With the ending of the phenomenal second season of the called anime series Darker Than Black, many loyal viewers were disappointed with the lack of answers given to the amount of questions generated by it’s ending.
So we, disappointed but still loyal fans and viewers, come here to state our point and to try to have BONES and the director Tensai Okamura to listen to our only wish.
We agree that not only the ending was too unclear and left too much in open, but also showed us a new tipping point in the story that had origin in the ending chosen for the 2nd season, and which is still a hidden incognito for all the DTB fans around the world. We see in this, a very new opportunity to improve the story and to develop the concept within it, as new mysteries peeked in the very ending of Season 2, and they seem to be just waiting to be revealed. Such a mysteries that had origin through the following facts told at the finishing part of Season 2:
- America invaded Japan, in hopes of regaining their status as the World superpower.
- Misaki, Madame Oreille, Mao and co. formed a group to resist to the Americans, called The Syndicate.
- A child woke up inside Hell’s Gate and is seen to be able of killing many humans.
- It’s assumed to be the child of Izanagi and Izanami, Kagutsuchi, the prophesied disaster to befall the World.
- Hei is alive and has his powers back.
• Through this topics, we find that the story was never completed, as we don’t know how this battle against Kagutsuchi ended. If the humans were save or how the child of Izanagi and Izanami was killed.
• Looking for other points and questions, we found out that although the whole 2nd season was all about it, no one actually figured out for sure who was Izanagi. If he was Hei or Shion we would only know if we saw Kagutsuchi.
• Other hidden points in the story were Yin’s wish and the fact that we never got to know if she really died, if Hei was able to kill her, or he just rescued her.
Also a very important fact, but this one related to both seasons:
- We still don't know what happened on Heaven's Gate. - What was Hei's link with Amber?
- How he got involved?
- How he got his powers?
- Why it's said that what happened in Heaven's Gate was BK201 fault? Hei's fault? His sister's fault?
All this, takes us to the same conclusion: There’s no reason why an anime as successful as Darker Than Black, should be shoot down by BONES when it has now the greatest opportunity to conquer more fans with a whole new season.
2. Where the Green Bud Grows: Tommy Chong for Nobel Peace Prize
For 40 years Cheech and Chong have entertained the world with their comedy regarding Marijuana. From what started out by a controlling governments around the world claiming that a naturally grown plant they claimed led to hard drugs has now been downgraded and then upgraded as a medicinal plant which studies from the 1800's have proven that it has usage for Depression, Sleep Disorders, Asthma, Gluacoma, and today Cancer.
Without Music, Life Would Be A Mistake. What more preamble do you need?
Right now, there is a lack of federal funding for arts programs. Furthermore, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), school budget crunches have been a trend over the past couple years and span the entire nation.
These two factors place arts programs in danger of being cut. In addition, laws that emphasize standardized testing take away time in arts classes.
However, various studies have shown that music education can increase intellect and makes students happy.
5. Stop the manipulation: Boy bands are lying to you
A petition for Shane Dawson's video "Boy bands are lying to you". Stop mainstream artists from using their fans' low self-esteem and confidence for their own benefit.
Stop them for manipulating more and more fans into buying their biased songs and records.
6. Cher for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was created 25 years ago for the purposes of "recognizing the contributions of those who have had a significant impact on the evolution, development and perpetuation of rock and roll" (RRHOF).
Cher (born Cherilyn Sarkisian) has not only been a vital player in the growth and evolution of music genre and style, but was and is the INSPIRATION for celebrated artists worldwide, including already inducted artist, Madonna.
Cher has been at the face & in the heart of rock and roll for every decade since the 1960's from her first industry job as a backup singer to her latest album announced for release September 2013. That is more than 50 years of talent, perseverance and dedication.
Cher has more than paid her dues for this award and it is long past time for her to have received recognition of those accomplishments from her peers.
