91. Save Florida's VPK Program 
Florida's Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Program was approved in 2002 by voters, it began in 2005 and has served our children well by preparing them for school, it also helps the parents of these 4 year olds by allowing them to enter the workforce or to go to school.
It has created jobs and helped the economy. Now the Florida Legislature wants to slash funding for the program and increase the class sizes. This will hurt our children's education and go against the wishes of Florida's voters. Let's protect our children and their education.

93. Support the People's Initiative to Build Ecopolis
President Obama has put a budget freeze on new domestic spending while allowing the military budget to increase. Of the total outlays of federal funds, the military receives 57%. The United States accounts for 47% of the world’s total military spending. Is the US military regime making us, citizens of the world, safer? Or is it causing us to be more insecure, poverty stricken, and morally and financially bankrupt? Is such a military budget helping us to build a peaceful world that has a cocreative stewardship with nature?
Engaging in war fronts abroad and watching the collapse of the infrastructure of civilization at home, the answer is clearly no. The permanent war economy is not the way to manifest peaceful ecological cities where people can pursue individual and collective happiness.
The world’s people are crying out for a new urban structure in which to feel ownership and belongingness. In horror, we have watched on television whole cities wiped out because of wars, natural disasters, and extreme weather. Fallujah, Iraq, New Orleans, USA, Sichuan Province, China, Bogale, Burma, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, have witnessed their citizens become homeless before our eyes. Al Gore predicts we will be faced with 100,000 million refuges as the seas rise because of global warming. Our present cities account for up to 75% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. Since 60% of the world’s people live in unsustainable cities, our task is to reinvent cities with solar energy by building ecopolis.
The People’s Initiative to Build Ecopolis is an inner peace and world peace political campaign to implement a holistic paradigm shift necessary for our further cultural evolution. Our mission is to create an architectural template which allows a new civilization type to take form. It is a people’s movement to build a container where a low-stress, cooperative, plant-based diet, Earth loving lifestyle can take root. Labor forces around the world turn green by constructing ecopolis—a global urban infrastructure-- that uses 21st Century communication and robotic technologies to assemble an empathic, post-carbon, car-free global culture.

94. The Conservative Party should reveal the tax status of Lord Ashcroft
The Conservative Party - including David Cameron - has repeatedly refused to reveal the tax status of its deputy chairman, Lord Ashrcoft, who has funded the party for almost three decades.
This has continued even after Lord Ashcroft promised to return to the UK from his home in Belize and pay UK income tax by the end of 2000, when he was made a peer.
David Cameron has said that, if elected, the Conservatives will "create a right of initiative nationally, where any petition that collects 100,000 signatures will be eligible to be formally debated in the House of Commons. Any petition with a million signatures will allow members of the public to table a Bill that could end up being debated and voted on by MPs."
So Mr Cameron has provided us with his definition of significance; that sounds like a challenge.

The public debt has increased by over $500 billion each year since fiscal year (FY) 2003, with increases of $1 trillion in FY2008, $1.9 trillion in FY2009, and $1.7 trillion in FY2010. As of October 22, 2011, the gross debt was $14.94 trillion, of which $10.20 trillion was held by the public and $4.74 trillion was intragovernmental holdings. The annual gross domestic product (GDP) to the end of June 2011 was $15.003 trillion (July 29, 2011 estimate), with total public debt outstanding at a ratio of 99.6% of GDP, and debt held by the public at 68% of GDP.
In the United States, there continues to be disagreement between Democrats and Republicans regarding the United States debt. On August 2, 2011, President Barack Obama signed into law the Budget Control Act of 2011, averting a possible financial default. During June 2011, the Congressional Budget Office called for "...large and rapid policy changes to put the nation on a sustainable fiscal course."
While the amount the U.S. owes topped the $15 trillion in November 2011 the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction still has no agreement to stem automatic cuts to the budget.

