331. Stop Mourinho from turning football into a religion
Feb 08, 2006
This petition was made after realising that, like the Globetroters, Mourinho's too good for football's health.
Feb 06, 2006
Over the past few years we have seen more and more cheating and diving going on during football matches.
Until someone at FIFA or UEFA does anything about this or listens to the fans it will only get worse.
Just watching slow motion replays shows that more 9 times out of 10 the player either:
A) Hasn't been touched; or
B) is holding a part of their body that wasn't touched just because it is easier.
Sometimes during a match a player could have seemingly have their career finished by a tackle, more than once, but still be able to finish the game and play next week.
I've seen players get a hand touch their face and go down as if they are dying. I've seen players screaming in pain after having their shirt pulled! How on earth can that hurt you.
There is no way FIFA, UEFA or any of the member associations can believe what they are seeing on the pitch is real but they still let it happen every week. So far the only real example of anyong getting punished is Rivaldo at the World Cup in Japan but even then he was fined the equivilent of £10.
The situation is so bad that on the UKs cult football show Soccer AM they even play clips each week of players falling over without being touched to the music if Platoon, but still none of the authorities want to do anything about this.
I've seen diving in league matches all over the world, in World Cups, in Cup Finals and during the Champions League but no one will do anything about this.
I want to get 1 million signatures for this petition so that we can make FIFA and UEFA listen.
I have a number of ideas to help drive this out of the game but no one in FIFA or UEFA or anywhere else is prepared to do anything about this.
Feel free to e-mail me at stopdiving@googlemail.com
Let's get as many signatures as we can to make them listen.

334. Kick Rob Styles out of the FA
This is a new petition as of the Arsenal vs Chelsea game on Sunday afternoon.
Quite simply the man is a joke and lacks most of the credentials needed to officiate important football matches.
These days, the premiership is becoming a boring, very predictable one horse race. And when one of the few teams capable of challenging the league leaders Chelsea are beaten by eleven men and 3 officials, it makes you wonder if its even worth watching anymore.
The referee in charge of the Arsenal game disallowed a perfectly legal Robin Van Persie goal, ignored two blatant red card challenges from his new favourite player Michael Essien (whom Rob Styles also shouldve red carded for an X-rated challenge on boltons Tel Ben-Haim who is consequently lucky to still have a footballing career), and bottled countless decisions against Chelsea.
I am not a bitter Arsenal fan, I am actually a Leicester City fan and I enjoy watching good football. Not the ultra defensive, 10 men behind the ball stuff you see at stamford bridge which nobody wants to see.
But the point of the topic is Rob Styles has to go. He is quite simply incapable and if any real football fans agree then pop your signature here and if we get enough it'll go to the FA and other leading football authorities.
335. Megson Out
December 16, 2005
For the sake of Nottingham Forest Football Club Gary Megson has to go?
Yes, only 1 league away win all season. His tatics stink.
Time for a change.
336. Fire Matt Millen
This is a Petition to show that people are tired of bad decisions made by upper management of the Detroit Lions.
Since the Lions will not allow the freedom of speech or the right to protest by the PAYING fans, we request that people sign this petition to have Millen removed.
337. Disagreement of I-AA Playoff Selection Committee
November 22, 2005
Every year it seems as if a team deserving of a playoff spot is selected over by a team that is not as deserving of the playoff spot. Year in and year out it seems as if politics decide the final playoff spots than a teams strength.
Wofford, Youngstown State, and teams such as Georgia Southern having to travel in the first round when they are truly more deserving of a home spot.
I can go on and on about this committee but it serves me no good; I really don't know how to explain what I am saying but if you beleive this committee needs to get its act straight in its decision making; then sign this petition..
338. We Want YSU To Consider Move to MAC
November 21, 2005
The YSU Penguins have had a great tradition in the I-AA and the I-AA Playoffs. In 1996 the Penguins finished 8-3 and did not make the playoffs; in 2001 YSU Finished 8-3 and did not make the playoffs; each year winning TWO Division II Games.
In 2005 The YSU Penguins Finished 8-3 and were Gateway Champions, they only had 1 Division II Game; and surprised many in the I-AA. Despite all that the Penguins missed the I-AA Playoffs again and now its becoming o so common to see this.