This petition is also affiliated with 'The Lovelie Project 2013'; a collection of art, multimedia, letters, tweets et. al. planned for presentation to Cher at her Toronto stop for the 'Never Can Say Goodbye' Tour (TBA).
If you would like to submit something to TLP, please visit our facebook site here https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Lovelie-Project/458934417509979 or email submissions to thelovelieproject@hotmail.com with instructions as to credit/copyright.
7. Mandate Music and Art Education in our nation's elementary schools
All americans should work to enhance and support music and art education in our nation's schools. A child's first years offer a critcally important window of opportunity to develop skills that determine their success. Mandating music and art on the elementary level insuring it become a part of every child's core curriculum is essential.
Ensure music and art are included as a part of a well balanced education addressing the whole child, to prepare them for the creative thinking necessary for success in the work force of the future.
Teaching students to be creative is a deliberate process and deserves its weekly exposure and guided practices by art and music educators.
8. End YouTube's copyright school!
Over two years ago, YouTube, under pressure from lawmakers and the music industry created a "copyright school" and released a video along with it.
Jodie Griffin of Public Knowledge writes that those YouTube users who are "alleged to have violated copyright law must watch a video discussing some of the basics on copyright law...pass a quiz or risk having their account deleted" and the "school" is one-sided as "users accused of infringing copyright must take the course, but copyright owners accused of making false or fraudulent infringement claims don't." (http://www.publicknowledge.org/blog/my-first-day-youtube-copyright-school) Additionally, Raymond J. Dowd writes on his blog that the video doesn't "mention the public domain...[and] is indoctrinating children into fear of quoting materials by authors living and dead by showing images of corporal punishment meted out by judges."
Additionally, Dowd notes that "YouTube's video doesn't mention copyright law's grounding in the US Constitution, nor the purpose of copyright law." (http://copyrightlitigation.blogspot.com/2011/04/fair-use-fridays-youtube-flunks.html) Let us unite together and stop this copyright school.
9. Rebuild Joliet Jobs & Entertainment Xander
Tolios Andrew, Inc. produces sound establishments with a healthy blend of food and entertainment. We want to rebuild a once respectable Sports and Entertainment Establishment.
We believe that our new philosophies and codes of conduct will restore this location.
10. Vans Warped Tour Perth 2013!
This year it was announced that Vans Warped Tour would be returning to Australia and will not be coming to Perth. As we get Soundwave and completely sell out tickets for Perth Soundwave I see no reason for us to miss out on another popular festival with similar music.
"Soundwave boss AJ Maddah will team up with Warped founder Kevin Lyman to bring the festival back to Australia and has confirmed that the tour will travel to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and a couple of regional centers on the east coast. Perth will not be on the schedule."( - http://www.fasterlouder.com.au ) This is ridiculous. As the manager of Soundwave he should see Perth as a potential market and we need to show him we want the festival as much as the festival wants us.
The festival came to Australia for the first time in 1998 and never came to Perth either. Its time for a change! Grab your keyboards and lets show the Perth music scene isn't as weak as they perceive.
11. Bring Back Top of the Pops
Top of the Pops used to be a social bond between families and generations.
New music had an outlet and the music industry benefited from the exposure.
With its cancellation music had to go viral on the internet and digital TV channels.
What we are entering into is a period of no cross over music and musical stagnation where the only outlet for 'new' music or talent on TV are reality/talent shows.
Bring back Top of the Pops.
12. No More Bed Time For Soundwave
Every year in February and March, the Soundwave Festival tours Australia, bringing much-anticipated international and national bands to our shores for one day of hardcore excitement. However, due to scheduling conflicts, many of the festival's punters are unable to see the bands they want. In fact, hundreds have voiced their displeasure in the timetable on various platforms.
To solve this situation, we, the 300,000+ strong fanbase request that, to accommodate for these horrific clashes and the disappointed and saddened fans, the curfew be reconsidered for the festival in it's 5 states. As ticket holders, we feel that we should be able to see the bands we want without having to make a heart-breaking choice. The festival is, for many, the only way to see these bands, so you could (hopefully) understand the frustration and sadness that arises from these bands clashing.
