I was using the TTC on Sunday December 13th to get home. In the evenings (especially when it is this late, when I have bags to carry from work and when roads are slippery), I like to request the bus to pull into a quick stop between bus stops. Not only do I feel safer with my home in sight; I have shaved several minutes of walking. Usually, bus drivers are more than happy to do this, especially during the winter evenings regardless of my gender.

This time, I was abruptly reminded that this request stop was for "women only" and then the bus carried on driving (without stopping and only having one other passenger).

This is only the third time this has happened (the the driver rejected my request); however, I feel that incident should never have happened at all. I am writing to suggest that the "evening stop request" be made availble to all men, women and children travelling in the evening times and that every passenger's safety (especially in the winter time) be considered. The Toronto Transit Corporation has to believe that passengers will not abuse this opportunity; at the same time, should also believe that their employees can us their descretion whether to allow the stop or not (NOT based on gender). Being that Toronto has taken huge strides to become more inclusive and diverse in culture, ethnicity, abilities and sexuality/gender, this should be reflected in the transit system Toronto provides.

Not all women are more vulnerable to danger than men. Female riders do not pay extra fare to have their safety be protected (as people's safety should be protected for everyone). There are many individuals in Toronto who are transgendered as well. Being judged by the clothes we wear, the way we act and who we are should not be a factor in our safety when "Riding the Rocket".

With Toronto winning its bid for World Pride in 2014; I do not concede that we should take this matter lightly. For the days, weeks and months leading up to the event, Toronto will be home to many visitors from across the globe. The last thing I believe should ever happen would be for a man to be in a dire situation that could have been avoided by the opportunity to "request an evening stop".

I am starting this petition to get the attention of the owners whom don't like to do their jobs or listen to any complaints of their residents. I am trying to prove my point that my family and I are not the only ones who have problems in these apartments.

Oak Grove, KY is a rapidly growing area and needs to adopt a leash law for the safety of the citizens and the animals. Animals roaming free are more likely to come into contact with known rabies carriers such as skunks and raccoons. They are also more likely to spread parasites and other diseases to animals and humans.

Each year, free roaming animals cause millions of dollars in insurance claims, property loss and damage, medical bills, and loss of productivity. Animal bite injuries, property damage, and car accidents are major problems caused by animals allowed to run at large. Free-roaming dogs are a danger to local wildlife, they are traffic hazards, they spread disease and breed (causing an overpopulation problem) and in addition, some people just do NOT want these pests in their yard.

Dog owners, we therefore ask that you please have some consideration and either keep your dog indoors or put your dog on a leash when you let it out. We the undersigned feel that while it is everyone's individual right to own a pet, not everyone wants to come into contact with everyone else's pet.

Therefore, we would like to see a LEASH LAW enacted for dogs. We would like to see some official legislation on this topic.

On YouTube, everyone is SO pissed about Roy from Fire Emblem not being included on the huge SSBB roster. I bought and beat Super Smash Bros. Melee for use on my Wii. When I beat it, and had the ENTIRE roster, I thought that EVERYONE would be in the next game.

A year later, I bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It was a HUGE disappointment. Roy ended up being replaced with Ike, in which I hate. Sign this if you agree or have the same story.

Second Chance for Ex-Offenders Act of 2009 - Amends the federal criminal code to allow an individual to file a petition for expungement of a record of conviction for a nonviolent criminal offense if such individual has:

(1) never been convicted of a violent offense and has never been convicted of a nonviolent offense other than the one for which expungement is sought;

(2) fulfilled all requirements of the sentence of the court in which conviction was obtained;

(3) remained free from dependency on or abuse of alcohol or a controlled substance for a minimum of one year and has been rehabilitated, to the court's satisfaction, if so required by the terms of supervised release;

(4) obtained a high school diploma or completed a high school equivalency program; and

(5) completed at least one year of community service.

Authorizes an individual convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor to file an expungement petition. Directs the court, in ruling on such petition, after determining petitioner eligibility, to weigh the petitioner's interests against the best interests of justice and public safety.
Authorizes the Department of Justice (DOJ) to maintain a nonpublic manual or computerized index of expunged records, to be made available only to federal and state law enforcement personnel who have custody of such records for limited disclosure purposes.

