1961-2011. 50 years. That's how long the Minnesota Vikings have been in the Twin Cities. 2016. 5 years from now. The year the Vikings will be moved to Los Angelos is we don't build a new stadium.
Enbridge has failed to compensate the land owners for the damaged they have caused laying and maintaining their pipelines across Minnesota lands.
The damages have cost the land owners loss of income and damaged the environment. Enbridge has broken many laws and is not being held accountable. Enbridge makes many promises to the land owners, only for the land owner to find they are offering only empty promises.
There are many complaints regarding the damages that Enbridge has imposed on the Minnesota land owners, some are as follows: Left garbage on property to include wood planking, straw bales, and silt fences that were no longer in use causing damming of water and drainage issues. Mixed subsoil with top soil, whereas the top soil consists of mostly clay now.
Created situations where trenches have settled out creating ground that is now approximatley two feet lower than the surrounding land. Created wet lands in agriculture land causing crop loss. Allowed toxic hydraulic oils to escape in to the ground, and much more...
The Minnesota State Board of Cosmotology has made an unfair decision in the handling of the license of LOIS BENDZICK. Lois does Nails for Senior Residents residing at CENTENNIAL HILL SENIOR APARTMENTS, located at 820 Santa Vera Drive, Chanhassen, MN 55317. This Senior Complex was has 65 apartments.
It was built in 1996 and is owned by Carver County.
The average age of the residents exceeds 80. Many have limitations with mobility. Many don't drive a car any longer. Many used the services of Lois Bendzick.
It was convenient, very affordable and the availability and scheduling was excellent.
This unique service should, by all means, be continued.
Any alternative would make it almost impossible for us Seniors to get this service. It would require leaving the building, paying more and in some cases, involve calling a cab. It just doesn't make any sense!
In June 2007, student council leaders from each of the Fargo-Moorhead area High Schools got together and formed the Metro Student Council Ambassadors.
As a group, they wanted to do something big, something to highlight their senior year of high school. A couple of phone calls, lots of donations and few espressos later, Fill The Dome was born. The goal? Fill the entire floor of the Fargodome (80,000 sq. ft) with food for local food pantries.
This year, Fill the Dome is in its third year of operation and students are even more motivated to do something great. The goals for this years event are: 75 tons of food, $75,000, and 7,500 signatures of awareness for hunger.

In 2007, several men were charged with violating the Neutrality Act, which prohibits Americans from interfering with foreign governments. This included the long-revered General Vang Pao, former Army Lt. Col. Harrison Jack, Lo Cha Thao, Lo Thao, Youa True Vang, Hue Vang, Chong Vang Thao, Seng Vue, Chue Lo, and Nhia Kao Vang. They also are charged with conspiring to export the machine guns and other weapons without a license from the U.S. State Department, and conspiring to kill and maim people and damage property in a foreign country.
Although we rejoiced when hearing the prosecution has dropped charges against General Vang Pao, due to insufficient evidence against him, charges still remain for the other men. Two more men, Jerry Yang and Thomas Yang were added to the list. Former CIA Chief William Colby has also criticized the charges by stating the government should have taken more time to evaluate the evidences before taking action that a threat was imminent.
The superseding indictment says the 12 defendants plotted to buy nearly $10 million in weapons from an undercover agent from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive to equip a mercenary force intent on overthrowing the communist government of Laos.
Why you should sign the petition?
Evidence demonstrates that government agents in this case made false statements and material omissions in their sworn affidavits, which have fundamentally mischaracterized the defendants’ alleged conduct – the Prosecution repeated many of those misstatements, even while they held clear and irrefutable evidence. This violates the due process clause—requiring this Case be DISMISSED!
1. MISCONDUCT: Agents fabricated supposedly incriminating exchanges between the undercover ATF agent and General Vang Pao which appear nowhere on the tape recording of the single occasion on which they met and they (Agents/Prosecutors) failed to mention that the General assailed the idea of an insurgency in Laos, forbade anyone to participate in such a plan, and forbid more violence in Laos.
REALITY: On 9/18/09, the Prosecution dropped all charges against General Vang Pao due to lack of evidence.
2. MISCONDUCT: In sworn affidavits, Prosecution repeated the case started when one defendant contacted a “defense contractor” and tried to purchase weapons.
REALITY: Evidence shows the man contacted was an “acquaintance” NOT a “defense contractor.” This man was NOT involved in arms sales in any way. He was an inventor of “kinetically charged” water.
3. MISCONDUCT: Government Agent claimed defendants created plans to overthrow Lao Government.
REALITY: The Government Agent encouraged and orchestrated an Offensive Action in Laos. Defendants demonstrated an inability to concoct even a rudimentary plan…so the Government Agent directed the “scheme” himself.

We, The Undersigned, wish to note a child’s right for parental presence during critical care. We kindly request an emergency release of federal inmate, Brandon Bauknecht from the Sandstone, Minnesota facility.
Two year old, Hayden Bauknecht excitedly attended a birthday party at the local aquatic center on March 15, 2009. Many heard his laughter and saw his innocent care-free life as he played. His childlike faith assured him that he would always remain safe. Yet, faith failed the naive child. The party came to a devastating halt when the toddler’s playful body was found motionless in the pool. Breathless and silent, he was transported to the pediatric intensive care unit in Marshfield, where he remains in critical condition.

