1. Replace Religious Belief with Rational Understanding 
Religious belief promotes and honors a lazy intellect. And it is by appealing to ones lazy intellect that one can be persuaded to perform the most horrendous of acts.
To get beyond the tragic events resulting from 'fanatical' religious activity as evidenced thought human history people need to begin to think. And thereby begin to understand their purpose right here on planet earth.
2. Petition to promote PLANETARY EDUCATION
Our petition for THE PLANETARY EDUCATION requests the UNITED NATIONS to oblige all member states to implement an education which will further in equal manner the development of human reason and the awakening of human consciousness on a scientific basis.
The foundation of planetary education is Einstein’s cosmic religiousness and his vision of a timeless universe. In recent decades science has come to the point where the difference between material and spiritual has all but disappeared. The fundamental energy of the Universe, out of which everything is made, is consciousness, which is the energy of the quantum vacuum.
The evolution of life on planet Earth is an universal process, developing towards consciousness. The development of human reason has reached its peak, but the next step of human evolution is the discovery of consciousness by each individual of the emerging planetary civilization. God is universe itself, and we, human beings, are part of it. The age of beliefs is history. Now, human beings are ready to know the Truth.
3. Prevent Conjugal Visits in the US prison system
Conjugal visits provide the possibility for pregnancies that are often unwanted and in some cases not only are the mothers unable but are unwilling to care for the newborn. This results in more and more single parent children and a greater burden on society’s already thinly stretched resources.
Another reason would be the fact that the reason these people are in prison now is for punishment. They already have access to free schooling, libraries, TV and other things that some of us on the outside can’t afford to have for ourselves but we have to pay for these people to have the things that we ourselves cannot afford. That is in addition to the cost of having to maintain them for food and board.
Please save the cows, they should not be eaten, at all, i mean period. They did not choose this life to be slaughtered for no apparent reason!
5. Justin Timberlake To Be Dropped From Jive
Justin Timberlake is a complete douche. He has recently often potrayed himself as the only reason why the Grammy's and Kid's Choice Awards for examples were hits because of him and having his name on the project.
He is always hating on Britney Spears even though they broke up so long ago he still bags her, sings about her and is a n00b to her. This petition is to get Justin dropped from Jive so this n00b can go away.
6. Clean Up JCP
As of December 19 we associates at JCPenney are making a plea due to inequity in task demands with direct relation to the most senior associate 0856 - referred to, heron, as Hanan.
We, additionally, are citing her inappropriate conduct, and offensive behaviors, as reason for our plea to remove or transfer her from our department.
The tasks referred to above include refusal to maintain a clean and organized stockroom, while utilizing the room, in addition to not maintaining display organization standards on the sales floor, while selling. Disorganization occurs only due to customers removal of shoes and their understandable ineptness at replacing them.
This task load is most often placed upon the other employees (ourselves), often of later shifts. The rule at JCP is for each associate to clean up after his or her own customers', replace the boxes to their specific locations in the back room, and to restore neatness to ALL displays used in the associates own shift--hence, the reason for establishing commission incentives for shoe sales!
Furthermore, Hanan has made it impossible to discuss the issues with her directly. Interpersonal behaviors demonstrated by her have been of extreme negative value to ourselves and Family Shoes at JCPenney. These negative behaviors have included rebukes, insults, use of insensitive religious references, manipulation of new and longstanding associates and their commissions. These are considered considerably egregious acts by all fair standards.
Our repeated, verbally presented, requests to management and other supervisors have gone unheard.
Imran Rashid, a 28 year old British-born Muslim from Middlesbrough has been unlawfully captured and incarcerated in a mental hospital without any reason or warning. The hospital has shown no interest in Imran’s welfare and safety and are holding him against his wish, in order to punish him in pursuit of their vendetta against him.
They show little empathy, overrule and dismiss his feelings. Imran’s life is in danger and the power to help rescue and save him is in your hands, so please help by signing this petition.
The hospital medical team are of no comfort or assistance, Imran has no trust in anyone of them and is requesting immediate removal to some where neutral and safe, both Imran and the family feel those responsible for his care and treatment are bias and discriminatory and could be danger to Imran’s life by provoking him into committing suicide. His human rights are not valued and the family has been offered little or no support. The hospital atmosphere is unwelcoming as staff give the impression they are superior, authoritarian and powerful. The family is very concerned about the threats made by the hospital that “Imran will never be released”.
This case is well known by all agencies and black professionals, who instead of helping, are simply passing it on to other agencies, wrongly assuming that it does not concern them or their professional remits. The family feel helpless and powerless in the face of institutional conspiracy and bias by the NHS Mental Health Trust which has little or no knowledge and understanding of mental health needs of Ethnic Minority and Muslim patients. Even the government is aware of the failure and inadequate treatment and service provisions for BME Communities in England (04 October 2006 Black & Minority Mental Health report).
Please Help! Can you imagine what you would feel and do if your loved one was locked-up in a mental institution, without any reason, or any independent support & representation – What would you do if your plea for help fell on deaf ears whilst the world just stood by watching your pain & suffering? 8. Moderation of Matt the Moderator
For the past month Matt has done a great job in Brischat contributing to clean up the community and introduce a healthy chat environment. However there have been several kickings in which decent and actively positive members of the Brischat community, have confronted Matt in a civil and respectful manner about why people have been kicked, and inturn kicked themselves without warning or reason.
There have also been times people have been booted just because of Matt’s pure annoyance. Matt has also used sarcasm on many an occasion which in turn alienates the positive members of the Brischat community, and turns them away from coming back. The point of this cleanup is to introduce a positive chat environment and clear up the mess so people can enjoy themselves.
This is a community chatroom, and matt does have a certain level of responsibility as a moderator to respect the wishes and good of the general community. Treat unto those as how you wish to be treated. Sign this petition if you have been booted for the above reasons, including Alias, Reason, or what you witnessed.