Requires the restoration of expunged records of individuals subsequently convicted of any federal or state offense.

My main focus started with Transit Buses in the outskirts of down town Sudbury, As I looked more into the issues there's things wrong with every part of the city.

In 1999 Sudbury, Became the GREATER CITY OF SUDBURY.

So you would think if we are The GREATER CITY OF SUDBURY all town's would be treated the same. Nope! ALL out skirt town buses run on different times then down town Sudbury buses, why is that if were all one city now?

IN spring 2008 the City decided to make one later bus for the outskirts to 12:30. All regular buses stayed the same.

BUT......

What about the people who work early in the morning? sometimes their late because of traffic or of the roads, maybe we should have earlier buses to.

All of ONTARIO, Sudbury is the only one to have the new transit system...WHY, why didn't they take the money they used from the tax payers to improve the system, with more frequent, and longer bus times, lasting though out the day, (morning to night) and providing a larger range of services, example (whitefish, dowling), Including Sundays and holidays.

Did you know must stores/ restaurants are still open on SUNDAYS/ Holidays..... How are they sappose to get to work....

With the new system, the transfers don't give us much time, when were traveling on the out skirt buses, especially from Caperol, by the time you get to Val Caron, your transfer is expired, and then the drivers give you a hassle and YOU shouldn't have to pay more money, YOUR transfer should be good like everyone else's.

Sudbury is also one of the cities in Ontario to shut their Transit early. North Bay is smaller than us and their buses all run till 2:00am.

People need to work, they have personal lives to be meet with, to live a "normal" life.... what if they work 'til 11:00 and have no way home because some of the outskirt buses stop at 9:00 and so on. Is the city excepting people not to work?

Maybe this would help people get off Welfare, if there was more options or services.

Maybe there could be less accidents?

There are many elderly people who retire in the outskirts, but have no way to get around, and on pension, the can't afford to take a taxi everywhere.

Also Most buses are extremely packed....there's an overage on the college students, there's not enough places for them to live.... YOU think there's enough seats too? there's like what 30 seats on a bus, plus standing? and then people getting hurt because the driver slams on the breaks, and puff the people go flying.

Today I was deeply disturbed to be stopped in the street by a woman in bright red overalls saying 'Jesus will save you!'. I apologised, said sorry but all of my friends and myself are straightedge and satanists (and no, this isn't what most people think it is).

She then accused me of pushing my 'religion' on everyone else (Despite the fact that being straightedge involves no drinking, no drug abuse and no sex outside of a relationship.) and threw a load of notes in my face.

She told me, that as a woman I was leading my male friends straight to hell. I found this a disgrace towards my gender.

It is people like this who are continually harassing people, disturbing them and upsetting them .

I'm all for people believing what they want to believe, but when they start forcing their religion upon everyone.

May I also note, this woman also deeply upset an old woman she shouted at?
Why should these people be allowed to harass people in such a way?

And if you would like the evidence, I shall be sure to scan up a picture of a pamphlet telling everyone how everything we enjoy is evil.

Barry Bonds, unfortunately, looks like he will most likely break Hank Aarons all time homerun record in the next month or two. This is probably the most sacred record in all of baseball and it is set to be broken by a player who took steroids/enhancing agents.

There is overwhelming evidence out there and its quite obvious he did. Now the great passtime that is baseball will be tainted by this jackass having his name on this record. It just makes me sick just thinking about it. I call on everyone who will be at the game to boo him.

During late 2005 and 2006, Mr Garcia held several chill out shin digs which were enjoyed by all. It was a place where everyone who went felt safe and had an incredible time.

We, the people of Republika Srpska, do have Christian way of life as the rest of the Europe and with such values we desire to join integration into European community.

Serbian people desire to bring into European community from our own perspective, respect for all with ingredients which will benefit man kind. We do not want to be any part of any integration which would create a melting pot whereby we would as a nation simply disappear. Present status fully warrants our concerns. To prevent this occurrence, it is necessary first to integrate our own, Serbian people, and than join the community.

