5. STOP THE PLANNED CHANGES TO THE DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE
The UK Government plans to making drastic changes to the Disability Living Allowance including taking away many of the current travel concessions thus leaving many disabled UK Citizen's housebound.
Whilst we at the National Liberal Party would understand a "means" test to assist in stopping benefit fraud, we oppose the changes being put forward by the UK Government and would ask you to support us on getting these changes stopped.

(A)(1) It is unlawful for a person to wilfully, maliciously, and indecently expose his person in a public place, on property of others, or to the view of any person on a street or highway.
(2) This subsection does not apply to a woman who breastfeeds her own child in a public place, on property of others, to the view of any person on a street or highway, or any other place where a woman and her child are authorized to be.
(B) A person who violates the provisions of subsection (A)(1) is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined in the discretion of the court or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
We need to work to repeal these laws and strengthen the naturist movement for years to come.
9. Protect Reading's elderly and vulnerable people
The new Conservative and Lib Dem administration in Reading have announced plans to review the eligibility criteria for the care they provide to elderly and vulnerable people such as those with learning difficulties. Elsewhere in Berkshire where this has happened thousands of people have lost much needed services.
The Local Green Party believes that the cuts will affect thousands of Reading families who rely on these services to support them in living their day to day lives and it is essential that we fight to keep these services.

Williams has been politically involved with the Republican Party. On October 13, 2008, at a rally in Virginia Beach for Republican Presidential nominee John McCain, he performed "McCain-Palin Tradition", a song in support of McCain and his Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
On November 17, 2008, Williams announced that he will run for the U.S. Senate in 2012 as a Republican party candidate, challenging incumbent Republican Senator Bob Corker. We would like to point your attention to a pressing issue facing our community. In the last year, multiple neighbors have been plagued by an aggressive canine, loud and obnoxious party-goers, and loud and vulgar language all originating at 340 Oak Landing Drive. Even though some of us may have avoided these unpleasant occurrences, we all suffer from their negative affect upon our neighborhood.
The homeowners at 340 Oak Landing Drive have been contacted numerous times by the Oak Landing HOA with no compliance or regard for their neighbors. This petition seeks a fair and equitable solution to the above mentioned conflicts and strengthens the actions being taken by the Oak Landing HOA.
Shugo Chara! was adapted into an anime television series of the same title in 2007. The television series is produced by Satelight under the direction of Kenji Yasuda and was first broadcast on the Japanese network, TV Tokyo. Consisting of fifty-one episodes, the first episode, "A Guardian Character is Born!"aired on October 6, 2007.
A second year of episodes, under the title Shugo Chara!! Doki—began airing the week after the fifty-first episode, on October 4, 2008;
On August 25, 2009,Shugo Chara party was aired and has finished with only 25 episodes with a very unsatisfying ending which left loads of fans disappointed and confused as to wheather this is the very final episode.

Die Playa de Palma ist vor allem bei Urlaubsgästen aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum das beliebteste Ziel auf Mallorca. Vor allem jüngeres Publikum nutzt die Gegend, um in den Sommermonaten ausgiebig feiern zu können. Damit stellt die Playa de Palma einen bedeutenden Wirtschaftsfaktor auf Mallorca dar. Nun ist beabsichtigt, die Playa de Palma zur führenden Tourismusregion in Europa auszubauen. Dazu soll die Zahl der am Strandabschnitt angebotenen Hotelbetten in etwa halbiert werden. Das sündhaft teure Projekt, das sich der hochverschuldete Staat eigentlich gar nicht leisten kann, soll in Zukunft voll auf sogenannten Qualitätstourismus setzen. Dass feiernde Jugendliche in dieses Bild nicht mehr passen, liegt auf der Hand.
Durch die Umbaupläne droht der Playa de Palma schwerer wirtschaftlicher Schaden zu entstehen. Das bisherige Publikum wird die Gegend wegen gestiegener Preise und fehlendem Feierangebot meiden. Solvente Touristen werden die Gegend alleine schon wegen ihres über Jahrzehnte aufgebauten Image auch künftig nicht ansteuern. Hinzu kommt, dass naturliebhabende „Qualitätstouristen“ attraktivere Ziele finden als die stark verdichtet bebaute Playa de Palma.

16. Reinstate Lounge Area Drinking
For the first time in recent years, the University Administration has decided that due to an elevated level of underage drinking and vandalism, there will be no consumption of alcohol - casual or heavy - in the designated student lounges.
As a compromise, the undersigned students propose that the administration consider permitting the use of specific predesignated lounges for student recreation purposes under the condition that the lounges remain free of vandalism.

