1. Rights for Everyone's Safety on the TTC 
I was using the TTC on Sunday December 13th to get home. In the evenings (especially when it is this late, when I have bags to carry from work and when roads are slippery), I like to request the bus to pull into a quick stop between bus stops. Not only do I feel safer with my home in sight; I have shaved several minutes of walking. Usually, bus drivers are more than happy to do this, especially during the winter evenings regardless of my gender.
This time, I was abruptly reminded that this request stop was for "women only" and then the bus carried on driving (without stopping and only having one other passenger).
This is only the third time this has happened (the the driver rejected my request); however, I feel that incident should never have happened at all. I am writing to suggest that the "evening stop request" be made availble to all men, women and children travelling in the evening times and that every passenger's safety (especially in the winter time) be considered. The Toronto Transit Corporation has to believe that passengers will not abuse this opportunity; at the same time, should also believe that their employees can us their descretion whether to allow the stop or not (NOT based on gender). Being that Toronto has taken huge strides to become more inclusive and diverse in culture, ethnicity, abilities and sexuality/gender, this should be reflected in the transit system Toronto provides.
Not all women are more vulnerable to danger than men. Female riders do not pay extra fare to have their safety be protected (as people's safety should be protected for everyone). There are many individuals in Toronto who are transgendered as well. Being judged by the clothes we wear, the way we act and who we are should not be a factor in our safety when "Riding the Rocket".
With Toronto winning its bid for World Pride in 2014; I do not concede that we should take this matter lightly. For the days, weeks and months leading up to the event, Toronto will be home to many visitors from across the globe. The last thing I believe should ever happen would be for a man to be in a dire situation that could have been avoided by the opportunity to "request an evening stop".
Following the 1991 Gulf War, the United Nations mandated that Iraqi chemical, biological, nuclear, and long range missile programs be verifiably halted and all such weapons verifiable destroy. U.N weapons inspector inside Iraq were able to verify the destruction of a large amount of WMD-material, but substantial issues remained unresolved after they left Iraq in 1998 due to the lack of cooperation by the Iraqi government.
After 9/11 attacks, the president of the United States George W. Bush claimed that Saddam Hussein supported for international terrorist groups of treat to the West. He demanded a complete end to alleged Iraqi production and use of weapons of mass destruction and that Iraq comply with UN Resolutions requiring UN inspectors unfettered access to areas those inspectors thought might have weapons production facilities. During this time, before 2003 invasion of Iraq, Bush repeatedly backed demands for unfettered inspection and disarmament with treats of invasion.
Even though the government of Iraq agreed to new inspections in late 2002 and inspectors did not find any WMD stockpiles, the United States, United Kingdom, and Spain proposed another resolution on Iraq, witch they called the “ eighteenth resolution” to give Iraq a deadline to comply with previous resolution before a possible military intervention. This proposed resolution was subsequently withdrawn because not enough countries would have supported it. In particular, NATO members France and Germany, together with Russia, were opposed to a military intervention in Iraq, on the ground that it would be very risky, in terms of security, for the international community, and defended a diplomatic process of disarmament.
However, the White House had never stopped its plan which invading Iraq to achieve their “purpose”. In March 2003 the U.S. government announced that “diplomacy has failed” and that it would proceed with a coalition of allied countries, named “coalition of the willing”, to rid Iraq of its alleged weapons of mass destruction witch meant the war in Iraq was on hand.

This is a petition for all the victims of drink spiking and drug rape.
If you realised your situation in time and were able to seek safety we still need your signatures. If you were not able to do this as you didn't realise what was happening, we need your signatures too.
Hopefully this petition will be strong enough to send to parliment, to police forces, to judges and to medical staff. To make them realise just how often this crime is happening.
As the home office and police forces have no figures on this crime, it is unknown how many people have suffered in silence.