People of Republika Srpska desire to egress from present union, which is forcefully created, against everyone's will.

Here are some reasons for definite desire to leave union of BH.
Totally opposite interpretation of resent war - friction.

With no respect for law, and with no legal ground Federation side has entered into lawsuit with neighbor Serbia, whereby they are in fact suing ourselves. All is done at their own initiative without any regard for our objections. It is simply job creation for themselves.

State symbols do not represent our way of life, our culture, our history, they simply, mean absolutely nothing to people of Republika Srpska. They are forced upon everyone living in Republika Srpska.

Centralizing government means all laws all taxes, all economic power will simply be in the hands of majority, which will do at will. Certainly not for benefit of Republika Srpska, since present and past had shown this track record.

Central power, will at will, as a majority, support Al Kaida basses as it has done in the past as well as present. Terrorism is not our way of life and newer has been. Terrorism will, as we all know destabilize region.

Centralizing power, from constitutive people will make us apsolute minority. On the same token in Kosovo from the minority, they are given nationality.

So far, union of BH has shown that no democratic economy can prosper. Present election as is and as it is controlled form outside, has show that no true representative of the people for the people is ever elected. This situation is placing people into position of absolute distrust with its so called leaders.

From above points, which are in brief, we believe that you can see clearly that peace in this region will not last for long, peace which you and us desire and respect so much. Therefore, we believe that you will respect and recommend fulfillment of basic human rights of Serbian people, and its desire for self determination, which is tide to its freedom and liberty.

We are informing you further of the fact that our organization "Serbian Peoples Movement - Choice is Ours" which is not associated with any government, have collected all ready over 40,000 (forty thousand) signatures. With this number of signature collected from citizens of Republika Srpska, in very short period of times, we have clearly indicated definite desire of Serbian people to leave union of BH. People have clearly understood that it can not and will not build its own future with antequated arabic sheriats law which is in place now here - but it has been banned in entire western civilization.

I believe the US should have and official language, that being English. I do not believe that businesses should be catering to other languages.

Businesses putting their product language in spanish is just catering to Spanish speaking people. If a person comes to America to live, they should learn the official language of America - America should not cater to them. If I went to Mexico to live, I would learn Spanish.

In Mexico, it is a given that everyone speaks spanish, why is it not a given here that everyone speak English? I am an American, not a Mexican or Asian, I speak English and so should everyone who lives here.

I cannot convince everyone to help stop global warming, but I know something that can, people say one movie can't change the world, but I think this one will.

I highly reccomend you see this movie, it's called "An Inconvenient Truth". I'd say global warming is the most important issue of anything that has ever happened, more important than terrorists or, well, everything! And anyone that thinks global warming is a load of sh** is a bastard and I hope they die of heat exaustion.

There are all these shows on TV about human life after the year 2100, but if global warming continues and if we don't do anything about it then 2100 is marked as about the time that everyone and everything on Earth will die because the planet is starting to boil! And it will keep getting hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and it won't stop there it will keep going even if the human race and all other life has been killed off by it, it will keep getting hotter because our self running machines are still there burning up the planet.

Soon earth will be a ball of fire (literally) orbiting around another ball of fire, the Sun, if this hasn't convinced you then why don't you go to the cinema and get a big box of popcorn and a large coke or any other drink you want, maybe a packet of chocolate or anything you want and sit down and watch "An Inconvenient Truth" because it will change your life and anyone's life that watches it.

The last indoor park in our area; Vans Skatepark. Although corporate, and very annoying at times still brought everyone together to ride, hang out, exercise and have fun.

Since its removal many of the riders and skaters have gone their own ways into other things, some illegal and have quit this wonderful hobby they used to have.

If we had a new park some of those kids can come back to it, and new ones can join in.

Everyone is hearing that the OC is getting cancelled. How could they do that?

Everyone is sooo in love with that show. It has only been on for a few seasons! I mean other shows have like 13 seasons. I heard that the creators can't think of any new ideas. I mean use your imagination. Also that the ratings are going down.

Well maybe people dont want one of the main characters to die. That sure will bring the ratings down ALOT. My point is that everyone loves the oc and alot of people would be upset if it got cacelled.

