1. Bring Sainsburys to Ulverston
Ulverston is on the verge of becoming a ghost town.
We wish to see the new development of Sainsburys in Ulverston.
It will create jobs, keep shopping local within the town, attract new business, bring Ulverston up to date and revive our dying market town.
Ulverston needs an injection of life into it.
We feel that its about time that we had a decent affordable supermarket in our town.
2. Allow Principal Reductions - Replace Ed DeMarco
Hi,
President Obama has an important opportunity during the next congressional recess to help millions of homeowners with one simple step: replacing the man who's holding back the housing recovery with someone actually willing to help homeowners and taxpayers.
I signed a petition encouraging him to take the bold step of replacing Edward DeMarco, acting head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, with someone who'll do the right thing for the economy and the 12 million families who are in danger of losing their home.
Fannie should allow principal reductions on ALL homeowners who are underwater both current and delinquent.
Why do the banks send you a letter decling a loan modification and then go on to offer for you to short sale it for market value to someone else instead of giving you a loan modification at market value?
Ed DeMarco must go !
Can you join me
3. Petition for the Australian government to start a space Program like NASA or the ESA
Australia is the only western developed country without a space program, If Australia had one the benefits would be overwhelming.
> Over 9000 jobs would be created.
> Our economy would grow stronger.
> Kids who always dreamt of wanting to be astronauts can be instead of becoming American citizens and joining Nasa which would cost thousands.
> We are in the perfect position here in Australia for one. Even NASA would back an Australian Space Program.
There is some Disadvantages to this but not many, as you can see a space program would add to our already booming economy and create tons of jobs.
4. Like my Vote: Allow voting on facebook for the presidential election
Facebook is the most used social network on the world wide web today with an average of approximately 1.01 Billion users per month. It's used to advertise, reconnect with family and friends as well as campaign for any political office.
Why not go one step further and allow the American people to cast the vote on Voting day via Facebook. You can pay bills, watch, television, go to school and so many other things via the Internet, why not make it easy for someone to cast their vote for their candidate via a secure app on Facebook.
There are so many Facebook users that would love to vote but for various reasons may not be able to physically get out to do it. Facebook would give them that chance. Facebook was flooded during the presidential debates. Imagine if every one of those users were able to cast their vote and really take part of their American Right. The turnout would be tremendous. The American voice would definitely be heard.
5. STOP CRUEL FUR TRADE OF CATS, DOGS, RACOONS and many OTHER ANIMALS IN CHINA
THE FUR TRADE INVOLVES HORRIFIC ACTS OF SADISTIC PRIMITIVE ANIMAL ABUSES.
AN INCREASING OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, POLITICIANS and more people around the world HAVE COME TOGETHER TO GATHER THE EVIDENCES OF WHAT ONE ORGANIZATION, ARCHANGEL, HAS CALLED, "CRIMES AGAINST "HUMANIMALITY".
See WWW.ANIMALGUARDIANNEWS.WIX.COM/ARCHANGEL
ANIMALS NEED YOUR VOICE TO RESCUE THEM FROM A LIFE OF TORTURE AND SENSELESS KILLING.
STOP THESE DISTURBING ACTS OF ANIMAL ABUSES NOW BY SIGNING THIS PETITION!
THE BARCELONA DECLARATION
We feminist economists gathered in Barcelona on the occasion of the 21st Annual Conference of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE), considering that in the last three decades neoliberalism has produced multiple crises in different parts of the world, and this global crisis has moved from the periphery to the centre and is now hitting Europe.
7. Petition for a motion of no-confidence in the UK coalition government

As most of you will know, the UK government operates an e-petition website on the basis that any petition achieving 100,000 signatures or more must be passed forward for parliamentary discussion. The govt has repeatedly rejected an e-petition calling for discussion of a no-confidence motion in the current coalition government.
This government has repeatedly shown itself unfit to govern - sleaze,an all-out attack on the NHS and the public sector generally, inappropriate interactions with powerful media & corporate interests, opposing Freedom of Information requests and not least mismanagement of the UK economy, among many other issues.
If you wish to communicate to the government that it does not have the support or mandate of the UK people for its actions, please sign the petition below - and publicise it to your friends via Twitter, Facebook and any other means. The government may not listen, but the more people sign, the harder it will be for it to ignore!
8. Save Our P.S. 102 One World After School Program
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proposed closing 50% of after school programs in New York City, one of which is HeartShare's P.S. 102 One World After School Program.