Is YSU'S Time in the I-AA Run out? We beleive so. We ask Ron Strollo, YSU Athletic Director, to consider an interest and apply to join the Mid American Conference of I-A.
It will present new rivalries for the Penguins in Akron and Kent and would increase attendances and monies.
If you beleive YSU's time has come to an end in I-AA and you would like YSU have a better opportunity of reaching the postseason; We encourage you to sign this Petition.
Thank You
339. Canada vs. Canadian Soccer Association (CSA)

***************************************
We, Canadian soccer supporters, demand the resignation of Kevan Pipe from his function as Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Soccer Association. We consider that the decisions taken by Mr. Pipe go against the well-being of Canadian soccer, notably by favouring a Major League Soccer club in Toronto and guaranteeing to its operators exclusive rights to the entire Canadian territory, leaving the country's other professional clubs at a disadvantage.
Furthermore, we find it incomprehensible that Toronto would be priviledged as soccer capital of Canada, notably by being guaranteed priority for national team games, while cities like Montreal and Vancouver have proven their worth for over a decade. We also denounce the lack or riguor and stability of Canadian soccer in the past 20 years, with a long list of failures, caused by the lack of vision of those in charge at the CSA.
The current letter asks that the Government of Canada show leadership in the matter and that it analyses the consequences of this MLS project on the entirety of professional and amateur soccer in this country, We demand that the exclusivity deal with Toronto be rescinded.
Finally, we ask that the concerned groups form a consortium so that common decisions can be taken regarding the integration of Canadian clubs to MLS and the future of Canadian soccer.
The soccer supporters of Canada

340. Sven must go!
September 8, 2005
After very poor performances by the England team and ridiculous team/formation choices, it is time for Sven-Göran Eriksson to go.
341. Let Gamers Challenge Plays After Viewing Replays Of Them On Madden Games
Gamers have never been allowed to challenge after viewing replays on Madden football video games, and that needs to stop.
I mean, what good is challenging the call if you can't review it yourself?
342. Free Michael Shields
Michael Shields has been imprisoned in a Bulgarian prison for a crime he did not commit!!!
We his supporters need to get him out of this prison and home to his family, to end this nightmare for everyone.
343. Removal of management team at Kilmarnock Football Club
The supporters of Kilmarnock Football Club who have signed this petition wish for the removal of the manager at Rugby Park, Jim Jefferies.
There have been polls on this issue run on unofficial fans' sites - all of which show overwhelmingly that the fans' wish the manager to leave.
The most recent polls gave the following results:
17th February 2005 - 86 Supporters polled
JJ MUST GO 59 (68.6%)
UNDECIDED 19 (22.09%)
JJ MUST STAY 8 (9.3%)
3rd March 2005 - 196 supporters polled
JJ should GO now 131 (66.84%)
JJ should stay 65 (33.16%)
There is also a poll being run currently which started on 10th April 2005 - this can be viewed at: http://killiefc.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=16990
The overall results will be known towards the end of next week, however 52 supporters have been polled so far and the results at the moment are:
JJ Must Go - 49 (94.23%)
JJ Must Stay - 3 (5.77%)
Many supporters felt that despite their personal views, the manager deserved support until the target of a top 6 place was no longer achievable. Now that Kilmarnock are unable to get into the Top 6 - most feel it is now time for him to leave - and feel the manager could leave with integrity intact if he were to do the decent thing and resign from his position. If this were not to happen within the next fortnight - the fans wish the club to take the appropriate action and relieve the manager of his duties at the club ASAP.
Discontent has been growing among the fans since the Christmas period, but the 3-1 defeat by Hearts in the Scottish Cup was the last straw for many.
The clubs own target of a top 6 place has now not been met for the past 2 seasons - this is simply not good enough. The fans realise that there are financial pressures put upon the management team and the club as a whole - which is constantly being cited as a reason for our poor run of results - but feel that the current position is unacceptable. Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hibernian all work with small squads like our own - mostly made up of young players - and they all have financial restrictions put upon them also - however all of these teams are sitting above us in the SPL - so having a small squad of young, inexperienced players is no longer a viable excuse - especially as this squad have largely been together now for the past 3 years.
