2. Mel Greig and Michael Christian should be allowed on Air

2 Day FM Jocks Mel Greig and Michael Christian thought they hit the jackpot when a Prank call got through to the hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated and they spoke with Nurse Jacintha Saldanha, 46, a mother of two, pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles.

However while the pair believed they managed something outstanding, Jacintha was found unconscious at a nurses' accommodation block near London's exclusive King Edward VII Hospital at 9:35 am (local time) on Friday. She unfortunately was unable to be revived.

We are still awaiting the release of the cause of her death, however, speculation is rife after the Prank, she was so humiliated she may have taken her own life.

I won't put the blame on the radio duo though, they were stupidly making a Prank Call and in their eyes got lucky, I am sure their followers were all laughing at the time. However, the humour of Prank Calls by Radio Hosts must be questioned as well as as the way it can affect some ones life is horrendous. It is in my view 2DAY FM Management that needs to be called to account as their Shock Jock have a poor reputation for making decisions and have made grossly bad decisions as to what they would do.

I am sure Nurse Jacintha Saldanha had other issues at the time but this poor nurse who must have felt humiliated beyond belief in the UK, realised how ridiculous the call was and how naive she was to believe such a , this is most probably the catalyst for her death be it by accident or other means.

However, as Chairman of beyondblue, Jeff Kennett said, there was nothing wrong with Mel Grieg and Michael Christian's 2DayFM prank and the radio hosts should be given support. Lifeline: 13 11 14.

3. Abolish the Electoral College

We need to ABLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE! Not because Barack Obama won, but because it has happened 4 other times.

The Electoral College was good back in the day before there was television, radio and social media. People, then, elected others who were more informed to vote for them. This is now out-of-date because of technological advances making almost anyone more informed. This will force canidates to get in front of more rural communities than favoring more urban areas. Everyone else is voted in because of the popular vote; Why not the President!? This makes eveyone's voice count instead of them feeling like it doesn't!

JOIN ME IN SIGNING THIS PETITION TO ABOLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE!

4. Bring back Hut 33

Hut 33 is a BBC Radio 4 sitcom set at Bletchley Park in 1941. It is written by James Cary and produced by Adam Bromley.

The cast includes Tom Goodman-Hill as Geordie Marxist Archie, Robert Bathurst as ultra-conservative snob Charles, Fergus Craig as 17-year-old maths prodigy Gordon, Alex MacQueen as incompetent commanding officer, Joshua Fanshawe-Marshall, Olivia Colman as Polish psychopath Minka and Lill Roughley as Mrs Best, their sex-obsessed landlady.

5. Stop Interrupting Regular Programs to Broadcast Cricket

ABC Local Radio has a community of listeners spanning the whole of Australia. The transmission of the 'Overnights' program, hosted by Trevor Chappell and Rod Quinn and also the 'Nightlife' program, hosted by Tony Delroy, are often interrupted by sporting events, such as cricket, with regular listeners being forced to listen to regular shows online or on digital radio. This is not possible for many people and is inconvenient.

Please make a separate channel for sport, or have the minority who want to listen to sport, listen online or via digital radio, and leave the majority of regular listeners to their normal programming.

7. Don’t play pop music or radio in public places

Please don’t not play pop music or radio in public places, like swimming pools. Classical music is more neutral, so play classical instead. However, choice of music should remain a personal matter.

We should remain respectful of our personal space and we should not impose our choice of music on others.

I would attend Hastings’s swimming pool more often if it didn’t play radio or pop on its stereo system.

8. Bring Metal Back to Rochester

The Rochester, New York music scene is rich with rock roots. Listening to all the "new" rock music is just stale. Bring back metal and hard rock to the airwaves, much like The Nerve had done.

Anyone who wants to bring life back to the radio, sign this petition to be sent to FQMB, the leader in Rochester's radio management.

9. Spune NU ACTA

10. WJJG is For Smart Shows Only

Not only did 2011 see the sudden death of Joe Gentile, but the removal of intelligent programming and music from weekdays (and even parts of the weekend).