97. Canadians Against the "Quebec Style" Signage Bylaw of the City of Dieppe, N,B.
The City of Dieppe, New Brunswick has proposed a “Quebec Style” Commercial Signage Bylaw that all commercial signage must be in “ FRENCH ONLY “ or Bilingual while banning English only signage with fines for non compliance.
English and French are both the Official languages in Canada and both Language have Equal Rights and Privileges.
This is clearly DISCRIMINATION against the English language and against our Canadian Constitutional Rights to freedom of expression.
98. Impose Maximum Award Limits To Lawsuits
Lawsuit awards have gotten entirely out of control. To award anyone an amount that is several times more than their earning potential in a lifetime has become very costly to the American public. Awarding 3 million dollars fro spilled coffee, 300 million because someone chose to smoke, and various other unrealistic awards, cost all of us money. How many more hamburgers would McDonald's have to sell to make up for 3 million dollars? Can they make it up by selling more hamburgers, or would they have more success by raising the price? An insurance company gets ordered to pay 200 million dollars.
Who pays for that 200 million? WE DO! Rates go up, we pay more per month, include that amount in 10 other companies raising prices to cover losses and our paychecks now go only half as far as they did last month. It amazes me how many people think, "they have insurance, it won't hurt them." The actual truth is, YES it does hurt. It hurts us, the consumer, with higher prices that we must pay so that the insurance company can afford to pay these awards.

Often our politicians put forward motion or act in ways that are not representative of the majorities interest.

102. We the Common People Demand to be Heard!
On November 4, 2008, we the American people elected Barack Obama as president based on his campaign theme of “Change We Can Believe In.” His campaign was targeted at common people who wanted a real voice in the governing of our nation, which was supported by the national media via outlets such as CNN’s “Impact Your World” among others.
However, more than eight months since President Obama’s inauguration, many of us have still not had an opportunity to be heard despite our numerous attempts. We have used outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and have contacted the media in efforts to make our voices heard and to make a difference in our lives and our nation. Yet the media has been selective in who is heard and who is not: their unwritten policy is that if you are not rich or famous, you have no right to be heard, to make a difference, or to exist.
When someone who is rich and famous, such as a politician, a celebrity, or a corporate executive, has something to say, that person is heard immediately by a wide audience. When we have something to say, we are ignored because we do not have the looks, social status, or connections to be heard.
We have been demoralized by the media’s conscious efforts to suppress our voices and to provide us with hypocritical means for us to make our voices heard, when in fact the media has no desire to enact real change other than blindly supporting the agenda of President Obama.
Current events don’t affect only the rich and famous. Current events affect us. Yet the media continues to promote elitist opinions while ignoring what we have to say. We suffer as the Silenced Majority while the rich and famous elite are given untrammelled influence and power to maintain their status while we are bound in anonymity.
Enough is enough. It’s time for action. I am appealing to you, my fellow Americans, to support me in this cause. I ask that everyone, regardless of political affiliation, join me in making ourselves heard. Tell one, tell all, about this petition, and make the media aware that we will not accept the status quo any longer.

103. Replace Mary Harney (Minister for Health and Children in Ireland)
Since Mary Harney, the Minister for Health and Children in Ireland, has been in her position there have been many controversial stories ranging from using government jet for a Trip to Florida costing the taxpayer in the region of 80,000 Euro and reportedly she had a haircut costing 400 dollars, in 2006 controversy about 455 patients waiting on hospital trolleys one day, and recently has been in news as stories emerged of her moving cancer services from Sligo General Hospital to Galway Hospital (around 2 hour journey for Cancer patients) with dis-regard to huge public outcry.
And also the handling of closing wards and operating theatres in Crumlin Children's Hospital up in Dublin that nationally treats sick children in Ireland claiming that they had overspent on Budgets.