Two weeks before October 31, 2005, Hazel McCallion School informed their students of an activity day on Halloween Day. These activities included a dance, a film room, a games room, and study hall (for everyone else).

On the forms that were sent home, the school stated that they had hired a DJ from Z103.5 to come to the dance, therefore it cost $5.00. Everyone thought that Z103.5 was a good choice for the school to hire, as they play a mix of different genres of music, and went ahead and paid $5.00 to attend.

Anyways, the day of the dance came, and when all the students entered the gym, there was the DJ up at the front playing some kind of hip-hop music with a bass louder than 100 000 pipe bands. Then, finally the DJ announced that he was from Flow 93.5, not from Z103.5, he was from the hip-hop and R & B station. Not very many people would have gone if they knew that only 2 decent rock songs would be played, and 3 slow songs while the rest of the dance was filled with hip-hop music that gave us headaches.

My proposal is that the students that wouldn't have gone to this dance get a refund of $2.50 for putting up with "noise" for so long.

It's great that the government is finally getting around to increasing the punishment for animal cruelty, but the new proposed maximum punishments are still inadequate (the idea is that the maximum gaol sentence should be increased from 6 to 12 months, the maximum fine will go up from £5000 to $20,000 and people who are found guilty of animal cruelty would recieve life bans on keeping animals).

I am in favour of bringing in an eye for eye punishment for everyone who is guilty of animal cruelty. That way, the offender will be punished according to how much they made the animal suffer (which I would say is fair enough considering how little need there is for animal cruelty).

WE BELIEVE in the age old tradition of beer drinking. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy".

On the other hand, discount beer is proof that God also likes to mess with our minds every once in a while. WE RECOGNIZE that there is money to be made from the sale of discount beer and that not everyone can afford the good stuff. Oh sure... there are more noble causes that we could take up.

Yet, we cannot sit back and watch one more poor wretch walk out of the beer store trying to conceal the swill-in-box that some would pass off as beer. Besides, all the good causes are already taken. We are PiSSD that people are compelled to compromise their standards when it comes to beer and we are PiSSD that some brewers are taking advantage of the poor, the thirsty, the befuddled masses.

Dear Ten Club/ Pearl Jam management.

This is not an easy thing to do, but you have left us, your fans, with no other choice than to have our voices heard in unison, to alert you to the seriousness of our frustration, and downright anger, with your services at Ten Club.


We are all faithful fans who continuously give you our hard earned money so we can get the benefits of the Ten Club.

If you are not aware, the reason why most people join the fan club is to be able purchase tickets for shows to see the band live. The fan club single, and the occasional newsletter is nice, even though it is called a Xmas single, and well we all know, that calling it that, is a little bit silly now, isn't it? This is no big deal though, as most of us fans out there are appreciative of the band putting out singles for us to listen to, and we know, it's kind of a joke, wink wink, at calling it a Xmas single.

The reason why this has come to this point is after years of knowing that anytime there was any news about the band, the Pearl Jam board and Ten club site would crash, it has finally reached the point of us as a collective, saying, NO MORE!

There may be many fans of the band who do not ever use the internet as a way of finding out about shows, or getting tickets to see these shows, but if that is the case, they did not join the fan club for the same reasons so many of us did. This is not about if we did or did not get tickets to the Phili show, which went on sale today August 1st.

What it is about, is the demand from each of us who will sign this, to have a message board that works for the fans. One that alerts us to news when we need to know it, and more importantly a ticketing site that works fairly, and properly when shows are being sold.

Surely you understand the demand for tickets from us members. We deserve to have our purchasing options run as smoothly as possible for the fees we pay.

I know the band may not be aware of just how big their fan base with internet access is, but they should be. A system set up like this Philadelphia buy will just not work. We are sure that the people who work at Ten Club do their jobs to the best of their ability, and they deserve to be paid for doing so. In saying that, you should know in the last two years our membership fees have been raised twice, again we understand and have no problem with that, it's part of life that fees will eventually be raised.

However in understanding this fact, we all hoped the problems of the past would be solved with the flow of more revenue being raised, instead it seems you are going backwards in your service. In doing this we thought it was the only thing the fans could do, to try and make things better for everyone.

