Back in 1958, Alvin & The Chipmunks was known as "Dave Seville & The Chipmunks". It included many of the songs later introduced in The Alvin Show. After Ross Bagdasarian Sr. died in the 1970's, Ross Jr. felt in the 80's it was time to bring them back.

This decision was a success! We didn't see are Chipmunks again until 2007. Instead of singing their wonderful versions of Classic Rock like they did from the 50's to the 80's, the singing trio sang Hip-Hop, Alvin farts in Dave's face, and Simon growls at a hot maid! Do I need to say more???

If you remember children's TV shows from the 1990's, then you probably remember and miss shows like Allegra's Window and Eureeka's Castle.

I miss those shows so much! So sign my petition to bring them back on the air or on DVD.

I really miss a show called Allegra's Window from the 90's and it's not available on DVD and I don't think you will find it on video sites. I'm a 16-year-old girl who used to adore classic shows like this one and I was upset when they took it off the air. Now I'm not feeling happy anymore.

I don't have a VCR at home so I need it on DVD or on TV. I haven't seen this show in so many years and it brings back good memories.

In the dictionary Remembrance is defined as - The act of remembering; a holding in mind, or bringing to mind; recollection.

This a petition of citizens of the United States of America, to the President of our country to submit a bill marking September 11th as InterNational Day Of Remembrance.

This is a petition in support of not only the victims lost that horrible day in 2001, but in support of the families who are mourning the loss of a life. In the years after Sept. 11th 2001 we as Americans have marked the years passed by flying flags in our yards, writing poetry, songs and so on. We now feel it is time for goverment to mark this day as a international day of remembering.

We have holidays to mark the birthday of America, we have holidays to mark the loss of those who supported freedom such as Martin Luther King, we acknowledge black history month, labor day, and various others.

We Americans feel it is time to mark our calenders with a new holiday, International Day Of Remembrance.

Maureen McLaughlin has admitted to drowning over 650 dogs, pups, cats and kittens since July of 2002. She has kept pieces of fur of each animal and labelled them so she can remember each one, like a serial killer would remember his victims.

These poor animals were put in a pet carrier and submerged into a trashcan of water. This is a most horrific death!!

Would you beat or starve your own cat or dog? Well people out there do, and some of the most likely think it's okay, mabey their parents did, maybe their best friends do it, maybe they do it for sheer entertainment.

Punishment for animal abuse should be stronger! A person who beats, or starves a human doesnt go to jail for a few years and then just be released, they are punished, so what if its not a human, most people in the US cant even find us on the world map, or know that polar bears live in the norther hemisphere, not with the penguins in the southern. If animals could talk, I bet they could know that, humans take their rights for granted, while animals are killed for sport, just trying to live, animals don't kill for joy, some people think,"well, the lions kill the baby lions sometimes" only if they arent their child/cub, lion males, in order to keep their family in charge, they have to get rid of other males cubs.

This is an issue that I cant stay quiet on, I may be this shy kid in school, but not when animals are being harmed, after all, its their world too. Remember, my hero, and idol, Jane Goodall.

Worldwide kids and young adults from third-grade to high school are pressured by the SATs. Every year we strive to remember information for simple tests.

Now the academic faciltiy board expects us to remember all of it just to get a high score on the test. Shouldn't grades be enough to determine what counts.

In the real world we are not going to have to remember who got fired at work or what rose in your garden died 10 years from when it happened. So why should all the educational fields be any different? They shouldn't! If we work together we can change the world. Academically, physically, and emotionally.

On September 11, 2001 two terrorist planes struck the World Trade Center along with one other terrorist plane that struck the pentagon. The World Trade Center collapsed, with people still inside.

In total, 2973 people were confirmed dead, and 24 remain missing as a result of the terrorist attack. Those people were ordinary people, citizens of the United States. Those people had family all around our country and even the world.

Because of the terrorist attack on 9/11, The United States remains in a war in Iraq, where al-Qaeda and the other terrorists came from. It has been almost five years, and the war goes on. An official count of 19,890 Americans have died in combat, but it has been estmated as 20,000 - 48,100.

Rosa Parks, the mother of the civil right movement should be celebrated at one of the Holidays in the USA.

Since it is a conflict of interest to have another holiday, I would like to see her name written in the calendar as unobserved holiday. But this will beat the meaning of writing to you. I would really like to see her remembered. Since there are so many holidays in a year already, I would like to see her remembered as a civil right leader.

How could this be done? I researched about it and one of the ways to do it is the model of how the President Day came about. It has come to talk about, President Abraham Lincoln, the civil right leader. He is being observed along with President George Washington and then the rest of the Presidents.

With this, it seems appropriate that Martin Luther King Jr., the third Monday in January, to be Civil Right Day. On this date, we can remember all the civil right fighters that made this country great as it is. Everyone of this country that has actively spoken and supported Freedom should be recognized on this date. Let this country stand and let it stand as a wholesome peacemaker country. Let no Freedom Fighter be left behind.

