Petition Tag - port gawler off road hire park

In 2006 Port Gawler Offroad Hire Park was forced to close it's gates because they were denied public liability insurance for the facility.

This facility is the only one of it's kind in the metropolitan area available where off road sports such as motocross, enduro, super motard, supercross, junior motocross, pit bikes, quad bikes and flat track motorcycling can be undertaken in a controlled environment, on a casual basis and on private land.

The closure of this facility has left many children and families without a venue where they can legally participate in these sports on a casual basis without joining a Motorcycling Australia affiliated club.

Many off road riders now seek alternative areas to conduct their sport, often creating legal issues or environmental and social pressures.

Re-opening this facility will provide many people a facility to pursue their offroad sports in a legal and controlled environment.