Dear Secretary of State Clinton,
Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline that is Buddhist in nature. It consists of moral teachings, a meditation, and four gentle exercises that resemble tai-chi and are known in Chinese culture as “qigong.” The latter are a truly unique, and very much enjoyable, way to improve the health and condition of one’s body.
At the core of Falun Gong are the values of truth, compassion, and forbearance (or in Chinese, Zhen, Shan, Ren). Falun Dafa teaches that these are the most fundamental qualities of the universe itself, and takes them to be a guide for daily life and practice. Falun Gong is also known as “Falun Dafa.”
By 1999 Falun Gong was reported to have grown to become the largest, and fastest growing, practice of the sort in Chinese if not world history. In just seven years since its 1992 introduction to the public, an estimated 70-100 million persons in China were by then making Falun Gong a part of their daily lives.
In Asia spiritual practices of this variety are often referred to as ways of “cultivation”, or “self-cultivation,” and form an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Various Daoist, Buddhist, and Confucian practices fit this rubric.
Through consistent and dedicated practice, the student of Falun Gong comes to achieve a state of selflessness, greater insight and awareness, inner purity, and balance—the inner workings of what might be called true health. Ultimately he or she approaches what in the Asian tradition is known as “enlightenment” or “attaining the Dao” (or “Way”).
While Falun Gong aspires to inner transformation of the self, it nevertheless typically translates outwardly into positive change in the world, insofar as the practitioner becomes a more patient family member, a more conscientious employee, a more giving member of the community, and so on.
Falun Gong has thus been the subject of many citations, awards, and proclamations as conferred by government officials and a variety of organizations. Many who practice Falun Gong have been the recipients of service awards in their communities. The practice’s founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, is a four-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and was nominated by the European Parliament for the Sakharov Prize For Freedom of Thought.
Few people today are aware that the practice and its followers received much in the way of official recognition in China during the 1990s, prior to a dramatic, and violent, change in political winds in 1999 which saw the practice banned.
In 1993, Mr. Li Hongzhi was named the “Most Welcomed Qigong Master” in Beijing and bestowed by an official body with the Award for Advancing Frontier Science. That same year, The People's Public Security News—the official newspaper of China’s Ministry of Public Security—praised Mr. Li for his contributions “in promoting the traditional crime-fighting virtues of the Chinese people, in safeguarding social order and security, and in promoting rectitude in society.”
By 1999, Chinese officials went so far as to quantify Falun Gong’s benefits, such as when one official from China’s National Sports Commission, speaking with U.S. News & World Report, declared that Falun Dafa “can save each person 1,000 yuan in annual medical fees. If 100 million people are practicing it, that’s 100 billion yuan saved per year in medical fees.” The same official went on to note that, “Premier Zhu Rongji is very happy about that.”
Today Falun Gong is practiced freely in more 70 countries around the world, with clubs and associations existing in a range of cities, companies, universities, and other settings. Regrettably in China, its country of origin, it is currently banned and the subject of gross human rights violations at the hands of communist rulers.
While Falun Gong is practiced openly in the 70-plus countries where it is found, today in its homeland of China it is subject to well-documented egregious human rights violations. The scale and scope of abuses taking place make this possibly the largest religious persecution in the world today.
Suppression officially began on July 22, 1999 following years of escalating state abuses (timeline).
One basic explanation for the seemingly irrational campaign is the proclivities of China’s atheist Communist Party (the CCP), which fears all groups outside its control – particularly ones that subscribe to a different ideology.
The Party has tried several times to eradicate all expressions of religion from China (a country traditionally referred to as "the land of the divine"). To this day Roman Catholics, many Protestants, and Tibetan Buddhists cannot worship freely in China and are at constant risk of detention and torture. By 1999, Falun Gong became a natural target as it was the largest - and fastest growing - spiritual group in China with 100 million practitioners nation-wide, according to Chinese Government reports at the time.
Others have noted that the decision to launch the campaign is linked to former-Party head Jiang Zemin’s "fear" and "jealousy" of Falun Gong. According to analyst Willy Lam (news), Jiang has been seen as "using the mass movement to promote allegiance to himself." Sources cited by the Washington Post, state that, "Jiang Zemin alone decided that Falun Gong must be eliminated," and "picked what he thought was an easy target." (more about the origins of the campaign).
Perhaps the most prominent feature of the campaign has been its prevalent use of extreme torture. Torture of Falun Gong adherents has been documented in each of China’s provinces, in jails, labor camps, brainwashing centers, and schools in China’s big cities, small towns, and villages.
Popular torture techniques include shocking with electric batons, burning with irons, tying the body in painful positions for days, force-feeding saline solutions through a plastic tube inserted up the nose, and prying out fingernails with bamboo shoots, to name a few; rape and sexual torture of the Falun Gong in detention are prevalent as well.
To date over 3,000 deaths have been documented, as well as over 63,000 accounts of torture. An estimate of the real figure puts the actual death toll in the tens of thousands (more about torture)
When the persecution was launched in 1999, tens of millions of Chinese who practiced the meditation discipline were faced with a choice. One option was to again surrender to the Communist Party and abandon a practice that had brought them better health, spiritual guidance, and, invariably, newfound hope. A second option seemed to be to continue practicing quietly at home – but as raids quickly showed, this was impossible even if one were able to turn a blind eye to the persecution of family and friends. A final option was to openly resist the persecution in spite of knowing full well what the painful consequences might be.
Indeed, those who chose the latter have most commonly faced forms of oppression that do not make headlines – dismissal from work, expulsion from universities, deprivation of health care and pensions, divorce, homelessness, and a range of other forms of discrimination (more about: persecution in the family, persecution at work and school, and destitution).
