We the People, believe that the true power lies with the private citizens of the United States. We believe the founding fathers intentions were, according to the Constitution; for “the People” to control the government, not for the government to control “the People”. Government exist only for the People, only by the consent of the people.
We the People do hereby set forth the following list grievances and convictions, to all elected officials of the United States Government, in defense of certain inalienable rights, and moreover in defiance of the disregard of the principles laid forth in this petition.
The REAL ID Act was passed in February of 2005 without consent of the American people.
It requires every citizen who carries a driver's license to carry a Real ID, a nationalized identification card that will compromise American privacy and security.
The card will begin issuing on May 11th of 2008.
This petition calls for the Colorado government to refuse compliance with the REAL ID Act.
The patriot act allows the goverment total control of watching what you do. This includes, the web sights you visit, your phone calls, what you do at 3 in the morning, ect. This law by law goes against 9 amendments made to the constution. Not only that it is one step closer to a dictator ship.
This law is unfair to the american people and a disgrace that it was even passed. No one has been rightfully jailed and proven a terrorist. This is a law to start a war against the American people. Do your part in this war, get rid of the Patriot Act.

The USA PATRIOT Act, passed by Congress in the wake of 9/11 terrorist attacks, grants powers to law enforcement and intelligence gathering authoriites that can and are being used to undermine and otherwise violate the US Constitution.
On Aug. 14, 7:30, we present a petition to the Warwick Town Board requesting passage of a resolution against provisions of the Act which are a direct threat to our liberties. Please join us!