The manager has been in charge now for three seasons and things seem to be getting gradually worse. We have an extremely talented young squad of players - but unfortunately the management team is not currently getting the best from them.
The following shows a list of where the club has finished in the Premier since 1997:
Season 97-98 4th
Season 98-99 4th
Season 99-00 9th
Season 00-01 4th
Season 01-02 5th
Season 02-03 4th
Season 03-04 10th
Season 04-05 8th
Jim Jefferies first full season in charge was 2002-03 - when we apparently "over-achieved" - despite having finished in the top 5 in 4 of the previous 5 seasons. Since then manager has totally changed the squad and it is now 'his' team - we have finished 10th last season and are currently sitting 8th - however on current form could quite easily finish 10th or 11th.
There are many reasons why we think this action needs to be undertaken straight away - however we have tried to keep this factual rather than resorting to too many personal opinions - as that would not give a true opinion of the full fan base.
Kilmarnock have lost support every year for the past five years. From an average of over 11,500 in 1998-99 to an average of under 7,000 now. The average attendances are only going in one direction at the moment and many fans feel that attendances will not rise until a change of manager is implemented. Many fans have openly stated they are unhappy with the current management team and will not return to Rugby Park at all until this changes - no matter how well the team are doing.
We have started this petition in order to show our feelings towards this situation in a peaceful manner - HOWEVER - if the fans' opinion is not taken seriously and a change of manager is not implemented very soon, a more organised approach in the form of protests before and after home matches shall be taken. Many fans are voting with their feet at the moment - and to ignore the club's most loyal customers is going to see the attendances slump to a new low not seen for over a decade.
With survival in the SPL looking likely and being in the 'bottom 6' - the fans feel as though there is very little left to play for this season but pride. Unfortunately 6 points from a possible 30 in our last 10 SPL matches is simply not good enough - and if this sort of form continues we may yet get dragged into the relegation dogfight - which is why the supporters feel a change must be made NOW. In our last 12 games - we have only achieved 2 wins and 1 draw - with 6 of the 12 matches being played at home. During these games we have only kept a clean sheet ONCE, and have failed to score in 6 of these games. In these 12 matches - we have conceded 21 goals and only scored 10 (3 of which were scored against dundee united - which was also the only game in which we kept a clean sheet - against the bottom side in the SPL).
To reiterate - The supporters of Kilmarnock Football Club who have signed this petition wish for the removal of the manager, Jim Jefferies.
If you wish to show your support for this petition - please fill in your details and please give your correct email address so that your support can be counted (we need the proper email address in order that your support can be digitally signed - please check your junk mail folder if you think you have not got an email). Obviously it is better if you include your home address also - but we have kept this optional as we realise not everyone is comfortable in giving out this information.
This petition will finish on the 24th April - thanks in advance for any support. Please feel free to send a link to this petition to the club in order that they realise this has your support.
344. Help Alden Junior Football and Cheerleading meet Oatka Football Regulations
Alden Junior Football and Cheerleading has been operting for 35 years. This organization benfits the youth in our community by teaching and nuturing youth sports.

346. The 'Fleet First' Campaign
Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club faces the biggest threat in its 60-year history if plans to relocate Gillingham FC to the borough come to
fruition.
347. Free The Fixtures
The Football Association are searching through football club fan sites and threatening legal action against those sites displaying league fixtures without having previously paid a prohibitive license fee to the FA for the privilege of doing posting their 'property'.
Many smaller fan sites are run by private individuals with the interest of their club at heart, and not any personal private gain, unlike the FA or individual clubs. As such, such a demand for the privilege of posting such information that can be found anywhere on the worldwide web, or in the paper media, restricts the right of the individual to attempt to present a 'professional'-looking web site.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, protest at the money-grabbing antics by the FA, and urge them to consider allowing bona fide fan sites to publish league fixtures without cost to the webmaster.
348. Don't ban shirt-lifting celebrations in football/soccer.
The purpose of this petition is to say you disagree with the decision by FIFA and in particular the English FA to ban players from celebrating a goal by lifting their shirt over their heads (and variations of) or face a yellow card.
Abolish it! Players and fans relish celebrating a goal and this ban is completely absurd. Why not ban time-wasting by substitutions inside of 10 minutes from the end of matches? This is BONKERS!