Before reading this story please click on the link above and view the WCCO channel 4 story done on Noraas and Gorman for Valentines Day 2006.
My name is Bridget Gorman and our family has nominated the Noraas family originally from Faribault, MN, for ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
Erik and Heidi Noraas live in Big Lake, MN, and have 3 children, ages 15, 10 & 5. When their youngest son was 10 days old he was diagnosed with meningitis, which left him mentally disabled and requiring a lot of extra needs and help.
2 years later after this devastating news, Erik Noraas was shipped overseas to Bosnia.
Almost simultaneously Heidi was diagnosed with cancer. She will return to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, this week for two days for tests.
Erik has returned and retired after 20 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard in September of 2005. Two weeks later Heidi read a story about Martin Gorman and his need for a kidney transplant. She called her husband and told him of the story.
Donating a kidney had always been something Eric had wanted to do. The Noraas family contacted Martin Gorman about his need for a transplant. The men met and spoke and questioned each other's concerns. And decided to move forward to see if it was medically possible.
From that point Erik went through many tests at the U of MN to see if he would be a compatible match for Martin. Surprised all signs appeared to be good and they could move ahead with the procedure. This was a huge relief to Martin and me as he had been on dialysis for 7 years.
One year ago on February 15th, 2006, Erik Noraas donated one of his kidneys to my husband. It has been a year and both Erik and my husband, Martin, are doing very well.
The Noraas home is desperately in need of an Extreme Makeover. They have no room in the 1100 sq ft home for their family and son's additional help. They enjoy and welcome all friends and family in their home. In the past they have helped many people in times of need with a place to stay. There home is in need of some repairs, rotting windows and doors, unfinished rooms and floors the house also has a huge moisture problem. This may explain why the Noraas family has such trouble with sickness in the home.
Again, their son who is in ongoing speech and occupational therapy desperately needs more space so that they may improve his therapy at a more reasonable pace. Which Extreme Home Editions would be able to provide for him at home.
The Noraas also have friends who are in wheel chairs and enjoy bringing them out to their home. Unfortunately, making it very difficult for their son and friends to access the house, as there are no true ramps for them to enter the home.
Both Erik and Heidi work full time jobs and manage their family life 24/7 as many do these days. Sadly though, the two older children are often pushed aside as their 5-year-old brother takes a lot of time. Where as if they had more room and help Erik and Heidi could give more attention to the others that need their affection as well.
The house is small but is also in need of repair. The windows have rotten away. As a result of that they are dealing with some health issues from the mold growing in the windows. The children are suffering from many ear and upper repertory issues and have undergone many surgeries to repair their ears after holes have been left behind after having tubes. Their daughter, age 10; will soon be having another surgery in hopes to fix the ear she is having difficulty hearing out of.
We feel that this family has been put through enough and we would like for them to have a home that will better manage their busy schedule. They are such a deserving family and obvious believers, who still answered the door to a stranger who called out for help, after all the cards they’d been dealt and their daily struggles.
THIS ENTIRE STORY WAS HEAVEN SENT AND TRULY GOD'S HAND!
The Johnson family of Duluth, MN, who have been living in the basement of their home to keep warm, need your support in bringing Ty Pennington and the gang to Duluth to build them a new home of their own in a remarkable seven days on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

A petieion protesting the six period day change at Highland. We are protesting the six period day change for many reasons which include Less class time with teachers, more time in hallways, being stuck with teachers for a year that ay not be good for some students.
Also protesting the underhandness of
the talking about the change without informing students and parents of the change and basically making it offical without having discusssins on it
with the studdents involved or asking what the students think .

