1. Reject plans for any more Gypsy camps in Thurrock 
A joint report by The East of England Regional Assembly and the Department for Communities has identified the need for 1220 more Gypsy Camps in Eastern England with a provisional figure of 56 for Thurrock.
This could amount to around 1,000 Gypsies from all over Europe arriving on Thurrock's soil.
The people of Thurrock appreciate their environment and will not tolerate any abuse of their Greenbelt areas.
Thurrock Council should do whatever it takes to protect our environment, even if it means withdrawing financial support and termination of our membership from the East of England Regional Assembly.