We ask that you please consider lifting the curfew to the fair suggestion of midnight. If the show were to run a mere 2 hours longer, many of these clashes would not only be resolved, but bands would be able to play longer sets for their high-paying, loyal fans.
Note from Sarah-Jane: I, myself am attending Soundwave with my special needs sibling and a friend who legally blind. I will not feel safe with punters running between stages between acts for my sibling and friend. I feel the curfew raises safety issues. A longer timeset would ensure more bands could play in the one allocated spot. Additionally I am worried about the crowds forcing their way to the front of stages after other acts at different stage locations causing fights and drama.
Note: This petition is directed at the council and venues of the Soundwave events (excluding sideshows). We fully support and appreciate Soundwave staff and what they do for their fans.
13. SAVE RAINBOW SERPENT FESTIVAL 2013
“THIS IS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE”
We understand the decision not to grant the POPE permit was due solely to concerns for the safety of all who gather for the festival. We as a community understand the concerns and the need for the Shire Council and Emergency Services to have strict guidelines, as we live in an extremely precarious and volatile area with potential Environmental hazards, particularly during the hottest and driest time of the year.
But we also believe that there are a number of factors that need to be carefully considered when making such a major decision with only 9 days remaining prior to the commencement of this annual event.
Rainbow Serpent Festival is the home thousands of people each year return to without fail, celebrating the past year and celebrating the coming year with old and new friends alike. The gathering has grown over its 15 years of existence, developing a framework where a cross cultural exchange between a wide spectrum of social demographics can occur.
Rainbow Serpent Festival generates a very significant amount of revenue for the surrounding local communities, as well as for the community that comes together to make Rainbow Serpent Festival one of the most highly regarded Music and Lifestyle Festivals in World.
Amongst the estimated 15,000 people who will come together for Rainbow Serpent Festival 2013 there is a large proportion of performers, musicians, artists, caterers, audio visual experts amongst a plethora of others who are reliant upon this gathering occurring each year for their financial livelihood.
It will be a complete travesty if an amicable resolution cannot be reached. Such an impasse will most likely signify the end of an important economic and cultural event.
WE THE PEOPLE LOVE AND ADORE OUR RAINBOW SERPENT FESTIVAL!
Originally a melodic Goth rock band, The Beautiful Nothing is an electronica band from Morgantown, WV, currently consisting of Hayden Divine. The focus of the band is to touch hearts and save lives. We are a very fan oriented band. Love is our message and we love you!!!
In 2002, Hayden Divine created The Beautiful Nothing. In 2012, with Chris Nice on guitar, they released "Hope, Love and Lies", an acoustic full length. After Chris left the band to focus on his family, Hayden decided to change to electronic. The message of the band is hope. Very active against suicide, bullying and discrimination, Hayden seeks to help people who struggle with suicide and depression just like him. The Beautiful Nothing is and always will be a fan driven band. In 2012 Hayden sparked a friendship with Blood On The Dance Floor front man Dahvie Vanity and the 2 seek to make a difference in the world by fighting against hate using their art as their weapon. The ultimate dream of The Beautiful Nothing is to becoming a Dark Fantasy artist.
We are music for the misfits, the brokenhearted, the outcasts, the martyrs, the lonely, and the lost. It's okay to be fucked up; here are people just as fucked up as you. Mission: FUCK FAME!!! We are in this to help others the way our favorite music or songs that touched our lives did. Just keep your faith and believe in all that you make. Creating a place for you to escape to is the most important goal to us. We want to save lives and touch hearts so that if one person comes up and says that our music has helped them then life is complete.
15. Kennedy Center Honor for Maurice White and EW&F
Maurice White, musician and founder of perhaps the greatest band of all time, Earth Wind & Fire has contributed more to the popular music culture of today than perhaps any other person of his time.