Dear Chief Louis Cavallo,
As a concerned resident of North Lauderdale, I am writing about the problem of racial profiling. Some officers stop motorists based solely on their race or ethnicity, thus violating their civil rights. I urge you to take action now to address this problem in our community by deciding to have your force voluntarily collect racial data at all stops of citizens.
Recently, I have been stopped by one of your officers, in fact on numerous occasions for no apparent reason. Maybe because I am an African American college student that drives a 2004 black Honda or maybe I look and fit the description of a young African American female that sells drugs in the community. Whatever the reason may be I do not appreciate being interrogated by your officers at not probable cause.
The most recent experienced happened on October 25, 2006. I was parked at my friends house, ready to exit my car, while office Perez blocked my car and began to ask me questions that were so inappropriate and uncalled for. He told me he could take me to jail for not wearing my glasses, mind you I was parked and getting ready to exit my car, when I saw him approach my window. He later asked me if the vehicle I was driving belonged to me and made smart remarks to my friend as she was getting in my car.
I find all this to be out of line. This is not the first time I had to go through this with one of your undercover officers. Their conduct is not appropriate and definitely it is not professional. I am asking that you take this matter seriously and speak to the officers in your department because the next step in this matter will be a civil law suit. I will also be forwarding this letter to the NAACP, Internal Affairs, The Police Complaint Center and the local news department. I also have a petition in progress.

10. Request to build and open Middle School at Slaughter and 1826 by Aug 2008
Parents who are petitioning to have the new middle school slated to be built on the corner of Slaughter Lane and 1826 put on the drawing board to be completed and opened for the 2008 school year.
There is no reason to delay this project, as the land is already designated and approved, the bond is approved and the number of students would already fill the school to near or at capacity.

1. Remove all Federal Gas Tax - This would remove a lot of congressional spending waste and "pork-barrel". This tax was initiated to create our federal interstates in 1932! And is no longer needed yet Congress continues to take the tax and spend the money generated on everything except building interstates. We feel this would begin to ease the burden on the consumer.
The Federal Tax on gas is currently 18.4 cents per gallon which adds approx. $3.50 per tank of gas.

