WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, ARE CONCERNED CITIZENS WHO URGE OUR LEADERS TO ACT NOW TO IMPLEMENT CITY ORDINANCES REGARDING ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF ALL ANIMALS WITHIN CITY LIMITS.
THE CITY OF GRACE ORDINANCES CURRENTLY DO NOT ADDRESS ANY NEGLECT OR ABUSE OF ANIMALS AND IS VERY VAGUE. IDAHO STATE LEGISLATION STATUTE TITLE 25, CLEARLY STATES THE DEFINITION OF CRUELTY AND NEGLECT TO ANIMALS.
WE BELIEVE THE CITY OF GRACE SHOULD ABIDE BY IDAHO STATUTE AND ENFORCE ANY VIOLATIONS COMMITTED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS REGARDING NEGLIGENCE AND CRUELTY.
2. Allow Rigby City Residents to Raise Urban Chickens 
We are requesting that our City Council amend the current city code and allow the people of Rigby Idaho to keep up to 6 chickens.
This change to the city code would add many benefits to the city of Rigby and it's citizens.
1. Health benefits: Chicken eggs are a great source of protein. Families with chickens also have a better understanding of where their food comes from and will be able to healthfully feed their family at a lower cost to themselves. Neighbors of families with chickens will benefit too from extra eggs.
2. Yard benefits: Chickens eat garden pests, and their waste is an excellent fertilizer.
3. Community benefits: A city that allows chickens are helping its' residents be more self-sufficient. This attitude of self-sufficiency increases pride in one's home, family and the community overall. A city with a progressive attitude towards local sustainability is a city many can be proud to call home and others will want to live in.
Many cities are changing their codes to allow chickens. Some examples are: Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston Texas, Topeka Kansas, Denver Colorado, New York City, New York, Las Vegas, Nevada, Los Angeles California and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Misconceptions about chickens and their impact on a community:
1. Chickens are too loud. Actually, chickens are quieter than dogs or even songbirds. The exception of course are roosters. We propose that the keeping of roosters be prohibited once an owner knows if a chick is a rooster.
2. Cleanliness: There could be concerns that chickens are smelly or dirty. We propose that the number of chickens allowed be limited to 6 and that each chicken must have a minimum of space (4 feet per chicken) in a clean enclosed henhouse with a fully fenced outdoor enclosure. Chickens who are not crowded and who have a clean henhouse and outdoor space do not smell bad.
3. Cost to the city: There may be concerns that people won't care for their chickens and the city will have to pay to dispose of unkempt chickens. By limiting the number of hens allowed, those who want chickens paying for a license through the city and a city compliance officer who is allowed to regularly inspect henhouses. If any chickens are not being cared for the city (by use of their compliance officer or other authorized agent) will have the authority to cite owners for lack of care. Then only those who truly want to be responsible stewards of their chickens will own them in the city.

$163.7B - cost of educated k-12 ILLEGAL Immigrant Children.
$24.3B - cost of incarceration of ILLEGALS.
11.6M - Number of skilled jobs provided to ILLEGALS.
Several thousands of senseless deaths could have been prevented if our federal, state and local law enforcement would enforce our immigration laws and secure the border.
4. Support Hookah Lounge After Hours
The City Of Twin Falls Only Allows the Down Town Area to be open Until 10p.m. As entertainment we have the Hookah Lounge for Social gatherings. Most of our clients are relieved from there daily duties after hours.
Most of our clients Prefer an environment where there is no Alcohol or cigarette smoking. Any location that is open after 10 p.m either sells alcohol or cigarettes, for example ( the bowling alley, Bars etc), we are a stricter and offer a safe environment for 18 and older crowd.
At BYU Idaho, a school owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints, curfew is taken very seriously.
Many times people will be sent to the dean of students for breaking curfew by just a few minutes. BYU Utah, also owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints, has no curfew when it comes to students being out of their houses or apartments.
One reason, among others, why curfew has become a problem in BYU Idaho, is the fact that the students who wish to use the library after hours cannot. Many students have classes in the morning, jobs in the afternoon, and are unable perform at their best level, because the library closes so early.
Many students feel this way and wish to change curfew or eliminate it all together.
6. Getting rid of Idaho as a State
The State of Idaho is quite lacking in being up to date with the times. Today 2/7/07 they have destroyed the bill that would index minimum wage with inflation. Furthermore all the roads in the state are messed up....trying to expand in too little time. Public transportation is a major issue especially for people without licenses, because we can't get to work or whereever we need without worrying about getting pulled over.

8. Support for the Nampa Development Redevelopment Plan
Goal and Purpose of Plan: Generate funds to invest in needed public infrastructure and facility projects which will stimulate commercial and industrial private investment to increase property tax base, create jobs and support Nampa’s future economic development.
The projects to be funded by the plan: Library, North Nampa Industrial Infrastructure, Public Safety Building, Nampa Caldwell Boulevard Improvements, Franklin Blvd Right-of-Way, & Freeway Interchange Improvements.

10. Stop Sending Prisoners Out Of State In Idaho

Idaho prisons are severely overcrowded.
Instead of sending our prisoners out of state and costing taxpayers thousands of dollars we need to reevaluate our sentencing procedures.
Instead of sending people to prison for minor probation and parole violations such as dirty UA we need to look towards rehabilitation instead.
If we released all of the first time parole violators with non-violent crimes, there would be no need to send any of our prisoners out of state.

