Petition Tag - dounreay dome

Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd are going to demolish the iconic Dounreay sphere which was the containment vessel for the world's first fast breeder nuclear reactor to supply power to a national grid.

It's a site of significance in the progress of the human race. Far from being destroyed, it should be preserved as other historic and important buildings are preserved, and should be a world heritage site.