Please alert the band to this problem, if they don't know, they should, if they don't care once they find out, then we as their loyal fans are maybe not the sharpest tools in the shed for being so, but that is a road to be crossed at another time.

Again, this was not an easy thing to do, we love the music the band creates, we appreciate all they do for us, but action is needed to correct the many problems that are associated with Ten Club and the overall Pearl Jam online experience. We all hope you take this seriously, and work to fix the problems and make this a painful, but forgotten memory.

Please use our extra 5 dollars to either hire more capable people to work on the sites, or better yet, find a server that can deal with the demand that is placed on yours, anytime anything is happening in Pearl Jam land.

We see your post, and that is a start to a better future, but we are going through with this petition, because honestly, we have seen repeated messages in the past about promised improvements in the Pearl Jam/Tenclub sites functioning better, and have seen the evidence lacking of that ever occuring.

OUR LOCAL PARK IS BEING RENOVATED AND THE PLANNING COMMITY HAD MEETINGS FOR THE NEIGHBORS TO SEE WHAT WAS WANTED IN THE PARK. I ATTENDED THE FIRST MEETING WITH MY 11 YEAR OLD SON AND WE VOICED THAT WE WANTED THE BALL AREA TO STAY FOR BASKETBALL AND OTHER BALL PLAY AND THAT WE WANTED FUN PLAY FOR SMALLER CHILDREN SUCH AS WATER PLAY LIKE SPRINKLERS, AND SLIDES AND SWINGS.

WE COULD NOT ATTEND OTHER MEETINGS FOR VERY GOOD REASONS, BUT ALWAYS SPOKE TO NEIGHBORS AND CALLED THE PLANNING DIRECTOR TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE GOING. UP TO THE FOURTH MEETING ALL WAS GOING WELL FOR US, AND IT ALSO INCLUDED WHAT OTHERS WANTED LIKE A GREEN AREA AND A DOG PARK.

THEN AFTER THE FOURTH MEETING EVERYTHING CHANGED. NO BASKETBALL, NO SPORTS, ALL GREEN, AND IT UPSET ME. I SPOKE TO CITY HALL, THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING, A STATE REP THAT LIVES ONE STREET FROM ME, NEIGHBORS, EVERYONE. MY LOCAL ALDERMAN HAS NOT CALLED ME AFTER THREE CALLS TO HER.

SO MY THOUGHT WAS A PETITION. AFTER TALKING TO THE STATE REP, SHE CONFIRMED MY THOUGHTS WERE RIGHT AND SAID PETITION. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WERE SAID BY THE PLANNING DIRECTOR WAS THAT THEY WANT TO GET THE ELEMENT OUT OF THE PARK THAT PLAY BASKETBALL. SEND YOUR KIDS TO ANOTHER PARK. AWFUL THINGS. A lot of telephone exchanges have been enabled for ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) Broadband internet throughout Australia. Unfortunately most people on many of the exchanges are still left out because of wiring problems (like using "Pair Gain", a cheap solution for heavy phone traffic).

Telstra refuses to change the wiring or enable the people left out saying it is not worth anything to them or saying it is extremely costly. Telstra Corp. made a huge turnover last year and can more than afford to enable everyone on ADSL.

We are getting rather weary of listening to Telstra's excuses and DEMAND they do something about this problem because as far as we are concerned, we are paying for extremely low grade phone services and paying the same as everyone.

The Australian Government has also washed their hands clean of the problem, saying it is not their responsibility to upgrade these services. This is false as the Government is in charge of all utility services (gas, roads, phone, power) in Australia, thus they should be funding the upgrades.

I ask you to do this for me, please take a few minutes, get into your car and drive to the nearest school in your town. Walk inside the school and observe what you'll see.

For those of you that don't want to get into the car and drive, let me tell you what you'll see.

Open, unsecure doors. Empty, unattended hallways. Unprotected driveways leading into critical areas and Unprotected air conditioning systems.

Now with what just happened in Russia, can we as parents stand-by and allow the government to place our children at risk 5 days a week, 40+ weeks a year, with absolutely no protection?