It is totally unfair to get rid of Angry White Male, Job Talk, John DiVita's Morning Show, and other programming that made WJJG an amazing radio station.

Mancow should not be on at all. He is incoherent and his show does not belong on a community radio station like WJJG. Michael Savage should be aired in two hours or removed too, and sent back to WIND.

If you believe that WJJG should continue with original programming and music during weekdays, please sign this petition. This is an outrage and we need to keep whatever we have left of special radio stations like WJJG.

11. Orlando Magic Spanish Radio Commentator

For close to a decade the Orlando Magic basketball team has had a Spanish radio game "color commentator" working with play-by-play announcer Joey Colon.

To our (the Hispanic fans and listeners) surprise and for no apparent reason this year the Spanish radio game "color commentator" position was eliminated. The position of "color commentator" has been filled by ex-NBA player Ramon Rivas for the last seven years.

This change only affected the Spanish radio games, as the English radio announcer Dennis Neumann and game "color commentator" Rich Adubato continue to work the games.

This action of the Orlando Magic Management is unfair and disrespectful towards us, Central Florida's Hispanic community and loyal fans of the Orlando Magic.

12. Support Jewish Radio Programming

SBS plans to discontinue Yiddish and Hebrew programming during the summer. This is part of cuts across the board, including 15 other language programmes run through SBS.

The Jewish radio has long been a central component of Jewish civil society, representing a link between Jewish communities dispersed throughout the world, their mother-language and their cultural identity.

13. Get The Dixie Chicks Back on Radio

During a London concert ten days before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, lead vocalist Maines said "we don't want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States (George W. Bush) is from Texas".

The statement offended many Americans, who thought it rude and unpatriotic, and the ensuing controversy cost the band half of their concert audience attendance in the United States.

The incident negatively affected their career and led to accusations of the three women being "un-American", as well as hate mail, death threats, and the public destruction of their albums in protest.

19. Increase signal strength to ABC's Triple J 89.5FM on the Sunshine Coast

I Daniel Ciseau along with many others, whom listen to and enjoy the ABC's Triple J radio station on 89.5 Fm feel the signal strength of the station is too "weak" in certain Sunshine Coast Areas. Some of these areas include Mooloolaba, Buderim, and hinterland.

I listen to this station at minimum of 20 hrs a week whilst driving, working and socialising. I do not enjoy whilst driving through certain areas or entering shops and my workplace to be losing reception, whilst other radio stations in the same area continue to have excellent reception all of the time.

I do not enjoy these "other" stations for reasons I find irrelevant to disclose, but would rather state that like all other fans of Triple J I love new music and want to continue listening uninterrupted 24/7 with great signal strength.

20. Bring back Mike Parry !

Talk Sport radio station today parted company with presenter Mike Parry !

In 1999, Parry joined Talk Radio (later known as talkSPORT). Parry originally co-presented the Sports Breakfast with Alan Brazil, but after the onset of health problems, he was replaced by Graham Beecroft and subsequently Ronnie Irani. Parry supports Everton Football Club.

In 2003, Parry suffered heart failure and was treated at Harefield Hospital. In 2004, Parry was diagnosed with advanced dilated cardiomyopathy and placed on the transplant list. At a routine check up in January 2005, Parry's consultant stated there was a "marked improvement" but told Parry that although his condition might be stable, his heart wouldn't improve. In April 2005, due to a combination of drug treatment and Parry's improvements in digestion and exercise, resulting in a loss of 4 stone in six months, Parry was removed from the transplant list. Parry completed the Great North Run, raising £9,000 pounds for Harefield Hospital in September 2007.

Due to the improvement in his health, Parry returned to co-host the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on Monday and Friday mornings, and sometimes stood in for Ronnie Irani if he was unavailable. Changes in talksport's schedule for 2009 meant that Parry used to present the 10 am–1 pm slot with Andy Townsend on Mondays to Fridays. Up until February 2011 he co-hosted With Mike Graham on the Monday-Friday 10 am–1 pm slot. Mike Parry and Mike Grahams 10-1pm daily show has now been scrapped and has been replaced with a new show hosted by Richard Keys and Andy Gray from 14th February 2011.

