Petition Tag - heavy metal
1. Avenged Sevenfold Come To Australia!!!
We've got their albums, we've got their dvd's, we love them, and we want them here in Australia again!
A7X came here in 2006 and both old and new fans want them back! They're touring USA this year, and the UK, why not come here too!
2. Blaze Bayley Australian Concert Tour
Blaze Bayley, former lead singer of British heavy metal bands Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden and now lead singer of his own band Blaze Bayley has never toured Australia.
After I contacted the band and their management about a possible future tour I have received an indication that they would like to tour the Southern Hemisphere.
As such I am running this petition to allow the band and their management to see the support they have here in Australia for a concert tour.
3. Soilwork - Petition for an All Ages Show
Soilwork All Ages Show...
The Swedish metal band Soilwork are coming to Perth in May 2008 and will be playing an 18+ show in Fremantle. The aim of this petition is to get enough signatures in order to get this 18+ show moved to an All Ages.
Soilwork are a heavy metal band thats has become very well known worldwide. As with any other bands, Soilwork have fans of all different ages and it seems unfair that the under 18 fans should miss the opportunity to see this band live.
4. We want bands like Guns N' Roses or Pink Floyd! SAY NO TO FALL OUT BOY
Ok, So'll start:
(but first remember that I'm from Argentina, where we talk Spanish, so please excuse my english).
I may be a little young, but I have listen to Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Queen, Aerosmith, etc... and I've to say they're all EXCELENT BANDS & GROUPS!
So HOW is it possible that nowadays music resumes to Avirl Lavigne, Green Day, Lily Allen (sorry), Gwen Stefani, Vanessa Hudson, Hoobastank, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, etc...?!?!?!?!
I'd really love to listen a new band with influences like Pink Floyd or something like that in MTV or MuchMusic.
Who's with me...!?! :)
5. Murderworld to play Metalstock 2007
MurderWorld are one of the heaviest, hard-working, talented, and coolest thrash bands in Australia right now.
MetalStock is one of the premier metal festivals of Australia.
Yet MurderWorld can't be seen anywhere on the festival's line-up for 2007.
With nine more acts yet to be announced, any metal fan who has a remote interest in live music and quality aggresive thrash should be hoping that MurderWorld are one of these nine bands.
6. Banning Black Metal on Ebay is Discrimination of Art
They claim that this music is hateful and derogatory and racist and so Ebay is banning the selling of Black Metal and other Extreme music.
First off, this is just music and art. A form of expression and nothing more. Who is Ebay to be the authority on what should be censored or not?
"eBay doesn't permit sellers to list items that promote or glorify hatred, violence, or racial intolerance. Items that promote organizations with such views are also prohibited."
Ok, so then why are they also not banning violent rap music, christian items, pornography, and other items gloryfying the use of drugs?
Are they going to start banning rap albums that are hateful towards whites?
FYI, the Bible techinically violates the offensive items section along with the American flag.
I'm not against Christianity, Rap music or the American Flag and with that same sentiment I see it as hypocritical to ban Black Metal music because its "offensive" when they're also selling tons and tons of merchandise that would be considered OFFENSIVE and Racist.
Overall, I am a big black metal fan and Ebay is one of the only places I can find rare album collections and merchandise that I simply cannot find at Wal-Mart or FYE and at very reasonable prices.
All I'm asking is that if Ebay is going to ban black metal because its isn't following their guidelines for business then please also ban ANYTHING that would fall under the reasons for Black Metal merchandise to be banned.
7. The Official WMA Petition To Bring Back Headbangers Ball
This is a petition to bring back Headbanger's Ball, a program which showcased heavy metal bands and aired weekly on MTV from 1987 to 1995. Since it's cancellation there has been an outcry from the metal subculture to bring it, or a similar program dedicated strictly to heavy metal, back to the airwaves.
The World Metal Alliance, founded in 1992 in order to promote and preserve heavy metal, has successfully led several conventional "hand-signed" petition drives in the past. This, our first online petition, is to let MTV know that the metal subculture is alive, growing, and hungrier than ever for a weekly TV program dedicated completely to heavy metal.
It is our hope that every metal fan on earth sign this petition and let MTV know we are here, we are many and we want metal back on TV.
8. Don't blame heavy metal artists for school shootings murders overdoses etc.
This petition is for the people who love heavy metal music and don't want it shunned from society just because of the actions of other people.