HeartShare's program provides more than 250 children ages 7 to 13 with a safe place to go after school where they complete their homework before participating in recreational and social activities.
Closing this program would be devastating to the children and their parents who are not able to afford private programs.
9. Abolish the death penalty in Florida
The death penalty has become time consuming, cost-inefficient and has had no clear effect on the deterrence of crime. In a time of economic recovery, the call to abolish a wasteful punishment is way past due.
It is time we stop allowing the government to put our budget in the death penalty and start putting it into education and health care.
10. Stop Gas Prices from Going Higher!
This petition has been created to give a voice to each and every one of us that pay for gas in the U.S.
Gas prices are absolutely taking a toll on families and businesses alike. The alternative to driving a vehicle just simply isn't an option for many car owners and therefore we are FORCED to pay outrageous gas prices with no reprieve.
The FACT is, MANY Americans cannot make their way to WORK if they are forced to pay these gas prices. Everything will suffer as a result of this.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial strain that these high gas prices are causing to U.S. Citizens.
11. Local Residents in support of Local Festivals in Sonoma County
Local Sonoma County events have been reduce greatly in the recent years and we would like to help establish a yearly festival that will give to the community and everyone whom participates in the event.
Our thoughts/desire concerning this event include showcasing local talent in order to inspire collaboration and teamwork of up and coming production teams to give back to the music community and the people involved. In additional to help all those involved we would like to take a percentage of all proceeds obtained from the event and distribute it into the local economy such as the schools and social assistance programs.
We want to better our community and combining the local talent will help to bring about additional opportunities for everyone involved in the event. Whether it be new connections, new associates, additional tourism and external revenue can be brought into our local economy. This will help to assist each member involved as well as every in the local area.

Who throws parties on Sundays?
Because of a longstanding association with Superbowl and Sunday, NFL lovers do.
However, the effort which goes into these parties, followed by inevitably intense revelry and/or depression by fans and admirers alike, does not suit a Sunday disposition.
Superbowl Saturday would allow us to embrace the game without fear of tomorrow. It would also allow for a day of reflection and recovery before the busy work week begins.
As the NFL ever expands into new markets, it is incumbent upon the league to recognize the ill effects that a Sunday Superbowl imposes on the world economy.
A Saturday Superbowl would allow millions of American churchgoers to fully participate in celebrations, creating new marketing possibilities for the NFL and their sponsor networks.
Holding the Pro Bowl on the following Sunday in the Superbowl city would also provide otherwise untapped marketing opportunities, and generally better interest in this otherwise milquetoast affair.
Superbowl Saturday has too many advantages to ignore.
Let's exercise our right to freedom of fun!
Let's keep the world economy rolling.
The United States House of Representatives has been passing budgets in their house, but the Senate is not passing any budgets.
The national budget is very important in making sure our country is running smoothly and if we want to get the country in better financial shape, we will need to a national budget passed and approved.

We understand that there is money to be made and you can make it in the Oil Business ! But the people that buy are so poor that they can barely feed there families or even heat or keep there homes these days let alone pay there medical bills God for bid they have any.
The unemployment rate is growing and not getting much better ! And yet they keep raising the price of Gas it keeps going up and UP! It has to stop some ware until the economy comes back online again We need a Freeze on Gas PRICING NOW! Help AMERICA HELP ITS SELF NOW ! This one act that could get most of the people back in the game again! When Americans have to ask them selves do I buy food ? Do I pay my bills (heat, water house payment? or do I feed my gas tank?
We have a BIG problem specially when you can not even plan on what it might cost as the price changes day to day and some how that does not work for most Americans budgets. So Please Hold the gas price at ( $2.00 ) a gallon for at least 6 months to a year. America dose not need food Stamps nor welfare or even a bail out just a small solution that could make the change we all need! And let the Americans see the light again!
16. People's Mandate for a Global Resource Based Economy
What is a People's Mandate? If you desire change from your Government, then the proper process is to express your will. When enough people express their Will, then it becomes a People's Mandate.
A Democratic Government cannot ignore a people's mandate, pure and simple, as the "People" are the "Authority," and when the people express their will in the correct manner, our elected representatives "must obey" as they are public servants after all.
Clean water, clean food, medical treatment and medicine, shelter, electricity, transportation are a human right, and not a privilege to be bought and sold. Once a social change begins it cannot be reversed, you cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read, you cannot humiliate the person who feels pride, you cannot oppress people who are no longer afraid any more, we the people have seen the future, and the future is ours.