349. Fire Head Coach James Bell (Jackson State University)
October 21, 2004
Thousands of JSU fans are fed up with second-year head football coach James Bell.
Bell is NOT doing a good job and is not producing victorious results!
350. USAGE OF RONALD BRIDGES PARK AND ETRIS BUILDING FOR YOUTH SPORTS FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING
UNION CITY HAS NO YOUTH SPORTS. THE CITY'S POPULATION HAS GROWN OVER THE YEARS.
351. BAN THE DRUM FROM LONDON ROAD
This petition started after a thread appeared on a Posh messageboard containing some of the following comments:
"I'm fed up of listening to the out of tune drummer and his band of 13yr old merry men. Irritating or what?????!!!!!!!! "
"DRUM OUT!
or more specifically, ban burberry and people who stand around chanting stuff like "we hate Bristol City" You What?!?!?!?!"

Boro tv has been on the air for a number of years. However unless you subscribe to cable (NTL) and/or live in the North east you cannot recive this service. This Petition is to raise awarness to the club that there are a lot of Middlesbrough Football Club fans that are not NTL subscribers or live out of the catchment Area.
Thio is by no means a bad tempred or forcefull Petation but is to raise awareness to the club. Also it will give us fans an indication that there is or is not a need if not we can stop whinging.
UP THE BORO
353. LEAVE THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE AS IT IS !!
After the Football League and Coca Cola launched it's ludacrous new names for the new coming season, I feel it's in our best interests to send a warning out that the fans of Football League clubs are not happy and want things left as they are.
354. Gary Ablett in the Hall of Fame!!
Gary Ablett is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of aussie rules football. It is a disgrace that the AFL are judging Gary on the way he has conducted himself in matters of his own personal business rather than his magnificent skills and freakish ability that made him a legend of the game.
355. Fire Butch Davis
The goal of this petition is to convince the Browns to run Butch Davis out of town. He has been nothing but a nuisance and has ruined a respectable franchise. Please sign this petition to FIRE BUTCH DAVIS!!!
356. Abolish the BCS - Bowl Championship Series system !!
We the undersigned move to abolish the Bowl Championship Series system for choosing national champions in College Football. We believe the system is unfair and does not promote true competition. The system must be changed and made equal for all participants.
357. Create a local disabled football club at Hillingdon
I am 14 years old and disabled, I would like to be able to be a part of a new disabled football club, closer to my home.
358. Help Our Midget Football Teams
The Youth of Front Royal and Warren County need the Board of Supervisors to have the County of Warren pay the annual light bill charged by the County for the use of Bing Crosby Stadium and surrounding practice fields. Rising expenses in football equipment has financially strapped the league which has been a staple of this comunity for almost 50 years.
The Front Royal Midget Football Leaque receives NO co-sponsoring funds or help from the Waren County Parks and Recreation Dept. Expenses can be as much as $30,000 per year for field fees, lights, gaming policing, insurance, new equipment and for old equipment to be refurbished.
359. Ban AFL
This petition is to ban the playing of AFL football as it encourages lack of skill and homosexual tendancies.
360. Save Aberdeen Football Club
For years and years we have seen our once great club slip down the table from being title contenders to the present day fighting for our lives at the bottom end of the table. One reason for the state of our club is a certain Mr Stewart Milne. Here we have a chairman that is a very good and rich businessman in his chosen field of building houses or homes whichever way you want to put it. Here is a man that under him has certainly transformed my beloved Aberdeen Football Club into the laughing stock of Scottish Football through various disasters.
A once proud club has been allowed to be run into the ground losing money left right and centre for years under Mr Milne, lost players because we couldn't afford to keep them or buy them, ditched a toaster to save on the electricity, cut our squad to the bare minimum filled with players that not even a third division team would take on loan if they wanted that is, thats how bad our playing squad is at the moment. We have been the worst team in Europe official. Promises have been broken Mr Milne now i think is the time to go, why should i travel all the way from Dumfries every saturday to see a team that cant give it's all and dont say its not your fault Mr Milne it is you may be a good house builder but you sure aint a good football chairman do me and many others a favour and go before you put our club out of business, the first protests where today Mr Milne expect it to gather momentum if you dont sort out our club. If you cant do the job no more then GO now, before you lose any creditablity you have left