What can we do to prevent Russia's school house massacre from happing inside the United States or any other country?

The technology is here to protect our young.

The need is IMMEDIATE.

Let me tell you how I would protect our children.

First I would implement a National school only database that housed every child's medical, and school history.

I would install swipe card/thumbprint access to each room inside every school, and the exterior doors,

I would issue everyone in schools a unique swipe card or use thumbprint recognition.

The child would swipe or thumb as they walk in the door, and as they walk into all communal area's such as library, gym, cafeteria, and all rooms.

This would allow for the national database to create a MUSTER report just like chemical plants, airlines, and the military have.

The muster report would be able to provide who exactly is in each room in any given school house at any given time, within 5 minutes.

EMT would have access to medical files instantly for medical purposes

Law enforcement would know exactly how many children were in danger, and WHO.

More research would have to be done

Also,

I would install cameras in all gyms, hallways, entrances, sensitive equipment areas, and drives.

And hire 2 security guards per school to man the camera's and foot patrols.

This is a petition to implement this system in every school in the US. Those of you not in the US, copy this page and use it for yourself. This is a real threat, that needs IMMEDIATE attention.

Don't give the terrorist a chance to duplicate the Russian school house massacre in your school.

As an adult, I am angry at the way I am treated just because I am 19 years old. My main problem is the restrictions on alcohol. "Minors," as we are called when in the presence of alcohol, have the right to fight for this country and vote. And not only am I upset that I cannot even have one drink, it is also the restriction from just about everywhere that serves it. Limitations should not be put on adults simply based on their age.

Anyone under the age of 21 cannot walk into TGI Friday's, a simple restaurant over the hours of 10:00 PM. That same person though, can sit down for a meal at 2:00 in the afternoon with a table of 30-year-olds drinking margaritas at the next table. There are hardly any nightclubs that allow anyone under 21 just because they are in the presence of alcohol. Being denied access to a nightclub gives minors very little options of what to do during their weekends. Most of the time, this leads to staying at home, or going to a friend's house where they are out of the public's eye and are able to drink. This can become a problem because they hardly have the chance to learn to drink responsibly. Being in the comfort of someone's home allows him or her to drink too much because the opportunity to just stop and "crash" on the couch, is there.

A lot of minors do not even want to go to a nightclub to just drink. They want to dance and they hardly get the opportunity to. The music in the 18 and over club is very limited and it is wrong to assume that everyone in a certain age range wants to listen to one type of music. It is so insulting to be an adult who is able to take care of their own responsibilities, but yet is so limited as to what they can do.

An adult is an adult and to separate a group from another just because of age is discrimination. This is supposed to be a country of equal rights and if we are all equal between skin color and sex, then an adult should not be less privileged than another because of his or her age. If 18 to 20-year-olds are not meant to share the same privileges as others, then take away their adulthood altogether. The privileges to serve the country and vote should also be taken away. Everyone matures differently and there is no way you can assume every 18-year-old is not yet responsible to drink and that every 21-year-old is. Many claim that if the age limit is lowered to 18, then the demand to lower it even further will rise. These people seem to forget that the difference between an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old is the simple fact that you are legally an adult at the age of 18.

When one hits the age of 18, they are most likely still living at home with their parents. If you give these young adults the chance to go to a bar with their parents to have their first drink or two, you let them learn responsibly from their parents the way to handle alcohol. At the age of 21, many adults are out of their parents' homes and experience what is supposed to be their first drink without any supervision. They drink too fast without knowing their limit because no one is there to warn them.

To most who are banned from it, alcohol is a sort of "forbidden fruit." As Dr. Ruth Engs, a professor at Indiana University has stated, "Lowering the drinking age would help send the important message that drinking is, in itself, not evidence of maturity... that responsible consumption for those who choose to drink is evidence of maturity." Japan is a country with a 20-year-old age limit for alcohol, but is not strictly enforced. Many have easy access into clubs and bars and when you are used to this as a minor, drinking is not a huge deal. You are treated more respectfully and there is no need to go against the law. By going out at an early age, you learn to drink responsibly at an early age.
