PRINCE William has reportedly bought a special birthday gift for his younger brother Harry - hundreds of birds for the pair to shoot on a future hunt.

However, Harry, who turned 27 this week, is planning a weekend of partying in London to celebrate, British newspaper The Sun reports, meaning the royal duo will most likely postpone their shoot to a later date.

William is said to have ordered 250 pheasant, duck and partridge at a cost of some £10,000 ($15,252), to be delivered to the Queen's Sandringham Estate.

"Harry is an exceptional marksman and both brothers love to shoot. William organised this as something they can share," a pal told The Sun.

In the centre of Hazlemere in Buckinghamshire lies a wonderful open space called “Queensway”, a field of around 18 acres surrounded by trees that provide a haven for birds & wildlife.

It could be a wonderful, natural, open, green space for the 10,000 people of Hazlemere for generations to come and it already has links with Royalty – to Queen Victoria, no less - hence it's name Queensway! The existing Open Space has been used by walkers, children, picnickers and dog walkers for decades, providing a wonderful natural amenity in the built up area close to Hazlemere crossroads and it is much valued by the people of Hazlemere.

However this large Open Space COULD be converted into something else far less welcome and much less valued by the community, having already been the proposed site for failed schemes by Wycombe District Council as a Park-and-Ride site, a floodlit Running Track and the site for over 200 allotments - with a large car park and all the infrastructure a development of such a size would require.

Next year is our Queen's Diamond Jubilee and that wonderful celebration provides a 'diamond opportunity' to remove this threat to Queensway, whilst at the same time doing something worthwhile, lasting and meaningful with Queensway Open Space for the environment and for the community of Hazlemere for generations to come!

Sponsored by a local Hazlemere resident, a plan has been put forward to use Queensway for a newly created "Tranquil Park". The plan calls for Wycombe District Council to keep the Open Space including the majority of the existing grassland as it is, but to include some gravel paths, the planting of more trees/bushes, and incorporating some seats/benches and possibly picnic tables. As this open space land is already called "Queensway" and as this plan to turn it into protected land for the benefit of the whole community is in line with Prince William's call for the creation of 2012 such protected community fields to mark his Grandmother, our Queen’s, 60 years on the throne. As part of this plan, Their Royal Highness’ Prince William and Princes Kate have been invited to visit Hazlemere and open the newly created “Queensway Tranquil Park” sometime during 2012. This would probably be the most exciting and important event in the history of Hazlemere and High Wycombe, really putting Hazlemere on the map!

To stand any chance of making this dream a reality we need overwhelmingly demonstrate to Wycombe District Council (who own Queensway) that YOU would like "Queensway - Tranquil Park" to be created and that you would like Prince William & Princess Kate to be invited to Hazlemere to open it. We need as many people as possible to sign this petition IN FAVOUR of making these plans a reality. The last indoor park in our area; Vans Skatepark. Although corporate, and very annoying at times still brought everyone together to ride, hang out, exercise and have fun.

Since its removal many of the riders and skaters have gone their own ways into other things, some illegal and have quit this wonderful hobby they used to have.

If we had a new park some of those kids can come back to it, and new ones can join in.
