Our One-Act-Play team worked for a month preparing to represent our school in the One-Act-Play Festival and we won superior. Now we want Mr. Keever to let us preform it for our classmates.
Pamela Carter has been with Santa Susana High School since 2000. Many of us know her as a vice principal but since December of 2004 she has served as principal. Ms. Carter has always been willing to work with others.
Her “open door” policy has been in place for years and is a way to communicate with the students on an even level and not as an authoritarian. Long hours, fighting to keep school more “interesting” for students, and the proven increase in the state academic performance index shows how dedicated Pamela Carter is to Santa Susana High School and the people she works with.
As Ms. Carter said to the Acorn back in December of 2004, “This school works as a team with shared leadership. The students and staff choose to be here which make it different form other places were people have to attend. They are wonderful people to be around.”
We have learned that Ms. Carter has been possibly reassigned from her principal position. Instead of taking away a key figure in making things happen at Santa Susana High School, why not create a meeting where teachers, students, parents, and Ms. Carter can voice their concerns about the academic side and what they can do as a whole to make it better.
My friend was 18 years old when he signed his first of two 14.95% interest student loan with Sallie Mae. He had never worked a full-time job in his life prior to his signature with Sallie Mae and at best could be described as a naive and optimistic college student. Sallie Mae could be described as giving a sub-prime loan to a student with no credit history. His principal balance after college came to $17,000.
So far he has paid Sallie Mae around $5,000. However, he owes $20,000 now as $3,000 more has accrued on his principal. Can someone tell me what is wrong with this scenario?
There are more people like him who have even higher balances on their loans. Student loans with Sallie Mae have become a type of indentured servitude. It is a trap! Where our young people should be working jobs they enjoy and saving money for a house, or to start a family, they are forced to pay back this greedy student loan lender.
Recently my 8 year old daughter who was supposed to stay in an afterschool childcare program, was accidentally put on the school bus to ride home. Upon arriving home to an empty house, her bus driver let her off of the bus and left her untill 5:30 in the afternoon. The transportation department claims that they are only responcible for preschoolers and kindtergardeners. I as a parent am outraged at the fact that is is ok for our school system who are responcible for our children, to just be allowed to drop elementary aged school children off regaurdless of age or supervision.

We, the faculty of Battle Mountain High School understand that our principal John Leone has submitted his letter of resignation.
Our principal of Kennard school started 2 yrs. ago. She has brought up our task scores in a school which was previously failing. She promotes principal student relations and has provided scholarship funding for kids and increased field trip activities. She is up for her 2 yr. contract and is being out voted.
Please help us she has made our school fun and a great learning expirience. I have a 9 yr. old and a 12 yr. old nephew who are both in the Duke scholarship program because of our principal.
PLEASE we ask you again to help save her.
To change a principal is a very disturbing thing to have to go through, both for the staff as well as for the students and parents, yet JFK would have to do so twice within less than a one year time frame.

We the parents and residents of Spring Lake and Shaw Road sStudents are requesting the removal of Pine Forest Senior High School Principal, Mark Culbreth due to prejudiced remarks and comments made against the Spring Lake and Shaw Road students.
Mark Culbreth states that these are the students responsible for his low test scores and the students responsible for bringing elements of gang activity into his school.
Numerous Faculty at Carolina Forest High School have either resigned or transfered to other schools for many reasons but one root cause.
Now, Guidance Counselor Margie Gordyk has been suspended by the Principal, and we ask that the state investigate this and the way faculty are managed.
To Washoe County School District - Board of Education: The following individuals are requesting that you name the next school for an individual who has spent more that 35 years of service to this school district, Dr. Jesse Hall.
Dr. Hall was a teacher, principal and currently a site coordinator for the after school program in the Washoe County School District.
This petition is to support the naming of a school in honor of a long time educator, Jesse Hall, in the Washoe County School District.
As a resident in Southern California, sandles have been a part of every day life since I was a young child and now they are trying to take that away. Sandles are a convenient way for comfortablity and style. They allow our feet to "breathe" and in several other ways keep us comfortable. But, now because of our schools new renovations, our administration feels the need to take away that comfortability for safety.