17. They broke it. Make them pay to fix it!
- There is an employment crisis because of a lack of decent stable jobs.
- There is a moral crisis because the rich and well connected want the rest of us to pay for their irresponsible speculation, fraud and greed.
- There is a crisis of democracybecause our political system is dominated by people with money rather than people with good ideas.
- We've made our sacrifices. . . . We sacrificed our jobs, standard of living, health care, children's education, retirement security, the environment and the precious lives of our loved ones in wars.
Let those who caused the crisis now make their sacrifices!
18. Ban gas drilling in Hector, NY
Slick water, high volume, hydraulic fracturing has destroyed people's homes, communities, natural resources, air, and water in more than a dozen states, most recently in Pennsylvania. This is done so that corporations can sell gas world-wide, in the name of "freeing us from petroleum imports."
We believe our town should ban this practise, in the name of preserving our community. Our state protection agency, the DEC, has decided that certain parts of our state are not OK to drill in, but it's "OK" for the rest of us. "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."
We need Hector residents and landowners to sign our petition.
19. Save the animals and the people!
Picture a beautiful, relaxing wildife habitat which provides a home for millions of animals and birds. Imagine that the same place hosts hundreds of oxygen-producing trees. Imagine that the place also provides a home and livelihood for at least a few farmers and other workers.
Now imagine bulldozers hurtling in and ripping up the trees, running over innocent animals and maybe even injuring one or two children. This is what almost certainly will happen and the Council want to call the new town "Cranbrook". They say that this for "economical reasons". But the fact is that it will do far more bad than good as the farmers will lose their livelihoods.
If any lower individual wanted to do this, they would be prosecuted by law, but the council are not in trouble for this. Why? Because they talk in posh language, they are high in power and may claim that they are "using resourceful land to build a new community for economical purposes" rather than saying that they are tearing down trees and destroying beautiful fields to build busy highways, shops, houses and leisure centres for their own evil money.
They say that it will provide employment, but this can sometimes be achieved by fixing and reusing old buildings. They also say that it will create more homes and prevent homelessness. The right way to prevent homelessness would be to fix and reuse old homes, lower household costs and fund homeless charities such as Shelter and the Salvation Army.
How would YOU like to lose your home and/or livelihood?
20. Reduce damage to wildlife in Devon
Picture a beautiful scene of nature and fields providing a home to millions of animals and birds. Imagine that this is also a home and livelihood for farmers and provides jobs for many other people too. There is such a place near where I live and now the Council wish to build a town here called Cranbrook.
Unless I get enough signatures here, they will be building to their original plans, and destroying the homes, jobs and livelihoods of both wildlife and people with bulldozers. While it is far too late to stop the building altogether, it is not too late for the Council to reduce their plans to build here. This would also be dangerous since they plan to build homes and other buildings there on the flood plains.
They say that this is necessary to reduce homelessness and to create jobs, but this is untrue because homelessness can be reduced by turning suitable old buildings into houses and work buildings, as well as reducing the housing costs. How would you like to be a wild animal and have your home destroyed for "economic reasons"?
21. Extend Second Saturday Art Walk Hours
Regarding street artists and vendors at the Second Saturday art walk. These hard working artists make most of their money on this night - and used to make most of it between the hours of 8 and 10 pm.
With the art walk closing at 8 pm - it has greatly impacted many people. The customers coming in through the art walk are also disappointed that they don't get done with dinner in time to come out and buy.
During the Summer, many people will not come out until the later hours due to heat, thus impacting artists even more.
22. Demand a third party evaluation of the penny from Parliament
http://www.creditcardscanada.ca/news/2011-02-15-penny-brief
Over the past several years, the rising cost of production of the superannuated penny has come to the public's attention. Various evaluations of the penny's production costs have been done, some higher than the Government's assessment of 1.5c. Several factors are involved in the production cost of the penny:
- Producing the one-cent coins;
- Storing them;
- Transporting them;
- Going to a financial institution to obtain, roll and deposit them
This petition is to ask for a third party evaluation of these costs to ensure the fair treatment of the penny's demise and account for funds otherwise not accounted for.
23. Stop the Fed
In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson signed into law an unconstitutional bill. With that signature, he created the Federal Reserve system. Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution states, "The Congress shall have Power...To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof."
The Federal Reserve, hereafter called "the Fed," is currently coining money and regulating its value. The Fed has even put the government into debt.
