match of the Day for Rugby
First established as a group on Facebook on October 29th 2007, it became clear after only one week and over 1,500 members that this was a subject the UK’s rugby lovers felt very strongly about. After 6 weeks, there were over 14,500 members.
What we all want to see is a ‘regular’ terrestrial TV slot dedicated to show highlights from the weekend’s rugby union action across the UK. All too often Rugby Special concentrated on the Guinness Premiership and I like many others, would like to see Magners League coverage as well as other aspects of the game itself.
Football has more than it’s fair share of coverage on Match of the Day, the repeat and Match of the Day 2, not to mention Football Focus and other round up programmes.
Ok, so football has a greater following and it’s all about viewing figures at the end of the day, but how many people are you realistically going to get tuning in to watch Rugby Special at midnight on a Sunday night or some of the other crazy times it was on?
Considering all of our 4 home nations are in the top 10 IRB World Rankings, no real effort is made to try and capture this audience and we need to prove to the BBC via our campaign petition and through your support spreading the word, that the UK rugby lovers have a voice.
The BBC:
- holds rights to show highlights of the Guinness Premiership.
- holds exclusive rights to show the Anglo-Welsh EDF Energy Cup.
- holds joint rights to show the Celtic League, Wales, Ireland and Scotland's top league along with Setanta Sports.
- BBC Sport produces the Welsh-language S4C's coverage of the Celtic League and EDF Energy Cup under the Y Clwb Rygbi brand.
Seeing as they have the rights to the highlights, the demand is there and we pay our TV licences, I feel we have a public right to make our voice heard.
