The BreedeValley SPCA is facing a major crisis. The National SPCA wants them to close their doors on the 10th of May 2013 already. Gerda Du Toit has launched a petition to stop this from happening.
The second request is to help the SPCA lower their debt. If you could find it in your heart to spare some money to help them, their bank details are:

If you know of a company (or own a company) who can perhaps sponsor a bit more, I'm sure the SPCA would be eternally greatful as will all the animals they help.
Once the Breedevallei SPCA closes its doors and there is no one to take care of all those animals and we finally realise what all they did, I don't want to be one of those people who says: "I wish someone had done something" when I can be one of those people now.
2. The US Needs a Hello Kitty Magazine 
Many countries and regions other than the US have Hello Kitty magazines and we feel that the US could use one.

Getuigenissen van gedupeerden komen steeds meer binnen, worden doorgestuurd, maar daar houdt het dan wel op.
Dergelijke praktijken MOETEN stoppen.
Het kan niet dat aan de kopers steeds weer zieke dieren verkocht worden. FOD moet DRINGEND ingrijpen en zich niet blijven verschuilen achter de wetgeving!
Daarom roepen we iedereen op om mee te helpen om dergelijke praktijken te stoppen.
4. No more animals in pet stores. Bannir la vente des animaux en animalerie
Please sign below to put an end to the sale of cats and dogs in Greater Montreal area pet stores. Toronto just passed a law to the same end. Over 500 dogs were recently seized from one puppy mill in Clarendon, QC where they suffered under extreme inhumane conditions.
The time has come for Quebec to address the problem of rampant inhumane animal mills and pet overpopulation. Pet stores are the mills' number one customer. STOP them from sponsoring horribly cruel practices!

5. Create Cat Laws in Australia
There are currently NO cat laws in Australia.
Cats a getting out of control.
They destroy our native wildlife, wander the streets, getting into garbage, Breed excessively, fight with other cats, males 'spray' in other people's yards to mark their territory from other cats, even if that person does not own a cat or dog. They run across people's roofs & fight.
They are also a danger to themselves, by running across roads, getting attacked by dogs, getting trapped in small confined spaces or up trees & power poles.
Irresponsible owners allow the cats to wander, fail to have them desexed & quite often own a large number of cats, well in excess of over 2 or 3 cats. When this occurs, the odor of cat urine on the property or neighbouring properties is disgusting & annoying, they fight in neighbours yards, kill birds & other small animals & become a nuisance to everyone.
Cats are not required to be licensed. There are no cat laws for a cat that is constantly noisy or meows a lot or if a cat is mistreated.
The animal laws in Australia are way out of date, far behind & need updating to include cats.
Thousands of cats become strays, are run over on busy roads or are put to sleep every day.
ONLY IF YOU LIVE IN AUSTRALIA, & you believe there should be laws for cats, then please sign this petition.
6. Stop the site of Bonsai Kittens!
Bonsai describes the ancient Japanese art of growing miniature trees by rigorous pruning of their roots and branches. Because of their small size, aesthetic appeal, and minimal upkeep requirements, Bonsai trees have long been popular additions to offices and homes.
In late 2000 the website bonsaikitten.com debuted. It described how to apply the same Bonsai principles to kittens. The idea was to seal kittens inside glass containers. As they grew (fed and watered through a tube), the bones of the cats would supposedly conform to the shape of whatever container held them. At the end of the process a uniquely shaped ‘Bonsai Kitten’ would emerge—sure to be the envy of all.
“You no longer need be satisfied with a house pet having the same mundane shape as all other members of its species,” the site declared. “With Bonsai Kitten a world of variation awaits you, limited only by your own imagination.” The site also advertised that hand-grown Bonsai Kittens were available for sale to the public.
The site contained numerous, over-the-top details designed to provoke. (WARNING: the squeamish might want to skip this paragraph.) For instance, it described the soft, springiness of kitten bones, claiming that “if you take a week-old kitten and throw it to the floor, it will actually bounce!” It also provided nauseating details involving super glue and plastic tubes for dealing with waste removal: “as the kitten’s body is still developing, a natural rectal diverticulum will soon form around the tube.”
Finally, it offered the disturbing reminder that one should remember to drill an airhole for the kitty. This site was proved as a hoax but still the website remains open.

Ever since forming, twisted kitten have had the dream of playing at a festival and there isn't a festival more suitable for their mix of pop, hip hop, drum and bass and just generally damn fine feel good tunes and nonsense like the Secret Party.

8. Clemency For Stray Dogs and Cats
July 31, 2006
It is hereby requested for the immediate consideration of the future of stray dogs and cats.
With stray dogs and cats' complete concern and welfare considered it is hereby requested for the state of Missouri to mandate for ALL person(s) to be required to be responsible for their pet(s). This to be accomplished by the following:
(1) To list on yearly personal property in each county the total number of dogs, puppies, cats, kittens. For each dog, puppy, cat, kitten spayed/neutered, personal property tax WILL BE EXEMPT. Each dog, puppy, cat, kitten NOT spayed/neutered will be assessed personal property tax of 5 per cent of total personal property.
NOTE: This tax will be placed in a special fund to be used by city pounds/county shelters/humane societies to spay/neuter their strays.
END RESULT - Future strays will not be born to end up alongside country roads to die or to breed with other strays. City Pounds, shelters/humane societies will not be overrun with these unwanted strays.
Bonsai kitten is an organzation that gives and sells things to and tells people how to put cats in jars.
It is despicable and disgusting.