15. Fire Mike Tice
October 3, 2005
At the end of the 2002 season, Mike Tice was hired as the interim Head Coach of the Minnesota Vikings. After the season, instead of searching for a coach that had experience as either a head coach or a coordinator at any level, former Vikings owner Red McCombs decided that saving money and going with the inexperienced and underqualified Mike Tice was a better option that finding a qualified candidate.
After 3 and 1/4 seasons, Tice has a record of 24 wins and 28 losses, 3 seasons without a winning record, and only one postseason appearance. However, to start a 2005 season that had much promise, Tice has led the Vikings to a 1-3 start, in which the team has been outscored 91-31 in their losses, all of which have been by 11 points or more.
Many of the problems that were present when Tice took over the team still remain despite a massive turnover in roster, leading many to believe that the biggest deficiency in the team is the head coach.
16. Warroad Warriors
Saulteaux Tribe of the Anishinabe in Warroad
This is our petition for federal recognition as an injustice was done to our Tribe on June 24, 1905. Instead of getting federal recognition we received individual allotments.
We were fully functional as a Government with our own Chief and Council. Chief Aye-Ash-A-Wash signed a treaty to keep Buffalo Point, which is part of our territory and now is in Canada just five miles from Warroad, Minnesota. He was recognized as Chief and as an Indian in Canada. The United States Government did not recognize him as an Indian or Chief. When the patents arrived in Warroad, Nah-May-Puck was our Chief.
We need federal recognition because it would be the right thing to do. We need to correct an injustice that took place here in the United States. Our Tribe was called the Saulteaux Tribe of the Ojibway Indians.
Please help us get the much-needed recognition, as federal recognition would bring millions of federal dollars into the surrounding communities including Warroad, Roseau and Baudette in Minnesota.
Federal recognition would also bring Indian Health Services, Economic Development and education dollars for all of it's members.
The following will receive the petition: Senator Mark Dayton, Senator Norm Coleman, and Senator Collin Peterson.
My name is Anne L. Halverson. I am a 21-yr-old mother of a one-year-old son, Aidan. I take motherhood very seriously and I take my employment seriously. In order to be employed and provide the best childcare environment for my son, I rely on a state funded child care subsidy. That means, based on my income, I pay a percentage of my son's child care expenses and the State of Minnesota subsidizes rest.
My son thrives at his day care center, Noah's Ark, in Hopkins, MN. He is cared for by well trained providers who, like me, want him to meet his growth milestones, be happy and well adjusted, understand about sharing, learn about tolerance, and be prepared for kindergarten. My son and I also rely on state subsidized health care. His pediatric clinic monitors his growth, advises me about his medical needs and has helped me become a confident parent. I know how fortunate we are to live in a state that values children by providing these opportunities.
Minnesota's governor, Tim Pawlenty, has proposed a budget that will slash child-care and health care subsidies for single mothers like me and our children. Without the aid of these subsidies, I will be forced to quit my job, surrender my opportunities to advance in the workforce, stay home full time with my child and apply for welfare benefits.
If you believe in and support mothers with young children who want their children in safe, regulated childcare centers; women who are proud to be part of Minnesota's workforce, please sign this petition.
I will present this petition when I speak before a Minnesota Senate Committee that is convening on Tuesday, February 22, at the Minnesota State Capital.
Anne L. Halverson

The Bear Interest Group is working for an Ethical balance between Humans, Bears, and the Environment. This petition is to The Honorable Governor Jesse Ventura, Minnesota State Senators and House Representatives.
Please show your support by signing this petition to restrict Hunting to AFTER Labor Day in September, and before Fishing Opener in May !
It is high time that Minnesota initiates No Hunting during our Peak Tourism Season, to keep our summer time free from worry !
Summer is vacation time in Minnesota with Millions of tourists, 850,000 students out of school, and thousands of families visiting summer cabins.
Many people feel uncomfortable in the forest alongside hunters. Too many people have been mistaken for game, or hit by stray bullets. See our hunting accident report at www.BearInterestGroup.com.
In the year 2000, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) moved Bear Season Opener from September 1st to August 22nd. Hunting is increasing in summer and is particularly dangerous because leafy vegetation obscures visibility but does not stop bullets. Tourists need to be warned that over 20,000 bear hunters, some of them novices as young as twelve, will be sitting in the woods wearing camouflage, obscured by leaves, and carrying high-powered rifles. No one is required to wear orange.
Unsuspecting tourists may indeed be wearing black or brown.
Bullets can travel hundreds of yards through leaves and miles through the air.
Currently, hunting in Minnesota is conducted all 12 months of the year. During the summer, the animals being hunted are crow, fox and raccoon. Now add bear. These animals could easily be harvested with better pelts, during the other nine months of the year.
Our Bill will help all animals that need quiet summers to raise their young. When gun shots ring through the air, animals go on the run ! They are deprived of sufficient food and are denied the opportunity to teach their young how to survive.
We support hunting in the fall after the Labor Day weekend, but during the warm months we support safety for the millions of tourists and residents who want to enjoy Minnesota's vacationland without worry.
We, at the Bear Interest Group (BIG), have met with the DNR four times, to try to understand their position and learned that the DNR has no plan to mitigate the danger. They have not mentioned any plans to put up signs to warn tourists that hunters are in the woods during this time, and they are not requiring anyone to wear blaze orange.
Most tourists and residents are unaware that bear season opens this early.
This change also effects the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Yes, bear hunting is allowed in the BWCAW.
This change in the hunting season enables hunters to Shoot Big Game in the BWCAW with Shot Guns, Rifles and Pistols starting August 23rd and for the following 7 weeks of the Bear Season.
Boat Motors' are NOT allowed, but Guns are !!
You need to be informed of this significant change in the Hunting Season dates. Once you know, then it becomes your choice to be outdoors during the hunting seasons !
BIG has spent two years researching the economical, environmental, and safety concerns of allowing hunting during the summer and we are finding strong support among the public and the legislature for our bill. Nevertheless, the DNR is unwilling to delay the opening of bear hunting to after Labor Day. If the DNR is correct that there is a growing bear population, the reason they stated for issuing the early opener, there are other ways to control bears without threatening public safety.