104. Creating A New World Where All Children Can Thrive
Join us as we establish a New World System, that truly project the real meaning of "democracy" in the world, where every child have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of the ethnic or economic background, geographical location, gender or sexual orientation.
A world that is inclusive of elders and youth being protected by proper health systems, care of individuals in all communities around the world, the care of our land and animal kingdom, that is for the enjoyment of "all people".
The present world structure has been established through fundamentalist religion, Judaism (Jewish male dominated rulership), Christianity (European male dominated rulership) and Islam (Arab/Middle Eastern male dominated rulership), that perpetuate the so called "Superior Culture" that rules the world, and is in the contest of winning the leadership based on "material gain" called "capitalism" in the form of natural resources, i.e., oil, gold, diamond, etc., and human slavery for profit and to win a game by "brut force, through war".
A system that continues to perpetuate denial of human rights of women and children, creating abusive situations, regardless of ethnicity, through rampant sexual assault (a number one tool used in war, to defeat the so called "enemy", the so called "other"), unjust child labor, majority of women in the role of sub servitude at the mercy of the "male dominated" society across the world, inclusive of the so called "Free world", "America" through Fundamentalist Religionists, Right and Left winged politics and the power through the monetary system created as a tool in dividing the world in different so called "classes, i.e., 1st class, second class, third class citizens". In God's kingdom there is only "one class of citizenship" those who all are living an abundant life, based on the Promise of the Universal System we find in such wisdom teachings as Genesis 1 in the Holy Scripture, promised to all inhabitants.
Our petition is to advocate a New World Order through a "Heart centered" Universal System, that is inclusive of all spiritual disciplines that advocate and promote the true equality of all of humanity based on the one ruling principle, "that all of humanity is created in the image and likeness of God" (whatever we may call this image), that every human being is a part of the whole, and deserve justice and liberty based on the factor that everyone on earth is worthy to be on the planet and it is enough provided for us all when we have a "heart centered" focus. Through a "heart-centered" social order, we are aware that the Creator, created all of us in the image and likeness of this Holy Order, and everything created is GOOD!
We believe this same message is also backed up in the Egyptian Kemetic Philosophical teachings, Judaism, Hinduism, etc., all are part of this Spiritual Universe,and regardless of what Spiritual disciplines are practiced, all participants are promised the fruits from the Tree of Life, just because EVERY SOUL on EARTH is part of the Universal Source.
105. End Compulsory Prayer in the Aussie Parliament
Since 1901, Australian Parliamentary Standing Orders have required the House & Senate to open daily with a Christian prayer, to the exclusion of all other beliefs and disbeliefs.

The Privacy Act was introduced to Australia around 1988. Prior to this changing personal information for yourself and others such as family members was simple and took a fraction of the time it takes today Since the Privacy Act has been introduced it has become a major frustration for many who simply wish to change personal information for themselves and others within the family.
Paranoia has taken over where it has got to a ridiculous state having to answer multiple questions to prove your identity. A recent example is a mother walked into a bank to deposit some funds into their child's account who was 8 years old. When she asked the teller for a balance on the account it was refused on the basis she was not the primary holder of the account. While we understand the intent of the Act it has made changing information for yourself and others very in-efficient. For example if a family of four relocate each person has to change their details with numerous organisations where in the past one person could change for all.
107. Stop Price Fixing of Canadian Dairy Products
Through a combination of a government-mandated cartel, and restrictions on imports of dairy products, Canadian dairy producers have used our government to create policies that forcibly transfer hard earned dollars from the Canadian consumer into the pockets of dairy producers.
Canadian dairy prices are consistently the highest in the world due to a lack of competition, and the stifling of the free market.
According to The U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the price of dairy fell over 20% from June 2008 to June 2009, while Canadian prices increased.
Travelling to the United States to find a deal on dairy products is discouraged as well, as Canadians can only enter Canada with $20 worth of milk products.
108. Action for Learning Democracy
Our society depends on active, informed and effective participation in democratic politics. However, many people today feel powerless. They do not trust politicians or the political system and do not take part in politics at any level.
To restore trust in politics, we recognise our responsibility to enable everyone to take part in democratic politics at some level, and to enable people to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to have an effective voice.
109. Constitutional Homeland Security
The Petitions are a very important part of the Committees of Safety. With a large number of signed petitions, we will be petitioning our State legislators to sponsor and vote for State statutes that will provide for a constitutional system of security and defense for a free State while also providing for a constitutional sound monetary system.
Our State legislators and Governors need to know that a large number of the People are in favor of these statutes and will volunteer when the statutes are enacted. They also need to know that, We the People, will support them (with our votes and money) when they sponsor and vote for these constitutional statutes. They will find it unnecessary to take money from "special interest lobbyists", because they will have the support from We the People.
They will be upholding their sworn oath, to support and defend the Constitution, securing our Rights and provide for the general Welfare of the People.
110. Calling for retained firefighters to remain exempt from EU working directive
At present, many local fire services are provided by retained firefighters who already work in full time jobs, and supplement that employment by giving service to the local community.
By making themselves available at the drop of a hat to attend local emergencies, they are often on call outside of normal work hours.
Although the directive requires employers to make sure that employees do not work more than 48 hours a week but, the Conservative Government secured an ‘opt-out’ in 1993.
However, the European Parliament has now voted that there should be no exception to the working time directive for the UK. Furthermore, the majority of the European Parliament wants any period of ‘on-call’ time, including ‘inactive’ time, to count as working time for the purposes of the directive.
Retained firefighters would be breaching this rule as their combined employment and ‘on call’ time will normally exceed 48 hours. – and subsequently they could be forced to give up this valuable service to the community.