Rising from a session drummer to member of the famed Ramsey Lewis Trio, Maurice White's greatest influence on the American music landscape happened after he formed the group that would later be known around the world as Earth Wind & Fire.
16. Bring One Direction to Ireland
They are always in America. Bring one direction to Ireland!
17. Get No Limits on Vans Warped 2014!
Get No Limits on Vans Warped 2014!
We know, we know, 2014 is such a long time. But since No Limits has a short-long delay in releasing anything. They think 2014 will be a GREAT time to have everything ready to tour! They would do ANYTHING to get on Vans Warped no matter what the circumstances are! (Except sleeping with people. That's a no-no.)
They love music very much and their dreams are to be on Vans Warped and fill their career choices!
18. PROPOSAL FOR 'THE CRYSTAL' LIVE ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
WE ARE PROPOSING THAT THE FORMER BALLROOM KNOWN TO MANY AS 'THE CRYSTAL' OR 'TIFFANY'S' IS RE-OPENED TO PROVIDE TRADITIONAL THEMED EVENTS SUCH AS; LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, MODERN JIVE, BALLROOM DANCING, THEMED 70's & 60's NIGHTS ETC, AIMED PRIMARILY AT THE OVER 30's AGE GROUP.
RECENT PROPOSALS TO DEVELOP THE SITE NOW SEEM UNLIKELY AND AS A RESULT, THE BUILDING COULD CONTINUE TO FALL INTO DISREPAIR. PREVIOUS INTERVIEWS WITH THE SENTINEL AND SIGNAL RADIO HAVE NOW RESULTED IN THE OWNERS CONSIDERING THIS PROPOSAL.
19. Sputnik Contributor Position
I've been spending time on Sputnikmusic making consistently high-quality reviews and contributing more than ever.
I feel I'm ready to be promoted to the position of Contributor after three years of being a user and numerous band and article contributions, as well as being featured a few times for reviews of new artists' work.
20. Support a Christian music fest in Coconut Creek, FL
For citizens of South FL, the closest Christian music festivals there have ever been are Rock the Universe at Universal Orlando and Night of Joy at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
There are too many fests that are completely out-of-state, including Sonshine Fest in Minnesota, Alive Fest in Ohio, and Uprise Fest in Pennsylvania.
21. WIMUST – Access and Equal Opportunities for Women in the Performing Arts
Women represent 50% of those working in the performing arts, yet 89% of European arts institutions are directed by men.
The European Parliamentary Resolution, 10 March 2009, regarding Equal treatment and Access for men and women in the Performing arts, underlines that inequalities in career prospects and opportunities between women and men in this field are very much present and persistent, and insists that equality between men and women should be available for all players in the performing arts sector, in all disciplines, structures (production, broadcasting and teaching) and activities (artistic, technical and administrative).
Women dedicate time and energy to achieve individual goals, with enormous personal, social and financial sacrifices and are victims of a system that resists all possible forms of change. They are subject to discriminatory behaviour in selection and appointment procedures and access to cultural institutions, academies and universities, means of production and promotion and broadcast networks in all disciplines.
Talent alone is not sufficient for the artistic quality of a performance or success of a career leaving skills and talents unexploited, damaging artistic dynamism, influence and economic development and depriving the arts of talent and skills.
Regular contact with the public is necessary for recognition, and it is, therefore, essential to increase the presence of works created by women in programming, collections, publishing and consultation.
THEREFORE: We invite EU Member States to:
a) analyse and fight mechanisms producing inequalities or discrimination in the performing arts.
b) remove obstacles to women accessing top positions in cultural institutions, universities and accademie.
c) confirm that equal work by men and women must be matched by identical pay.
d) produce comparative analyses and statistics of the current situation in the arts to facilitate design and implementation of common policies so that progress is achieved.