For hundreds of thousands, the most basic reality of the campaign has been long periods of detention in "reform through labor" camps – China’s Gulag system. There they are forced to work up to 20 hours per day, producing – without pay – toys, Christmas tree lights, chopsticks, and soccer balls for export. Those who refuse are tortured (more about arbitrary detention and slavery).
Be it in labor camps, jails, or in special reeducation centers, all detained Falun Gong practitioners have been forced to undergo what can only be described as brainwashing. The Communist Party’s goal is to force these people to renounce their spiritual beliefs and come to view Falun Gong as dangerous, as well as to turn in others who are active in exposing the persecution.
The key ingredients of the brainwashing process, or what the Party calls "transformation," is sleep deprivation, hours on end of staring at videos vilifying Falun Gong, threats, and Cultural Revolution-style "struggle sessions". Some particularly "stubborn" individuals who refuse to transform are injected with psychotropic drugs in asylums as treatment for the mental disorder of incorrect political thinking (more about psychological persecution).
The Party’s ultimate solution for the vast number of incarcerated Falun Gong adherents, however, is much more terrifying. According to current and former hospital employees, the Falun Gong have been used in reverse organ-matching – they have been killed by the thousands so that their organs can be used for on-demand transplants.
Livers, kidneys, hearts, and cornea are removed from the living, anesthetized Falun Gong adherents with matching blood-types and sold to Party officials and other desperate-yet-wealthy individuals from China and abroad. Undercover investigators’ phone calls to Chinese hospitals have caught doctors boasting about this practice on tape (more about organ harvesting).
But, as in every genocide of the twentieth century, extreme violence first required dehumanization of "the other" through propaganda. Indeed, one key measure in the Party’s suppression has been to limit, and distort, information about Falun Gong—both in China and elsewhere.
From day one of the suppression, the regime banned all books and informational media produced discussing Falun Gong positively. All websites relating to the practice were immediately blocked. Millions of Falun Gong books were forcibly seized and burned publicly. The regime feared people might learn, if they knew not already, that Falun Gong was a healthy, normal, and positive way of life embraced by millions (more about censorship).
These censorship efforts have, of course, extended to cyberspace, thanks in no small part to Western companies who have enthusiastically sold Internet surveillance technology to the Party’s security apparatuses. As a result, Chinese people are now in jail for posting evidence of torture online or even downloading articles about Falun Gong (more about the persecution and the Internet).
Alongside censorship, the Party has sought to scandalize Falun Gong through an aggressive propaganda blitz. The regime has been determined to paint Falun Gong as dangerous, deviant, and abnormal.
Former Party Chairman Jiang Zemin led the way, attaching onto Falun Gong the label of "cult" three months after his ban as means to further bend public opinion. The Ministry of Propaganda thus launched numerous publications, radio and TV shows, and even plays, comic books, and exhibitions meant to criminalize Falun Gong (more about this propaganda campaign).
Government officials around the world, meanwhile, report receiving defamatory materials from Party emissaries. These are often accompanied by attempts to pressure the elected officials to stay silent about abuses perpetrated against the Falun Gong, to rescind proclamations in recognition of Falun Gong’s contributions to the community, and to block local Falun Gong activities such as parades or conferences.
Business owners, journalists, and scholars have also been subjected to similar pressure tactics and threats (more about pressure overseas), leading to a sometimes eerie silence in Western press and academia (see "Out of the Media Spotlight").
Beyond mere threats, Falun Gong adherents overseas have been physically assaulted and spied on by agents directly connected to the Chinese Communist regime (more about persecution overseas).
The Falun Gong have responded to all of this with markedly peaceful means. Throughout nearly a decade of persecution, they have refused to adopt violence. Instead, adherents first tried to reason with Communist Party rulers through letters and petitions. When these fell on deaf ears, the Falun Gong turned to Tiananmen Square where – through quietly meditating or displaying banners before being arrested - they sought to call upon the conscience of the Chinese people as well as world leaders. As the persecution continued, the Falun Gong began countering state propaganda by distributing information exposing the persecution through leaflets, VCDs, emails, and phone calls.
Collectively, this resistance movement - composed of bold individual acts in spite of great personal risks – constitutes what is probably today’s largest non-violent movement in the world (see "Righteous Resistance").
Outside of China, Falun Gong practitioners and supporters have also engaged in a range of activities aimed at exposing the persecution on the mainland. Since the Falun Gong in China are denied any legal rights there (more about violations of China’s law and the complicity of the judiciary), a group of leading rights lawyers are carrying out one of history’s broadest international campaigns legal campaigns with the aim of bringing CCP officials to justice for what these attorneys are calling the genocide of Falun Gong (more about lawsuits around the world and violations of international law).
19. Push Boston's Closing Time Back to 5 A.M.!
While traveling these Great United States of America, I've discovered Boston, the city I love, to be on par or to surpass many a major city in terms of culture, fashion, history, education, and diversity. What do these cities posses that Boston lacks? The case could be made for better roads, cleaner subways, or costlier housing. However, I believe that one glaring knock on Boston's national and international reputation is its early-to-bed nightlife.
For a city so vibrant, so rich, and so young, closing times affect people from all walks of life who find themselves in Beantown: tourists, college students, businessmen and women, musicians, professional athletes, and so on. To better compete economically with other major cities, as well as opening doors to greater investment and diversity, Boston should push its closing time back to one comparable with other great cities, 5 A.M. .
20. Republican Party Must Return to Conservatism (for Registered GOP)
The Republican Party has continued to stray from the Reagan conservatism that made it effective and a force for good in the world. If the GOP hopes to become relevant again, it must halt this left-ward drift and return to conservatism.
Otherwise, it will continue to lose elections and to give this country by default to the socialists, fascists, and others on the Left who currently are working through the Democrat Party and its affiliates in various NGOs and the mainstream news media.