112. Support the Child Protection Act of 2009
Creating a Special Commission to Review Legislation Impacting the Health and Welfare of Young People in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Preamble:
Whereas, laws affecting children and adolescents in the name of child protection have been passed episodically through the legislature over the past two hundred years¬¬—many of which are still in force, and in many respects too costly.
Since some of these statutes impacting the conditions in which our young people live and develop have been studied extensively by many experts, and found to be ambiguous, contradictory, antiquated, counterproductive, unconstitutional, or otherwise harmful to the health and welfare of young people in the Commonwealth, we believe it is necessary to carefully improve upon all laws impacting child development and maturation.
Considering that many of our statutes, in some measure, no longer serve the function of protecting the health and welfare of young people, nor promote their well being, it is the consensus of the vast majority of experts in child development and education that although statutes which attempt to create laws that better protect our young people’s health and welfare is indeed an important and compelling subject of thoughtful legislative action, it is crucial that the issues be carefully examined by specialized experts to implement consistency throughout our laws, regulations and policies.
Moreover, since we now have amassed over a century of experience with existing statutes and policies gathered by hospitals, psychologists, university professors, social workers, teachers, activists, psychiatrists, doctors, sociologists, child development specialists, politicians, parents, churches and many other individuals and institutions which act to serve the interests of young people, we now have access to more salient, complete and relevant data through expert studies and empirically determined observations as to what conditions are detrimental to our young people and which are helpful. We therefore find it prudent to reform the entire set of interlocking laws, regulations, rules, institutions, entitlements and policies which impact upon our young people, retire those statutes that do not work or cause harm to our youth, revise those statutes which can be transformed into positive contributions to the well being of our society in general, and frame new legislation to address problems not currently addressed by existing statutes or institutions to make the Commonwealth a place that does all in its power to promote the well being of our young.
We also believe that a more comprehensive approach to reviewing the existing context of laws influencing child development and maturation requires specialized consideration of all related areas, which therefore requires a large enough body of experts to competently examine which laws are harmful and to suggest the necessary reforms.
Be it proposed that the House of Representatives, Senate, and Governor review this legislation and deliberate in all due haste its implementation in order to reduce unnecessary harm being done to young people by laws which, while well intentioned themselves, are causing a economic burden to the Commonwealth and harm to the public safety, and to young people in particular, who are negatively impacted by their unintended consequences as a result of their misdirection—having been passed during times we were less familiar with the facts about child development and maturation.
113. Require Barrak Obama to produce his ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE
The US Constitution states only a "Natural Born Citizen" of the United States of America will be eligible to hold the office of President of the United States.
Barack Obama has refused to produce his "Official" Birth Certificate or other such "valid document" and by so doing is ineligible to hold the office of the President.
114. Inclusion of 'NOTA' Option on Electronic Voting Machines
The state of politics in India is going steadily from bad to worse. During elections, citizens face the prospect of voting for candidates who are unworthy, corrupt or criminal. In fact, the number of such unwholesome characters in the state legislatures and Parliament is growing, simply because voters do not have cleaner candidates to choose from.
In this scenario, what are the choices for the voter? He/ she can vote for a candidate who is slightly less corrupt or criminal, which is not an option. Or the voter can abstain from voting altogether-a poor form of registering protest; after all silence could mean consent.
There is, however, another option for the voter sick of the unprincipled, corrupt and criminal candidates who stand for elections-that is, to register a protest vote.
This option was has always been there in the form of Rule 49-0 of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, which allows a voter to vote for 'none'. This vote is called `None of the Above'(NOTA) vote.
However, when India made the transition from paper ballots to electronic voting machines (EVMs), the EVMs did not incorporate the NOTA choice for voters. While Rule 49-0 does offer a voter the right to make a NOTA choice, it does not ensure secrecy of the ballot. If a voter wants to exercise his NOTA choice, he has to sign for it in the Voters' Register in front of polling officials. This violates the secrecy of the ballot and infringes on the voter's fundamental right of free expression.
NOTA gives voters the right to withhold consent to unworthy or criminal candidates. If a sufficient number of voters feel that the choices are unacceptable, they can exercise the NOTA option and offer a means to start over again with cleaner candidates. It would force party leaders to consider merit while issuing tickets. Even when NOTA voters are not in a majority, a large number of such votes would force political candidates to rethink what they were doing wrong.
The political parties and the government have been lukewarm to the idea of the NOTA option. The argument here is that a repoll would involve additional costs. However, no cost is too small to ensure an honest and responsive political system.
There are no major impediments to implementing the NOTA option in EVMs. It does not even require the intervention of politicians and Parliament. According to the Representation of People (RP) Act, the Election Commission of India has full powers to make modifications to EVMs and the Conduct of Election Rules, 1960.
There have, however, been some voices of support for NOTA among politicians and bureaucrats. Former Vice-President of India Krishna Kant was in favour of such a move. In 2004, the then Central Election Commissioner T.S. Krishnamurthy suggested to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that a NOTA option be included.
Many countries offer the NOTA option to its citizens, including France, Columbia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and Bangladesh. It's time India too offered this option to ensure a political system free of rampant corruption and inefficiency.