עצומה למאבק בהומופוביה במערכת החינוך
ב-17 במאי 2006 יצוין היום הבינ"ל למאבק בהומופוביה - לסבופוביה - ביפוביה - וטרנספוביה, לראשונה גם בישראל, לצד כ-50 מדינות ברחבי העולם.
בתאריך זה בשנת 1990 הוסרה ההומוסקסואליות מרשימת ההפרעות הנפשיות ע"י ארגון הבריאות העולמי. אמנם ההומוסקסואליות אינה ברשימת ההפרעות, אך ההומופוביה רחוקה מלהיעלם, ופניה רבות ומכוערות.
ראוי שנושא המאבק בהומופוביה יימצא בסדר היום הציבורי בקנה מידה נרחב.
בכך חשיבותו של יום זה, כסמל למאבק שנעשה בכל יום ולאורך כל השנה.
הנושא בו בחרנו להתמקד השנה הוא ההומופוביה במערכת החינוך בישראל.
ארגונים ומתנדביםות שוניםות פועלים בכל השנה לצמצום תופעת ההומופוביה גם במערכת החינוך אך אין בכך די.
מחקרים שונים שהתפרסמו בשנים האחרונות מצביעים על מצוקה בקרב תלמידים ותלמידות אשר מתלבטים לגבי מיניותם/ן ומגדרם/ן.
בשנה שעברה (2005) עלו הנתונים הבאים לאור מחקרי שטח:
30% מכלל ניסיונות התאבדות של בני נוער קשורים לנטייה מינית ולשונות מגדרית.
64% מהתלמידים מדווחים על הטרדה מילולית בתדירות כלשהי על רקע נטייה מינית ושונות מגדרית.
24% מכלל התלמידים מדווחים על פגיעה פיזית על רקע זה.
76% מהתלמידים דיווחו שהמורים עצמם נוכחים בשעת השמעת הערות הומופוביות ולרוב לא עושים דבר.
אנו מאמינים ומאמינות כי יש להדגיש את המסר החיובי (בעד הבנה, סובלנות, פלורליזם) מתוך תפישה לפיה רוב גילויי ההומופוביה נובעים מבורות ומפחד ולא רק משנאה גרידא.
על ידי עידוד סדנאות ושיחות עם תלמידים במסגרת יום המאבק תשלח לבתי ספר שונים חוברת מיוחדת של סיפורים אישיים ונתונים הנוגעים להומופוביה בארץ ובעולם.
בעצומה זו ובמסגרת יום המאבק הבינלאומי בהומופוביה אנו קוראים וקוראות השנה לשר/ת החינוך הבא/ה לקדם את המאבק להפחתת ההומופוביה במערכת החינוך ולהגברת החינוך לסובלנות. אנו מאמיניםות שרק על ידי חינוך לסובלנות ניתן יהיה להשיג תוצאות אמיתיות בטווח הארוך. לכן אנו קוראים וקוראות לשר/ת החינוך -
* להקציב שעות חינוך ללימודי מגדר וזהות מינית.
* להקים נציבות למאבק בהומופוביה ולקדם חלוקת חומרים אנטי-הומופוביים בבתי ספר.
* להעביר מערכים בנושאי הומופוביה על פניה השונות והרבות למורות ולמורים.
* להלחם באלימות בית ספרית גם על רקע הומופובי/טרנספובי/ביפובי ולסבופובי.
* להגיש בקשה רשמית במשרד החינוך על מנת לציין את ה17 במאי בכל בתי הספר החל בשנה הבאה.
* לוודא שבתי הספר ומערכת החינוך הינם מקום בטוח, מקבל ומאפשר לילדים ולילדות, נערות ונערים בכל מגדר, מין, נטייה מינית.

ROBERT WAYNE JOHNS STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SHOT TO DEATH DONALD H. PRICE IN KUNA, IDAHO IN MARCH 1985.
AFTER MURDERING MR. PRICE, ROBERT W. JOHNS TRIED TO HIDE THE BODY AND ROBBED DON PRICE OF HIS IDENTIFICATION SO HE WOULD BE FOUND AS A JOHN DOE. THE ADA COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT NOTES THAT MR JOHNS WAS SEEN LAUGHING ABOUT THE MURDER AND GIVING THE THUMBS UP AFTER FLEEING THE SCENE OF THE CRIME. DONALD H. PRICE WAS 37, HE WAS A FATHER, A SON, A BROTHER, AN UNCLE AND A FRIEND. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GRANDFATHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JUNE OF 2005. THOSE OF US WHO LOVED HIM ARE LEFT WITH A VOID IN OUR LIVES THAT NOTHING CAN EVER FILL. PROTECT YOURSELVES AND YOUR LOVED ONES FROM THIS HAPPENING TO YOU.

Let Idaho be a leader in the promotion of rights and privileges of all adults in our State. With our nation at war, it brings to mind that the brave men and woman of Idaho can make the decision to put their lives on the line for the sake of the nation; it only makes sense that they can also make the decision to have a cold beer.
If one is old enough to vote for the person that ultimately decides the fates of not only the State, but of this great nation, that same person deserves to make a personal choice regarding whether or not they wish to consume a glass of chardonnay. If a person is liable for choices they make regarding laws and can be held as a "responsible adult" at the age of eighteen, then that person should have the same privilege of deciding if they would like to toast the bride at a wedding, or the newest addition to his or her own family with a glass of champagne. This is a privilege that would not only benefit the men and women of Idaho that fall under the current drinking age; it would also benefit the businesses of Idaho.
This petition is not to be taken seriously, it is just for fun. I want to get people to sign my petition saying we should change the state name of Idaho to Udaho.
18. Adding Idaho on the felony list of animal abuse
When someone abuses an animal, in Idaho, they are given a misdemeaner. But in many other states they are felonies. I believe that animals have a right and if people are so cruel that they have to hurt or kill any animal they should be given a felony. Misdemeaners are like a slap on the hand. I have done lots of research and believe that I daho should change the law of being given a stupid misdemeaner. We need to stand up for the ones (animals) who aren't able to stand up for themselves!