This action will bring about a constitutional crisis.

THE OBJECTIVE is for you to take a stand and SUPPORT REAL DEMOCRACY by encouraging four serious, highly experienced, and patriotic candidates running on the Libertarian, Green, Constitutional and Independent platforms (see details below) to hold televised and otherwise broadcast (e.g. YouTube, radio) presidential and vice presidential debates. The debates must take place as soon as possible and regardless of whether the Democratic and Republican candidates, who control the regular debate process, choose to participate.
This petition is addressed to:
1. Third party candidates (first and foremost) - because they must collaborate to organize the debates, publicize them and push for media coverage.
2. The media - because Americans want to have real options and hear real issues!
3. Sympathetic celebrities, politicians and other figures who can use their visibility to speak out and otherwise support the effort.
4. American voters - as one official noted in 1966 about Civil Rights-era mobilization in Mississippi, “the petition ‘is a forceful and dramatic expression of the feelings of [the] people…It does show that there is a good deal of organization at the grass roots level (cited in Andrews 2001, p. 88).’ ”

THE PROBLEM:
The Commission on Presidential Debates, created and run exclusively by the Democrats and Republicans, has sole control over who can participate in the regular televised presidential debates. The Commission’s rules prohibit any serious candidates from participating in any debates even if they have collected the hundreds of thousands of signatures necessary to get onto all state ballots and have millions of supporters among voters.
Participation is allowed only for candidates polling at or above 15% nationally. This threshold is completely unreasonable for anyone who does not have millions and millions of dollars to buy media exposure. The commission’s rules are designed only to give the two parties exclusive control for setting the national agenda.
Candidates who can not participate in televised debates have no chance to rise in national rankings. At the same time, the Democrats and Republicans simply claim that there are no “serious” candidates out there - and so the cycle continues! Consequently, the debate rules effectively stifle any real discussion of the issues not covered by the two parties.
HOW YOU CAN TAKE A STAND
In early September, 2008, Ron Paul, a Republican congressman and former presidential candidate from Texas convened a conference at the National Press Club that brought together an impressive group of third party candidates from across the political spectrum: Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and Bob Barr (Barr did not attend the conference but supports the joint effort). The candidates have different platforms, but all agree on several key issues, including, for example, ending the Iraq War, opposing the Patriot Act and opening up the presidential debates!