2. Allow ANWAR and Other Areas to be drilled for Oil - Currently we have more Oil available for drilling than the Middle East Countries combined however, a minority group of environmentalists have been able to scare the U.S. Government and take the U.S. Public hostage by not allowing us to utilize our own natural resources. Because of this policy we have become hostage to Radical Religious Fanatics and dependant on Countries which wish our destruction (remember 9/11).
Currently the Chinese, among others are drilling for oil just a few miles off the coast of Florida however, the U.S. is forbidden to drill there because of the Far Left Wing Environmentalists! We are loosing our resources to other countries because of our unbelievable policies which, it's sad to say, even other countries find incomprehensible.
Even Fidel Castro says he may start drilling there and we can't! That means that a Chinese company is or will be drilling for oil and gas within 50 miles of the U.S. coast even though under U.S. policy American energy companies are barred from drilling along most areas of the U.S. coast.
The Saudi crown prince was quoted a while back stating that they "would never use oil as a weapon". Just stating that alone, should be warning enough that we cannot afford to wait, we need to take action NOW! Nobody knows for certain how much oil there is in ANWAR, except that most in the know believe there is a lot. It will take about two years to get the first quart of crude flowing south. We need to start drilling right now, in the hope that we will have it when we need it.
It seems pretty unreasonable not to have the ability to utilize our own resource here, especially in view of the true environmental cost which really is zero. The reality is that only 2000 - of 6 million acres - (one half of one percent) of the wildlife refuge would be impacted, and as seen with the pictures of wildlife all around the existing pipeline the facts show the wildlife is not effected.

3. Remove Oil from the Commodities Market - Oil like Electricity is a NEED, not a luxury. Every U.S, Citizen needs gas to drive and heating oil to survive the winter exactly like Electricity, yet you do not see the price of Electricity being manipulated in the stock market like Oil is! One other point: Oil Speculation hurts the U.S. however, it hurts even the more the poorer nations of the world and should be stopped if for no other reason than that.

13. Lower the Drinking Age In America

Should the drinking age should be lowered in the United States of America?
I am not against the drinking age so that teens everywhere can drink constantly at age 18 but I do believe there is something seriously wrong with setting such a high drinking age in the USA, much higher than other countries.
In america we deserve something more than that. Today, unlike 25 years ago, many more rules and regulations are in effect against drunk driving and public drunkeness to protect everyone against the same thing that Mothers Against Drunk driving created the minimum drinking age act for.
I'm sure it wouldn't have the catastrophic effect that MADD portrays will happen if we let the drinking age stand at 18 or 19 years of age.
I am currently 17 years old and i know many many underaged kids that currently get into car accidents, die or are severely injured by teen drunk driving because the age is sooo high they binge drink, and try to drink their lives away just because they cant. It's caused numerous accidents and fatalities.
America needs a drinking age of 18 or 19 because there is no reason to wait until 21. The logic that madd gives is unreasonable.
Please if you feel strongly about this issue the same way I do then sign the petition.