22. The Jay Lindsey Recording Contract Petition
Jay Lindsey is an incredible R&B singer/songwriter who's talent is simply pure genius. He has been in pursuit of a record deal for many years, but in the music industry, more often than not, it's not a matter of what you know, but who you know.
Jay Lindsey has been singing since the tender age of 4, starting in the church with his family gospel group, "God's Chosen," lead by his mother, Reverend Sandra David. This amazing artist later ventured to New York City, where he was noticed by rap legend Big Daddy Kane, who took Jay Lindsey under his wing, and put him in the music video for Kane's single, "Hold It Down." He would go on to be noticed by the likes of fellow R&B artist Tyrese, who calls him "The Truth," Dru-Hill member, Jazz, as well as multi-platinum group 112, who took to twitter to label Jay Lindsey as BOLD, AUTHENTIC, CREATIVE, and HEARTFELT, after they heard his song, "Last Words Before Suicide."
In a way, Jay Lindsey is somewhat reminiscent of the late great R&B legend, Donny Hathaway, because of the pain that he intertwines between his lyrics and melodies. Other songs, such as "4 A Long Time," which is the first cover song Jay Lindsey ever did, showcases some of Jay Lindsey's vocal abilities. This extraordinary talented artist has endured homelessness, slept in abandoned buildings, sung on the streets of Hollywood Blvd in the cold and rain on many occasions, and more... all for his dream of being an official professionally signed recording artist. Jay Lindsey may not have a huge fan base at the moment. Due to limited resources, this artist has not been able to make a professional music video, or promote his music like he would like to, but his talent speaks volumes, and quite simply... the kid is good. He knows his music, and deserves a shot. This talent cannot keep going un-noticed, so today we come to you, the people.
We're asking you to stand with us in our fight to help this talented artist dream of finally securing a record deal, a true reality. Please go to You Tube. Once your there, type in "Jay Lindsey Campaign," and listen to that song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_I9ThhOWmc Then type in "Jay Lindsey Last Words Before Suicide," and hear that song as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yOAVYkdD0U
The one thing you'll immediately notice is this artist remarkable talent. You can stand with us today, by signing this petition. It's time for us to love one another. It's time for us to help one another. Let's help Jay Lindsey's dream become a reality. These signatures will be seen by the Interscope Records, and many other "green lighters" in the music industry. We thank you in advance, and may God continue to bless you all.
23. SAVE OUR HERITAGE & SAY 'NO' TO MCDONALD’S
An inn, the "Tumble Down Dick" has been present on the Farnborough Road since the 17th Century, with connections to Richard Cromwell, and being the central focus of the town before its 20th century development.Since the closure of The Tumbledown Dick Hotel in 2008, the current owners have allowed the pub to fall into a terrible state of disrepair and we have now discovered the pub has been sold to McDonald's Restaurants!
24. Build a Performing Arts Center at Stetson University
Stetson University has a nationally recognized music program that sends its students to some of the most prestigious graduate music programs in the country.
We have distinguished international faculty, and world-class orchestras, symphonic bands, and choirs. But, we have no real performance space. The renovated Chapel that we currently use is a beautiful space, but it is far too small for most of our ensembles. The orchestra is forced to use stage extensions, which cut audience capacity by more than 100 seats, and operas are often performed off-site at the local high school.
Furthermore, since the closing of Stover Theater, the theater department has been forced to move off-site as well, to the Museum of Florida Art. These off-site options are costing the University money, both in rental costs, and in loss of prospective students that might choose to attend music or theater programs with a large performance space. Also, the University has no large auditorium to use for school-wide presentations and orientation activities.
A performing arts center would give the entire University a place to offer lectures and presentations that is large enough to accommodate most of the student body, and that is equipped with the technology that our guest lecturers are accustomed to at other universities. All of Stetson's performers - be they musicians or thespians, public speakers or presenters, students or faculty - deserve a space to call their own, that is worthy of their talent and that can fully support their artistic and academic endeavors.