When you pay taxes, you don't pay it to the government; you pay the Fed for the government's debt. It's the greatest thievery in the history of the world.
ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
I have an idea to put this country back on track. The plan is to get the country energy independent and pave the road for a hydrogen fuel based economy. The plan is as follows:
1. Build Synthesis plants at every major coal reserve area, both low and high sulfur, as impurities are removed through synthesis process. This will be done with Federal Reserve money.
2. At least one tank at every facility will have to designate that tank for synthetic gas and one for synthetic diesel if diesel is sold there. Government assistance will be incorporated for this through the means of Federal Reserve funds.
3. Army core of engineers will be involved in the major stages of development as this is an existing entity within the government along with private enterprise, AKA major oil industries that want to participate. Several oil companies, such as Shell, BP, Exon Mobile, want this to happen, because there is a great deal less taxation on synthetic fuels.
4. Utilizing synthetic fuels will reduce pollution by 50% in every major US city, as impurities are removed from the fuel during synthesis process. These impurities are all by-products that the companies can make money off of as there is a market for everything produced. Begin global distribution of synthetic gas and diesel.
5. After establishment of global enterprising, mass production of solar energy panels will be paid for through the massive amount of profit margins gained. Lets turn our deserts into solar arrays. The synthetic fuels is a critical stepping stone in ensuring profitable means to which to pay for the road to the hydrogen fuel based economy.
6. Begin production of hydrogen plants in coastal regions as the natural ocean water is ideal for the ionization to enable use to produce hydrogen by electrolysis out of water. Infrastructure will follow suit and will enable us to become a global energy supplier of hydrogen, the fuel of the future. This will allow fuel cell cars to be cost effective. This will also allow future generations to not have to inherit the problem. We will profit hugely from doing this.
To get there we need petitions going on at every Wal Mart, Kroger, every place that we think a great deal of people go so that we can get enough signatures to enable us to lobby congress into making this happen. I know that I cannot due this alone and that there will have to be donation cans at these places of the petitioning so that we can get the word out to more people. These donations will be used for the purposes of advertising campaigns for the Energy Independence effort.
There is a sense of urgency on this matter as the ever encroachment of high fuel costs is taking a huge toll on the economy. You see, you cannot solve problems without finding the root cause, would you agree? I have found the root cause of economic problems in this country and know it is due to the high cost of energy. Historically since the dawn of the industrial revolution any time we have had it good, the majority of the populas, it is a direct result of cheap reliable energy. I know that by doing this, we could reduce the price of fuel back down to 1.25 per gallon within three years, given things go according to plan. This will reduce the cost of shipping and mainly, most importantly the cost of production of goods and services in this country. What that means is that we are far more competitive in the global economy. I need your assistance in this effort as we need to act fast!
Yours Faithfully,
Matthew W. Packebush
25. The T.E.A. Party will not tolerate racism
The media has reported incidents of racism at TEA Party rallies. Though unsubstantiated in many cases, there is some evidence of this. The goal of this petition is to condemn any sign of racism at any TEA Party event or Town Hall meetings around the country.
By signing this petition, you pledge to condemn racism in politics at every level. The petition signatures will be forwarded to the media, in hopes that they will report this effort.
26. Against Governement Reforms for the Sick and Disabled
Many people with severe medical conditions and disabilities are being automatically forced to undergo a Work Capability Assessment by the private company Atos Healthcare, and having their ESA sickness benefit cut off as a result.
Atos Healthcare is contracted for £500million over 7 years and is working under contract to the DWP to meet the government's target of forcing 1 million claimants onto Employment Support Allowance. Those claimants suffering from the following conditions (Atos' descriptions of the conditions, not mine) are, by policy, automatically required to undergo an assessment: Alcohol Dependence, Anxiety, Depression, Drug Dependence, Panic Attacks.
Those suffering from the following are, by policy, to be ‘tentatively’ invited: Agoraphobia, Anorexia Nervosa, Bipolar Affective Disorder/Bipolar Disease Manic Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Eating Disorder, Learning Difficulties, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobic Anxiety, Social Phobia.
Those suffering from the following may be invited if so advised by the 'Medical Advisor': Mental Retardation, Mental Subnormality, Parkinson's Disease, Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, Severe Depression.
All of us who sign this petition support it, even if we are expats or residents of other countries.