This petition is for us skateboarders who don't have a place to skate. If you live in the Hamilton meadows then you have nowhere to skate.
I have been taken home by the cops for skating in the streets when i was doing nothing wrong and recently 9 of my friends got tickets for skating in the streets. The cops told us to go skate at the local schools so we started skating at the schools and the schools got upset for no reason.
We werent destroying any property or breaking any laws and they banned us from skateboarding on school property one of my friends got a dayy of iss for getting caught skating on school property when it was asfter hours and school was out.
The reason you need to sign this is because this is not only happening in Ohio this is happening allover the U.S. and I think that since the authority dont want us to skate in the streets that they should provide us with a local place to skate as they should with all areas that dont have skate parks.
There are over 12 million skateboarders world wide who actively participate in skateboarding. We want to skate.
15. Removal of No Parking Signs on Woodhaven
January 26, 2006
This petition is here to remove the no parking signs on Woodhaven Circle.
The reason for this petition is in response to the amount of parking currently available. There is hardly a sufficient amount of parking spaces for the number of tenants that reside in the Jacob Heights Townhouse Development. This parking issue causes a number of problems for the tenants that live in the Jacob Heights Townhouses along with residents of Mankato that don't live there.
The first problem created from these no parking signs is resident parking. The problem arises due to the fact that there are four tenants living in each unit in Jacob Heights. There is no possible parking configuration utilizing the garage and driveway that will allow any single tenant to leave at anytime. This is the first reason why parking on Woodhaven is requested. A lot of the residents living here are college students.
Everyone has busy class and work schedules and being blocked in your driveway by a roommate not home is not a valid excuse for a professor or employer. The second major problem created from the no parking signs on Woodhaven is in regards to visitors and guests. If all tenants are home there are no available parking spots nearby for guests. This makes is very difficult to meet with friends, family, coworkers, and classmates in the Jacob Heights Development.
There are currently 42 units in the Jacob Heights Townhouse Development. There is also an additional 24 units under construction. This means that the current problem is only going to get worse unless the city of Mankato does something about it. Enclosed is a list of Mankato residents who all agree with the complaints stated above. The residents of Mankato demand action. There are obviously plenty of solutions to the current dilemma.
If authorized parking signs are required for the public street of Woodhaven Circle then possibly permit only signs could replace the no parking signs. Another solution is to build another public parking lot across from the Jacob Heights Townhouses.
EXcentrique, or Yara, is currently a moderator at ImNotOkay, or INO. It is an MCR fansite which is home to a lot of very humorous, great people.
We the people have decided that Yara is too harsh on the boards. Not only is she very harsh, but she has been acting very cruel to other members. This girl is also a hypocrite. She said there should be a rule against "attacking other members" when she herself has done this before.
She also locks fanfiction threads, which are NOT supposed to be locked unless there is a reasonable reason. A bit of spam in a story thread is NOT a reasonable reason.
We are not trying to ban her, but simply demote her to a regular INO civilian, as we feel that she does not qualify to be a moderator.

BERLIN, Sept 10 (Reuters) - A German air force plane loaded with 15 tonnes worth of ready-to-eat meals earmarked for flood victims in New Orleans was refused entry into the United States last week, a government spokesman said on Saturday.
Confirming a report in Der Spiegel news magazine, the spokesman said the Luftwaffe Airbus was loaded with 9,000 military "eimannpackung" ("one-man packages") but was grounded in Germany because it did not get U.S. flight clearance.
The spokesman said he did not know the reason for the decision by U.S. authorities. He said the refusal to allow German aid had since been lifted.
Der Spiegel news magazine reported that U.S. authorities had blocked the import of German military rations that contained hamburgers, goulash, sausages, pasta and jam due to fears of mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
The magazine reported that relief flights from Britain and Russia were also denied entry for the same reason.
I created this petition because I think the "War On Terrorism" is wrong.
We have no right to be over there right now killing innocent people for no reason.
19. Trashcan Ejection in Nautilus

