1. Goths, hippies, homosexuals, other relligions need acceptance in work place and in school

Schools in south africa are way too strict, they brutalize my culture and I have become a drop out because of south african schools. Okay if they really want I don't mind uniform, but when they start telkling you what to do with your body, piercings, tattoos and body modification is a part of my religion and they should allow that!

Stupid jobs don't employ people just because they have tattoos and piercings, even though the person is a genius, but they rather employ the egg head "normal looking one"! A police lady went to have a talk at our school, she was going on about drugs and sex, I went to ask her about homo sexual rights she told me "only if the person hits you" what a bloody stupid answer! and yet they call south africa a rainbow nation?? when racism is used verbally immediate action is taken place, some people cant get jobs, are mistreated because of their sexuality, piercings, tattoos, way of living.

I think everyone should have a right to live the way they want to!! And get the job if they do well at it not because of how they look! Society in south africa needs to open their disgusting closed little stingey shrivelled up minds and let people like me live, as long as you making my life a misery I'm gonna keep on bothering you.

The schools in south africa are disgusting and unclean, their discipline is like a military, and they are overly controlled and its distinguishing but what they learning is so unadvanced, and that they make afrikaans compulsory otherwise you cant study or have a job if you dont take afrikaans!

I'm not against afrikaans, I just dont wanna be forced to learn it after grade ten, and maths! Schools are too disciplinary and not enough learning, all they learning ias how to pray to some thing that doesn't exist, think a certain way and say "yes mam", and get overworked.

There's alot more to life than school and work, they should learn to be more flexible with homework and hours, we not machines, I know some people can work like machines but others cant! My poor friend who boards at DHS feels so brutalized and controlled he wants to kill himself or run away, he's just not coping! Im a drop out because south african schools suck!

2. Stop the Banning of Ear piercings in Schools

Too often schools will stop the education of a student because they may have one extra piercing in their ears. Just today I got pulled out of a year12 SAC because of an ear piercing.

Rules are made to make schools a healthy working environment, and teachers are designed to educate young minds, it is starting to appear that teachers care more about the appearance of their school rather than the education of their students.

Too many students are expelled/drop out because of piercings, and this has nothing to do with a students intelligence. Therefore, schools should not be able to disturb a child's choices in life, such as piercings, to keep their appearance untarnished, education must come first.

3. Allow Piercings in Florida Schools

Piercings : Why can't we have them in school

1. They are NOT bothering people;
2. They sometimes help Confidence in students;
3. There isn't anything wrong with them;
4. There really isn't a Reason why we can't have them.

Why do are parents let us have piercings but the school decides we can't have them, that we have to take them out or sometimes we get suspended for having them.

4. Get Piercings allowed in Scoil Mhuire Clane

Anyone and everyone thinking about getting a piercing but can't because of school, or anyone who has a piercing and was forced to take it out or was sent home because they refused to, or simply anyone who just likes piercings, join to see how many people demand piercings to be allowed in Scoil Mhuire Clane!

Don't you think that we should be allowed to have piercings in school? Aren't we told when growing up that we should express ourselves, but in school we are forced to hide that expression. We know that you get a piercing at your own risk, if anything happens to your piercing its your responsibility, so if something happens in school you don't blame the school (I know, but we want piercings allowed don't we?)

5. Abolish the piercing policy in Grand Island Senoir High

I myself do not have any piercings on my body, besides in my ears, but as i look around a lot of the student body have them, and teachers are hassling students to take them out and or be sent to in-house or the office for further discipline. To me, this is a much bigger distraction, than having the piercings themselves. But what doesn't make any sense is that recently, tattoos were recently allowed to be shown, and not covered up.

I myself think that the piercing rule should have been revoked before the tattoo rule was.

7. Stop Appearance Discrimination

I wish it to be added to the already enforced law (listed below) which prevents employment discrimination that we also not be discriminated against based on our appearance choices such as piercings, tattoos, and hair color. It should be our right to look in a way which makes us feel confident and comfortable as an individual. It does not hurt any one and there is no real grounds for this discrimination.

Some may not like the way these things(piercings, tattoos, etc) look.. but some may also think someone's natural physical appearance is unattractive.. should they to not get a job or hide their face at work because they are considered ugly by the employer? We should not be denied employment based on our looks period.. whether it be our skin color, our tattoos, or our bone structure. It is WRONG and needs to be made illegal.

On the subject of body piercings some employers say that it is a matter of safety in that this jewelery can become tangled or caught on equipment. If this be the case the employee should be allowed to then switch out hoop jewelery with a stud which does not dangle and thus cannot snag.

Also in the event that a tattoo is offensive such as nudity it should then be hidden from view of customers and other employees. Otherwise, they should be permissible.

prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

8. Allow More Visible Piercings in US Public Schools

January 26, 2006

I have ten piercings total, but they won't let me wear them in school. I am 17. I also have three tattoos but that is besides the point.

Anyway, we need to express our individuality more and they are suppressing our ability to do so.

9. Allow Piercings in Hartshorne Schools

Hartshorne Schools will allow the student body to dye their hair outrageous colors, but has banned body piercings. The only body piercings that are allowed are the ears and those who are hidden. Some hair colors stand out more than the body piercings, but the school will allow it still.

What I would like to do is convince the Hartshorne School Board to allow piercings in the schools.