Safety is a big issue in society today and from our prinicipals point of view, she wants to make her students as safe as they can be, this is understandable. However, if she wants us to be safe, cut down the fighting or lock our campus up, but do not take away the students personal expression and comfortability. It is understood that with the construction taking place on our campus, sandles may be a safety hazard. But, we are not walking around over open trenches or boxes of nails, all the dangerous places are blocked off by fences or caution tape. Another problem the principal sees with sandles are the opened toes, causing toes to be stepped on or stubbed. But, people see these problems before they leave the house wearing sandles, they know of the risks they are taking.
Football players are constantly breaking bones, spraining ankles, or physically injuring theirselves in other ways but, do we see the principal taking away their ability to tackle and play the sport they love? No, we do not, so why should the students of Kennedy High school have to stop wearing the shoes they feel comfortable in, due to a few minor injuries? We allow athletes to play the sports they play with the knowledge that they may be hurt, but we do not allow students to wear sandles because of a safety issue, it is very hypocritical.
The fact of the matter is that we as people are going to get hurt no matter what way or where, it is going to happen, its just a factor of life. But, do we see kids walking around with helmets and safety pads everywhere they go? No, because we cannot constantly be afraid of being injured or unsafe, we have to live life and roll with the punches.
The Valley Incorporated at Louis D.Brandeis is a community based organization that has been servicing youth for over twenty three years. This year the Principal decided to eliminate those CBO's that were currently providing youth cultural, educational, social and community service programs that were goal oriented and enabled them to develop their social and analytical skills. She has in turn decided to bring in her NYU. They will be providing tutorial classes for the students.
Approximately 92% of the faculty and staff of Schertz Elementary agree that Dr. Jose Ramos should not be reassigned to another campus. Dr. Jose Ramos is the driving force of success at Schertz Elementary.
Employees, community members, and students hereby petition the Superintendent, Belinda Pustka and the Board Members of SCUCISD to take this petition and the feelings of the MAJORITY into account.
Would like to have the current principal fired because she is not active with or involved with the students and replace her with a proactive principal.
For decades JHS 50 had an Art Program. It has been an important part that strengthens learning across the curriculum. The new arrived principal is threatening to cancel the program disregarding the importance of the Arts in the student's education.
We believe that Art matters, not only as worthwhile experience in its own right, but also as an instrument of cognitive growth and development and as an agent of motivation for school success. We are working against the decision to eliminate the Visual Arts program at John D. Wells JHS 50 at Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
Recently Asst. Principal has become a party to a federal lawsuit involving allegations of child molestation. He has also in the past been accused by students of inappropriate behavior during his tenure at MBHS as Assistant Principal. If you believe that he needs to be removed from his job please sign this petition.
Recent Knowledge about Mrs. Gonzalez (P-K Grade Teacher) having to leave Alicia Ruiz School has prompted parents to start a petition to keep her here. We need all signatures to show Mr.Garza that Keeping Mrs. Gonzalez here is not only important to us but beneficial to the School and the students. As parents we emplore and expect our voices to be heard and considered. This affects our childrens' future. As they will have to cope with having to readapt if moved to another teacher/classroom.
I believe that the students of Abbotsford Senior Secondary School deserve a competant, open minded school principal in place of the current one (Mr. Roger). The following are examples of Mr. Roger's closed mind:
- Suspending male students for wearing black makeup (after years of allowing females to do the same thing)
- Degrading comments on the visiting Beijing students.
Please, support the students of Abbotsford Senior, and help them get a competant principal, willing to take action on important points, take part in school pep rallys, who will listen to the students and most of all, leave his/her office every so often intstead of sitting around all day!
This petion is to let the board of education know that the parents are tired of them putting prinipals over our children and they are not doing what they are supposed to when they get there. We think that judy knox carter will be the best person for dodge, she has proven that she can manage and that she will work as hard as possible to get dodgeschool off probation.
My performance has been adversely affected due building work noise whilst sitting external examination in May/June 2001 inside the sports hall. I wish the Principal to write to all exam boards concerned highlighting the building work as a possible contributory factor to reduced performance. I also insist all building work be suspended while exams are in progress in the Sports Hall.