116. Send UN Peacekeepers into Gaza and the West Bank Now
Hi,
After reading Mark Joyner’s 'How to End the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict' blog post I decided to create a global petition to rally support for his plan. Mark's plan decidedly avoids pointing fingers at anyone - it only asks for 3rd party intervention to provide security for all of the innocent civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and the surrounding Israeli towns - the vast majority of whom simply want to be left alone to live in peace.
Why sign this petition?
There is almost universal support around the world to send peacekeepers into Gaza and the West Bank, but some members of the UN Security Council block these efforts consistently. Mounting public support for an issue has influenced the decisions of governments in the past. This petition, as it gains wider and wider support, will have a greater and greater chance of having such an effect.

The 2009 Obama-Biden administration has already demonstrated their intent is to release confusion, discord, distrust, and an attack against the American people and the U.S. Constitution, itself.
Whereas, before they have even been installed into the Office of President and Vice President, they and many of their supporters have continued to disregard and disrespect the Constitution and the American traditions, values, mores, and God.
Whereas, while our military are fighting on foreign shores and at home to protect our rights, their families and ours are being systematically stripped of all rights.
Whereas, at a time of severe national crisis with people losing their jobs, healthcare, homes, and basic sustenances, Barack Obama has not ceased to publicly and arrogantly flaunt his multimillions of dollars purportedly received in multiples of dollar contributions during his electoral campaigns, his own having started in 2004, at the Democratic National Convention and did not end until the November 4, 2008, Presidential general election.
Whereas, Barack Obama has stated many times that, as President, he will form a coalition government of local, national, and international partnerships to decide issues for Americans with him.
Whereas, Barack Obama has stated his plans are to create a participatory form of governance rather than the constitutionally mandated representative form of governance by a sitting Congress, and such actions, if he is allowed to follow through, would facilitate a constitutional crisis of monumental proportions and forever change this nation's credibility at home and abroad as a sovereign democratic Republic and leader of the free world.
Whereas, Barack Obama has proved by his actions that he has no love of God or country, and he has no respect for authority, except his own.

Whereas, we do not believe Barack Obama is committed to protecting, preserving, and defending our constitution, by his failure to adhere to even the election laws with impunity and without accountability to anyone and that must no longer stand to be the case.

Whereas, all citizens of this nation, whether natural born or nationalized, we have the right to expect our elected leaders to uphold their vows taken when first admitted to those sacred halls of government. And, no less shall we expect, also, from the President of the United States of America.