27. Support a future Social Capitalism Party in Ukraine
Please sign our petition to support the establishment of a new future Social Capitalism Party in Ukraine. This is initially a youth movement intended in changing the future of the country for a positive and prosperous, happy life for all citizens, residents, and visitors.
Fundamentals of our manifesto:
1. Abolish Parliament as long as leases of land to other countries exist. The President can make all the decisions on behalf of citizens.
2. Hold referendums on all key decisions to be determined by the popular vote of citizens.
3. Eliminate all corporate profit tax and VAT.
4. Open boarders for free trade. Eliminate customs and import taxes.
5. Increase minimum wage by 4 times in 4 years.
6. Raise pensions to equal amount of minimum wage.
7. Convert abandon buildings into prisons for corrupt individuals and extremists. Implement anti-corruption hot-line and public TV program.
8. Run the government like a business aimed at ensuring all citizens have a share in the "profit"/tax returns.
9. Test all doctors and teachers/professors to ensure they are qualified by international 3rd parties.
10. Invest to ensure school and health care is free as it should be in real practice. Fix what is broken to keep corruption out.
11. Sell land to whomever wants to pay for it at a fair price.
12. Regulate housing costs so the average Ukrainian can afford to buy a home.
13. Implement free trade policy with the world to the envy of every other developing country.
14. Avoid EU, American and Russian alliances that influence our new principles to avoid conflict of interest.
15. Keep Ukrainian as the national official language...this is Ukraine. Allow everyone to speak whatever they choose.
16. Develop "Las Vegas" of Europe somewhere if agreed.
17. Develop American-style amusement park to rival Disney World.
18. Say no to NATO, we are not looking for any wars with anyone by being neutral.
19. Initiate "cultural change" program to motivate citizens to their full potential.
20. Support after school programs such as sports, music, art, etc.
28. Support the promotion of a cashless society
A future cashless society will have several benefits for the community. Firstly, it will increase the detection of crime and be a catalyst for its reduction. As a consequence, it will lower violence in the community.
Secondly, it will reduce the black market that is based on cash and promote the integrity of the income tax base. This will give governments the funds to implement social welfare programs, pay off debt, as well as increase spending on all forms of needed infrastructure.
Thirdly, it will promote greater efficiency in the economy by eliminating the costs of managing cash in terms of counting, securing, and transporting it to banks and other commercial establishments.
The privacy of all Australians is currently protected by national privacy laws. National privacy legislation can be strengthened if needed before the introduction of a cashless economy.
There is absolutely no need for any person or business to apply for any form of credit from any institution, in a proposed Australian cashless society, in order to execute day to day transactions. All Australians can currently apply for and obtain Eftpos Cards, Visa Debit Cards, or Mastercard Debit Cards from any bank or credit union.
The technology for cashless transactions for the visually impaired can and will be developed so that they are not left-out of the means to excecute cashless transactions.
The use of the internet and mobile phone to perform cashless transactions are with us already, or in the case of mobile phones, will be further developed in future using currently available technology called radio frequency identification (RFID).
Australia currently has the technology to become a cashless society. With future research, current cashless methods can be refined while new cashless methods of making purchases can be developed.
29. Abolish the Digital Economy Bill
This bill is a disgrace, swiftly passed through parliament with little debate, only 5% of MP's attending the debate and voted how their respective parties wished them to anyway.
Passed through right before parliament is dissolved so that this cant be brought up in parliament until May/June.
Innocent people will be persecuted by this, having their internet connections removed for simply being suspected of file sharing. This law is far too loose and will have serious application problems. It has introduced censorship to the UK, with the ability for the Secretary of State to block any website he/she believes to be associated with File Sharing. That could include website like Google!
30. Re-Bill and Referendum of Digital Economy Bill [HL] 2009-10
The Bill implements aspects of Government policy on digital media set out in the ‘Digital Britain’ White Paper published in June 2009.
Key areas
-requires Ofcom to report on communications infrastructure and media content
-imposes obligations on internet service providers to reduce online copyright infringement
-allows the Secretary of State to intervene in internet domain name registration
-requires Channel Four to provide public service content on a range of media
-provides more flexibility over the licensing of Channel 3 and Channel 5 services
-modifies the licensing regime to facilitate switchover to digital radio
-allows variation of the public service provision in Channel 3 and 5 licences
-provides Ofcom with additional powers in relation to electromagnetic spectrum access
-extends the range of video games that are subject to age-related classification
-includes non-print formats in the public lending right payment scheme.