We're convinced that these points are not valid, because instead of displaying an error dialog, the obvious intention of the user could have succeeded in the first place.
We're asking him to include this feature into Nautilus, since every other mean of communication (bugzilla, mailing list) failed.
20. DEMONSTRATION AGAINST CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IN ERITREA
We, the concerned Eritreans who live in the United States of America are holding a rally against Christian persecution in Eritrea. Christian Eritreans are being harassed, persecuted and detained for the only reason of their belief in Jesus Christ.
We believe that freedom of religion is one of the basic rights of any human being. The Eritrean government is not only violating international human rights declaration that the country is party to but also the provisions of article 19 of its unimplemented Constitution.
21. 16th Avenue Noise Attenuation Wall
The primary purpose of the proposed wall at the 16th Avenue interface with the Rosedale community is to provide necessary noise attenuation for the residents who live beside the street, the 6-lane east-west trucking route through Calgary.
It should perform to this standard. Any break in the continuity of the wall is a weak point for noise attenuation.
The City of Calgary tender drawings for the Rosedale interface, on view at the City construction office at 1635 7th St NW, show the wall with breaks, about 15 - 20 ft long, at the end of every street block where there is a remnant lot in the community. The lot is to be redeveloped with an infill house and an alley link. The infill house is intended to function as the continuation of the noise attenuation, across the alley from the break in the wall.
The reason given by the City and its representatives, for providing these breaks, is that it will relieve the visual monotony of a continuous wall. This reason is doubtful given that wall is being designed with such a high level of detail and variation, and with extensive landscaping on the 16th Avenue side.
-The breaks are a weak point in the wall that will allow traffic noise to bleed into the neighbourhood.
-The breaks are a safety hazard. There will be no real barrier to absorb a vehicle from veering off of 16th avenue into the neighbourhood.
-The breaks create confusion on a pedestrian scale. Pedestrians will walk down alleys rather than neighbourhood streets.
22. Gangs should be controlled
I know that not all gangs are bad - quite the opposite, I'm in one, but recently I was on my own in a newsagent when 2 girls and a boy walked in. I paid no attention and carried on buying my magazine. One of the girls shoved past me, knocking me off balance, and the other two laughed. I stared at them as they walked out, and the girl who pushed me turned and said "Is there a reason why you're lookin' at me? Is there a reason why you're fukin lookin' at me?" She carried on shouting, saying i needed a good slap etc., and eventually they left.
I was extremely shook up, as anything could have happened. They left me very scared with a huge bruise on my shoulder. At any other time I could have been attacked. The only reason I wasn't was coz I was in a shop. Please help, should street gangs be controlled?

24. Stop Sign Addition To Glenwood Rd.
We, the homeowners residing on 1200 block of Elm Avenue in City of Glendale, California are strongly urging the city authorities to consider adding a stop signs on the Glenwood Rd and Elm Avenue intersection. Currently there is only one set of stop signs for Elm Avenue. Glenwood Rd. lacks one.
Every day the residents, and especially others not familiar with this intersection, face a difficult and hazardous situation.
The view from Elm Avenue to the cross traffic on Glenwood Rd. is obstracted.
The 85% of the time parked vehicles on Glenwood Rd. are too close to to the curve of the curb. For some reason, the parking has been allowed almost to the edge of the curve.
The undersigned would attest to the fact that in order to see the cross traffic one has to pass the rear of the parked vehicles, and by this time one is almost into the Glenwood Rd. Something needs to be done as soon as possible before something tragic happens at this crossing. Crossing this street is almost like a 'catch up' game. This has been proven to be very hazardous based on our experience, and numerouse accidents we've witnessed.

In the 900 Block of Newport, between Monmuth Street and Saratoga Street residents are having constant trouble finding parking places in front of their homes due to new and existing businesses. I and other residents have had police called to mark our vehicles to be marked for parking in front of these businesses multiple times. The reason for parking in front of businesses is their customers take up our parking and it leaves us with grabbing any spot we can find.
We are petitioning for residential parking for that reason. In need of signs that are for residents only and parking passes for residents and visitors of residents.

Allow me to introduce myself. My neopets screen name is archinae. I used to be 3mousekeeper, but that account was frozen. For practically no reason.
In mid- July of 2003, I had been going to General Chat for over a month, and was considered a "reg" by most of the other GCers. For once, I was respected. People actually liked me for being a weird person. See, I didn't get much respect in real life. In fact, a large margin of the people I knew seemed to hate me- but that's beyond the point I'm trying to get across. One day, I posted a message board as follows:

It was nothing but a childish joke, but it got me frozen. I wanted to make people laugh; you guys threw my account in the trash. This is the pure, honest truth. I never said any cursewords, I never got any warnings, and I was frozen all for a stupid little joke.
So, I've come to this conclusion. You, the Neopets Team, obviously hate GCers. It seems like you were waiting for me to post something stupid, to give you a reason to freeze me, all because I have some friends on a message board who I can relate to. You might be able to disprove this theory of mine by unfreezing my 3mousekeeper account, or at least transferring my neopoints, items, and the lab ray to my archinae account.