To all free people of this country, let us stand and make this happen. Let us remember Rosa Parks, and the rest of the freedom fighters.

Guys I am starting a petition. I know you get 100 spams a day but this one is started by me, John May in a request for Midland/Odessa Residents to start a petition demanding something be done with Grandecom and KMID. Here is a scoop on the situation:

As of January 1, 2006 Grandecom will not be allowed to carry KMID's (ABC) signal. KMID all of a sudden decided to demand anywhere from 1-3 cents a day for every subscriber of Grandecom for their use of KMID's signal. Remember this is a FREE signal that Grandecom does NOT charge for. Yes you can pay like 10 dollars a month for local stations but the coverage you get with Cable FAR exceeds the signal you get with an Antenna. They are not making money off KMID's services they are making money for offering you a usable signal.

Just because you use a different Cable Company does not mean you should not sign this petition. This is a petition for the right for smaller companies to compete and for local citizens of Ector and Midland County to be able to receive the same benefits that larger counties receive for free. Cox and Cableone have been trying to scare you away from smaller cable companies for years. Why? Because they are inferior? No. Because they don't want to loose profits AND by having competition they are forced to actually spend money on customer service and listen to customer complaints.

This is the same as TXU trying to scare us away from buying electricity from other companies. I've been with a smaller company since the de-regulation and haven't had any of the problems TXU promised and scared us with.

The way I see it Grandecom AND KMID are both to blame for this. KMID and Grandecom both refuse to give up greed to satisfy customers complaints.

Please sign my petition requesting KMID and Grandecom begin renegotiations and that no stoppage in coverage occurs or if it does we will be forced to have a complete boycott of all services KMID and Grandecom currently offer. Remember if you are not a Grande Com customer this still effects you. This will lead to hire rates with whoever you pay for cable. Why? Whoever stays with KMID will not be forced to pay a premium because they will have the "exclusive" right to offer you a useable signal. Please send this to everyone you know in the effected area. Ask them to forward it on to anyone they know. All responses with signatures can go to john@maylink.net. I will comprise an alphabetical list of names and forward it to the appropriate people at both KMID and Grandecom.

Remember this email is asking for your support of our local community. This is a request for KMID and Grandecom to disregard their problems and come together without excuses to offer the Permian Basin customers our local stations at a reasonable rate.

If they refuse or continue to just point fingers we will in return boycott all services provided by both companies.

WOOF ON DVD

We all remember Woof, the long running Children's TV series following the adventures of a young schoolboy who was able to transform himself into a dog. Only his best friend knew about this and had to help him protect the secret from his parents every week. What would have happened if they had found out!

Ok, so I'm sure you'll all agree the show was extremely entertaining to watch and the scrapes the boy and his friend always got into was hilarious. There were funny new ideas every week and I seem to remember they had quite a few celebrity guest appearances. They were really good quality viewing for adults as well as kids and when I was reminiscing recently, I thought wouldn't it be great if these were released on DVD so that today's children could enjoy them?

So, with that in mind I established this petition to be sent to the show's creator, David Cobham, to plead with him to release the show!

Make Bio-testing (non-invasive, using state of the art technology) of all products used in and around our bodies, plants and animals absolutely compulsory. REMEMBER, IN EVERY SINGLE CASE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION, GENETIC DAMAGE, NUCLEAR POLLUTION, CHEMICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL DAMAGE/DEFORMITY, AND "SAFETY" STANDARDS CREATED FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF THESE PROBLEMS, THERE IS ONE FACTOR COMMON TO ALL. There needs to be a new standard of BIO-SAFETY which simply means that anything that interferes with our oxygen uptake, heartrate, brainwaves, pulse and bio-meridian electric field and causes loss of capacity or downgrading of any of the above, should not be able to be sold without a rating of safety from 1 to 10, with 10 being the safest to all major body functions. The same should apply to animals, and plants, which can be tested for slowing of sap flow and lack of capillary response, just like human & animal blood flow, cortisol etc. Thermal imaging, simple medical instruments can be used to test this on an instant response basis. We DON'T need a five year, fund sucking 'scientific' study on safety to give us all the damaging exposures that have been sanctioned by these elitists, who have said 'this is totally afe', or 'this is safe enough to pass'. We all pay the price for their arrogant lack of care - why aren't their safe chemicals tested on scientist guinea pigs, diluted of course, just like our drinking water containing poisons, and ag. runoffs which are classed as safe. Remember that NUCLEAR pollution was pronounced totally safe by the American Academy of Science in the 1940's, and tobacco, and DDT, and Thalidomide, and thousands of others. We now have BSE because nobody bothered to bio-test animals for their body and systemic reaction to being fed manure mixed with chemicals and body parts of other (even diseased) species. Nature never ever sinned against any species in history, equal to the damage caused 'scientifically qualified' humans. DEMAND PROOF OF DYNAMIC BIO-SAFETY, NOT FIVE YEAR FARCES. Our planet deserves it and so do we.