Steven Ivester was sentenced to 8 years minimum and 10 years maximum, for murdering my father. His name was Rodney Martin. Steven Iverster has not even served 3 years in prison. They want him to have work release and family visits.
Why should he be allowed to see his family when my threee sisters and I can not see our dad? It is not fair on my family's behalf for him to be allowed to leave the prison for any reason what so every, until he as served his full amount of time.
Rodney Martin was a loveing father, a great husband,and a wonderful son. He did not dersver what happened to him and nether did his family. He was a great person and had many friends. He was a long time resident of Gaston County, and was loved by almost everybody.
PLEASE HELP ME KEEP THIS MAN WHERE HE NEEDS TO BE.
5. Stop people getting away with murder behind the wheel
We lost our 12 year old daughter Hayley in a car crash on 16th March 2003. Hayley was a passenger in a vehicle and was on her way home when the accident happened. It seems that a blue peugeot 406 was driving erratically at around 80mph up the centre of the road overtaking and undertaking traffic causing it to swerve and brake heavily.
The vehicle Hayley was in was forced to brake and went into a skid which threw them into oncoming traffic and fatally injuring her and seriously injuring 5 other people.
The peugeot having seen what had happened and avoiding being involved in the collision itself stopped some 100 ft away from the site of the crash and then drove off at speed. This vehicle has not yet been traced. The law allowed us one police officer to carry out investigations into the accident and to find the driver of the peugeot.
This is ridiculous as there were over 100 statements taken which took one officer months to complete. Had my daughter been killed on the street rather than in a car there would have been a whole team of detectives working on her death and finding her killer.
If this driver is found they will be charged with causing death by dangerous driving which carries a maximum of 14 years in prison but is usually dropped to a careless driving charge whereby the death of a person is not even taken into account and the sentence is usually just a fine and sometimes a driving ban of upto 3 years.
The law needs changing to ensure that the death of a person killed by dangerous driving is taken into account and treated as manslaughter when neccessary.
It is now 3 years since Hayley died and her killer is still out there free to kill again. We haven't heard a thing from the police in over 12 months which basically means that they have no further evidence to suggest who the guilty party is. If anyone knows a thing please get in touch with us or the police.

How can Nick be so greedy they say that since they cant have Invader Zim nobody can! They wont give it to Cartoon Network when they failed it and they wont make new ones just because they think it is inapropriat for these times. They think that Invader Zim (being a alien invader from another world bent on the destruction of earth) is an inapropriat show since 9/11 happened. "This is an outrage" says I "Invader Zim may be an invader sent to destroy earth but he is not a very succesful invader and to add to this his A.I. robot, Gir, is a total nut and dose more damage than help."
"How can this be" says Conner Jones,an anonymous bystander "Invader Zim was the best show that ever happened to T.V. how could they do this to all of us kids. That is just wrong. Besides they made a lot of money off the merchandise"
7. Help Stop Animal Labs in the USA
There are many animals who die every day. And do you know why? Animal labs. A couple of ways YOU can help stop animal labs:
1. Don't put up signs for free animals! You THINK these people will care for this litter of kittens (example), but you don't know them!

Why You Should Sign: Do you know how labs get these animals? They steal them! Imagine a little girl. Small, always being made fun of. Her only friend is a small cat. She finds comfort in this friend and often wets the cat's tears with fur. The cat lays there, understanding. One day the cat "runs away". The mother says "Honey, someone'll give her a good home". Not true. What really happened was someone stole the cat and now the cat has to suffer just for cruel humans. The little girl will never see her cat again, and never knew what happened. Do this for all those little girls, and all the others who have a animal that has disappeared.
8. Abolish The Death Penalty in the USA

Please abolish the Death Penalty in the U.S. We are supposed to be a land of forgiveness and freedom. What ever happened to the morals in our Great country? The Bible states, "Thou shall not kill." I can not find where it says ,except for government. We can not, and will not stand for the State sanctioned murder of anymore human beings.
Please find the compassion in your heart and souls to put an end to the heartbreak and suffering of all the families and friends of the victims on both sides.
Recently, reruns begun again for Invader Zim. This does not bother me, except that there was still at least one more episode to show! However, Nickelodean decided that it would offend people if 'Door to Door' was shown. Why? September 11. I am aware that September 11 was horrible, no one is debating that. However, I do believe that some people may be somewhat over sensitive. Think about it. Would anyone have been offended by aliens destroying buildings before? Not most people would have. So, why are we so horrified now? It seems to be because we now relate falling buildings to death. Really? Falling buildings can mean death? No way! Come on!
Any one with a brain knew what could happen if buildings are destroyed. The truth is, September 11 was real. However, the buildings and the people in them in Invader Zim are not. We cannot limit our own culture! We can not limit the range of acceptable material so much that perfectly good potential bits of our culture die! We can not forget the entertaiment is just that, and is not real. The people who die in a movie are not real or do not really die. Death in reality can be mourned.
Serious mourning of deaths in movies or television is ridiculous. I'm sure very few would dispute that. Now then, is the problem that people are reminded of September 11 by such things. This suggests people want to forget the deaths. This, too, is foolish. To wish to forget does more dishonor to the dead than mocking the event. At least mockery accepts that the death happened, while forgetting does not. So, in short, take a risk Nickelodean! WE CAN HANDLE IT!