With the initial boost from the Ron Paul conference, it is time for American voters to encourage third party candidates to go even further and organize open, democratic presidential debates, even if McCain and Obama decline to take part! Worried about the “spoiler effect”?
Convinced that Ralph Nader could “spoil” the election for the Democrats? Well, Bob Barr, the former Republican congressman and now Libertarian presidential candidate is being sued by the McCain campaign for ballot access because Republicans believe that he may take away their votes. So what does this mean? It means that third party candidates represent a range of political positions and therefore any votes they get will affect both the Democratic and Republican candidates, not just one side or the other.

25. Call for election in Trinidad and Tobago NOW!
On 31st August, 1962, Dr. Eric Eustase Williams brought Indepence for our country from the British Empire and formed the People's National Movement to bring democracy in politics in the country and everything became wonderful for the people.
Today, he might as well be still spinning in his grave, because, after 46 years, our country is in turmoil. crime has escalated, the economy is going down the drain and our conditions have not improved.
Our country cannot wait much longer for things to improve. The people of Trinidad and Tobago should take this vote of no confidence as a cue to call for another fresh elections so they will vote for a better political party that will deliver us for the pain and suffering already inflicted on us.

28. Re-open Jumpin Jaks Gloucester
In 2006 “The Best Party in Town” or as it was more commonly known “Jumpin Jaks” in Gloucester ceased its operations. For so many people in Gloucester, JJ's was known for its great party atmosphere, especially to the older generations and those who fancied a change from the other clubs on offer.
Over the past two years, the number of people actively clubbing in Gloucester has risen significantly. As a result of this, we have seen numerous major UK chain bars and restaurants make their move to Gloucester. Most notably, Lloyds No.1 Bar, J.D Wetherspoons and Varsity. Many of Gloucester’s nightclubs have also had major refits during this time to cater for the ever increasing number of people, wishing to make use of their facilities.
Having visited other Jumpin Jak’s locations, it is clear that the brand’s image is still very strong, most noticeably in Cardiff, thanks to its excellent entertainment team. This is something that could definitely be brought to Gloucester.
What Gloucester is also currently lacking are student nights. Jumpin Jaks would instantly produce an attractive venue for students throughout both Gloucester and Cheltenham and with the proposed build of a new campus for Gloucestershire University, the city will see hundreds of new students living in Gloucester by 2012.
The 3D-Entertainment Group currently owns and operates the "Envy-Lansons" Nightclub on Quay Street, Gloucester which is due to become a "Studio 25" very soon. Ideally it would be more beneficial if both "Studio 25" and "Jumpin Jaks" were to exist in the city. However given the choice, the "Jaks" location would probably be favored over that of "Envy-Lansons" by the general public and so it has been suggested that an option could exist by which trade is ceased at the "Envy-Lansons", Quay street location and moved to the old "Jumpin Jaks" site on Brunswick Road.
The Jumpin Jaks site is currently still being marketed for sale on a freehold basis and has planning permission for a complete demolition, so any action would need to be taken before the site gets snapped up by another retailer!
The aim of this petition is to show the owners of the “Jumpin Jaks” brand that the people of Gloucester need a new nightclub which caters for all kinds of people and gives them a place to party each and every weekend. The memories that so many people share could once again be brought alive!
29. Immediately axe Troy Buswell as WA Liberal Party Leader!
Troy Buswell admitted to "sniffing the chair" of a female at a meeting. He was described as making sexual noises, and writhing around in mock pleasure after completing this humilating act in front of this female colleague and others.
He has previously snapped a bra of a female in a work environment.
His mysoginistic, disgusting behaviour towards women SHOULD NOT be tolerated. This is the man who MAY be elected to lead our state and be in charge of policy affecting women. He shows a lack of respect, complete immaturity, and deaming, sexualising behaviour towards women. How would he handle domestic violence policy? How would he handle sexual harrassment policy when he has admitted to being a perpertrator!
THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE AXED IMMEDIATELY.