25. A request to Uniden America

With this petition, we wish to show Uniden America that there is not only a huge amount of supporters and followers of their products here in Australia & New Zealand, but also just how much of a market they do have in these places, even though compared to the US we may seem only small, we however believe there is still a substantial market here for them and we would ask that they consider the release of their product range in this area of the world.

The last Australian version of their trunking scanner released in Australia was the 396T / 996T, however these have both been superseded by newer and better models, not to mention that these older models have now been pulled from most Australian retailers shelves which leaves a huge gap in the trunking scanner market here.

Uniden is a very well respected brand with radio scanner listeners the world over, not in the least down in the Oceania region, most scanner users here have owned at least one or two Uniden scanners at some time during their involvement in the hobby, some may own up to four or five, if this is not a captive audience, then no such thing exists.

26. Maryland Petition to Save Hispanic Programming on WDCN-LP 87.7 FM

This petition represents a united effort to preserve the localized and diverse audio programming services provided free of charge to the Hispanic D.C. metropolitan public by the station WDCN-LP, known affectionately over the air as “La Nueva 87.7," and simulcasted on WDCO-LP to Maryland's Eastern Shore.

There are nearly 900,000 Hispanics in the D.C. metro area, and over *300,000 of these reside in Maryland. Thousands of these residents are tuning into WDCN-LP programming every day. When simulcasting begins on WDCO-LP, many more thousands will be listening on the Eastern Shore. With the growth of the Spanish-speaking population across the US, and especially in the metro markets like D.C., businesses and business opportunities are growing even in a recessionary market, for those ready to serve this minority community.

This minority voice in Maryland, Virginia and the District exists because at the same time that full power TV stations were required to convert to digital last summer, low power stations (LPTVs) in the thousands have been allowed to continue broadcasting in analog. This provided a unique opportunity for the over 150 Channel 6 LPTVs across the nation to maximize public service. Since the channel 6 audio signal is received at 87.7 on most FM radios, millions of listeners can be served instead of the fractional viewing audience that might be interested in solely “rabbit ears” television programming. Local, religious, and minority populations have been enjoying new representation on the airwaves.

Regrettably, the Federal Communications Commission’s September 17, 2010 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking calls for a mandatory shutoff date for LPTV analog transmissions in 2012. This would permanently silence the local minority voice of WDCN-LP in Maryland, Virginia and the District.

27. Get Dean Blundell Off The Air

29. Let's get more British Chinese/East Asians on TV, film, theatre & radio

The first recorded Chinese in the UK, Shen Fu Tsong, was a celebrated guest at the court of James II in 1685. The British Chinese/East Asian (BC/EA) community grew during the 20th century & at 1.6% is now the UK's 3rd largest minority.

Art is a mirror to life & everyone needs cultural affirmation. BC/EA people are not reflected adequately in mainstream TV, film, theatre or radio, so remain "culturally invisible". This impacts negatively on the British public, who end up with stereotyped misunderstandings of this particular cultural group, eg. always speak with foreign accents or are illegal immigrants selling dodgy dvd's!

BC/EA children & young people top every academic poll due to the importance of education in Confucian culture. However, they need positive BC/EA role models to value both sides of their cultural heritage, so they can better assimilate into British culture. Without BC/EA role models, they can sometimes feel culturally isolated, confused and undervalued. What a waste of human potential!

Why are the Welsh proud of learning 2 languages and have their own Welsh language TV/radio stations? Because that positively promotes their bicultural heritage. Why does rugby star Thomas, tennis star Navratilova or actor McKellen coming out gay have a positive effect for LGBT young people? Because cultural affirmation helps people feel they belong to society.

It's unacceptable that the vital, hard-working BC/EA community contributes taxes & 1.6% towards the total licence fee, subsidising everyone else's cultural needs, while commissioners, producers, directors, writers, casting depts etc, ignore BC/EA history & their long presence in the UK.

In the age of Obama, it's time for the UK to accelerate it's professed commitment to internationalism and diversity. It's time for positive change.
