1. Allow "4 Men and a Little Lady's Frozen Treats" to operate in Farmville NC 
4 Men and a Little Lady's Frozen Treats was established with the young and the young at heart in mind. What we are trying to establish is a means for the children and the transportation disabled to be able to enjoy the "old-fashioned" way of getting frozen treats from the local ice cream truck.
All safety precautions will be taken to make this a safe and exciting time for the kids in the neighborhood, and also give them something to look forward to every season.
2. Remove health hazards from East Gardena Neighborhood
We have been trying to get a company, Angelus Block, the GARDENA PLANT, 252 E. Redondo Beach. Blvd.
Gardena, CA 90248, (310) 323-8841, FAX (310) 327-2291, to stop making noise 24 hours a day. They have refused to honor our request claiming they have permits that allow them to do as they please.
Our research shows that they are in violation, complaints have been made and we have yet to get a sustained resolution to the problem. Zoning Enforcement, Section I, County of Los Angeles Dept. of Regional Planning, 320 W. Temple St.,Los Angeles, CA 90012 has rendered the following,
"The Conditonal Use Permint (CUP) for the property 252 E. Redondo Beach Blvd. is current. Unfortunately, in reviewing the conditions placed on the business by the CUP, none of the conditions address your concerns. There are no conditions that limit the hours of operation.
Nonetheless, while the CUP gives Angelus Block the right to operate, it by no means gives them the right to operate through the night. If the current operation is in violation of other sections of the County Code, they should be enforced. If the property owner has stated that he has a permit that allows him to operate at night, then that is incorrect and because hours of operation is not part of the conditions placed on the property, it does not give them the right to operate at any hour if it violates the County Code, such as Title 13. Therefore steps can be taken to make Angelus Block comply with the other sections of the County Code."
The materials used to manufacture bricks, concrete, ete contains hazardous material which infiltrate the lungs and Angelus Block does not make any attempts to contain those materials.

This petition was started in support of one of the hardest working women I have ever met.
She is trying to start a new restaurant in the Selma that will benefit the city and surrounding area in many ways.

4. Keep Hazardous Waste Facility out of East Chicago, Indiana

Abrade Technologies, Inc. has applied for a permit to operate a hazardous waste facility in East Chicago.
The City Council has voted "no."
The Lake County Waste Management Advisory Board has also voted "no."
Abrade has filed suit against both the City Council and the Lake County Board.
I run a MyLeague league on Pogo. My league, and I know several other leagues, have ran into problems with very hostile players in the rooms we try to host and play in.
Even though Pogo allows myleague to operate in all pogo rooms, we have very hostile players who are attacking leagues who try to start hosting tours in rooms. My league can no longer play in Poppa Zoppa in the room we intended to play in as people have started putting fake accounts and gathering up everyone they can to sit in the room in order to not allow any leagues to enter the room.
Pogo needs to start doing something about the hostile players on Pogo if they want myleague leagues to continue playing there. I know of one league that was completely ran out of the game they were playing due to hostile players.
6. Yes to Tourneys in Flipside Social Rooms
This is a petition to rebutt the one to ban Tourney Playing in Uproar/Flipside Social Rooms. The leagues that operate in these rooms do a lot of work to host fun games for players that enjoy. These players also bring new players to Uproar/Flipside and support the playsite a great deal. Also, the tourney playing only takes up a few tables at a time and in no way interfere with non tourney playing.
7. Petition For Standard Certification Of All Ultrasound Technicians
My son, Shane, was born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). CDH is a birth defect that occurs when the diaphragm does not fully form allowing the abdominal organs to enter into the chest cavity, preventing the lungs from growing. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and then another at 8 and a half months. The ultrasound was performed, and they said everything was OK but wouldn't give us any pictures until they gave in to my begging a few weeks later- only to give a picture of Shane's backside. An ultrasound at 8 months gestation on a baby who had virtually no left diaphragm, the majority of his abdominal organs in his chest, 2 heart murmurs, and a displaced heart, and they claimed they saw nothing. When we requested Shane's medical records a few years later, there it was in black and white on the technician's note- "Stomach missing." They knew something was wrong and never told us, never did more testing, never referred us to a specialist. If we had known, had time to research, we never would have allowed Shane to be treated at the facility that he was transferred to after birth, a hospital with an extremely low CDH survival rate. If we had known, Shane wouldn't have been subjected to the trauma of a transfer and wouldn't have been delivered at a hospital that didn't even have a pediatrician in the building because it was after 5:00 p.m and he wouldn't have suffered many severe complications. Shane died in 1999 at age 6 and a half as a result of these complications. In the United States, ultrasound technicians do not have to be certified and there is no standards or laws on who can/cannot perform ultrasounds.