Most importantly, a performing arts center would be a much needed addition to the Stetson and Deland communities as a whole. Having a space large enough for distinguished lecture series and large university gatherings, such as convocation or graduation, would so greatly amplify our sense of community. A performing arts center would give all of our students, faculty, staff, and guests a place to commune in celebration of our wonderful university.
25. Let Lady Gaga perform in South Africa
People want to stop Lady Gaga from performing in South Africa.
There are many people who want to see her, otherwise they would not have bought her tickets.
26. Bring back Jillian Jensen to live shows on X-Factor
Jillian Jensen was eliminated from the competition en route to the lives shows on Fox's TV show X-Factor.
She is a very talented singer, sings with passion, but most importantly, had the courage to stand on stage and go for her dreams even though she was severely bullied in middle school and high school.
Jillian deserves to advance to the live shows based on her passion and courage alone, never mind the fact that she has a unique voice and pours her heart into every word that she sings.
This wouldn’t be unprecedented on X-Factor as last year Simon Cowell, the producer and judge on X-Factor, brought back Melanie Amaro to the live shows and she ended up winning the overall competition.
Here is a link to one of her songs (she played the background music as well):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BS4euxjfmw
Update: Hey Jillian Jensen fans! You can do 3 MORE things right now in addition to signing this petition to help bring Jillian back! Join the Cause, sign the petition and invite your friends! Thanks so much.

27. Support for Live Music at Moto Saloon
In July of 2012, Black Market Moto Saloon applied for a Special Use Permit with the City of Charlottesville, VA to change their business zoning from Mixed Use Industrial to a Music Hall. This would allow the business to offer live, amplified music.
Charlottesville Planning Commission voted to approve this Special Use Permit with a list of restrictions to protect the neighboring residential area. On October 2nd, 2012, City Council denied the Special Use Permit, effectively ignoring the Planning Commission recommendation and the written wishes of over five hundred residents interested in the continued cultural development of Charlottesville.
The criteria given for the rejection was presented by Councilor Kathy Galvin and consisted of a very subjective interpretation of City Code and cited "non-harmonious use" and incompatibility with Charlottesville's still undeveloped Comprehensive Plan. Kathy Galvin, Dede Smith and Kristin Szakos were influenced by a small but politically outspoken group of individuals in the Woolen Mills area who consider the family friendly restaurant "adverse branding" to their neighborhood.
The standard options for recourse on this decision would be for the Moto Saloon to re-apply a year from now with another $1500 application fee. Another means would be an appeal of the decision in the Circuit Court of Charlottesville. Either way, the Moto Saloon would like your voice of support to be heard in this petition.
28. HRM, Fund Symphony Nova Scotia appropriately on an annual basis!
Currently the City of Halifax drastically underfunds its large arts organizations compared to other Cities in Canada. Recent annual grants were at approximately $18,000 for Symphony Nova Scotia compared to $500,000 in London, a similar-sized Canadian City with a similar-sized orchestra.
A City with a strong infrastructure for funding its orchestra ensures continued health of its arts community. This is a benchmark for attracting new businesses and citizens to the area. Without sufficient City funding, organizations like Symphony Nova Scotia struggle to make ends meet and cannot implement meaningful initiatives such as innovative programming and education programs for outreach to the youth of our communities.
With the huge financial gains HRM makes from having a vibrant and innovative arts community, it makes sense to create infrastructure for ongoing yearly appropriate funding that doesn't require ongoing re-application. HRM needs to fund at a level that ensures the lasting health and prosperity of such organizations as Symphony Nova Scotia, the Atlantic Film Festival, Brookes Diamond Productions, 2b Theatre Company, Dalhousie Centre for the Arts, Mermaid Theatre, Theatre Nova Scotia, Halifax Pop Explosion, Onelight Theatre, LiveArt Dance, Eastern Front Theatre, Music Nova Scotia, Neptune Theatre, Halifax Dance, Scotia Festival of Music and all local writers and publishers and visual artists.
