1. Release Seasons 3-6 of “Knots Landing” on DVD
“Knots Landing” was a very-well reviewed and very well-rated television show, but due to unsatisfactory-by-the-standards-set-by-its-heyday sales of the first two seasons on DVD, there have been no further releases. As the ninth season of “Dallas” concluded that Bobby's death (which profoundly impacted plots on “Knots Landing”) was a dream of one of the characters on “Dallas,” and the bond between the two shows was severed from that point onward, this petition concerns releasing the seasons of “Knots Landing” where said bond was still present and no further ones.
With the revival of “Dallas” being so popular, the “new generation” of “Dallas” fans watching the new show deserve to see what happened on the “Gary and Val” side of things during the years the bond still existed.
2. ANNUAL COWBOYS VS TEXANS THANKSGIVING DAY GAME
Whereas the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are two NFL teams located in the same state who would be worthy opponents with a huge fan following, including families and friends who could be brought together (as well as torn apart) by an annual Thanksgiving Day battle between the two teams, we would like such an event to become a fixed part of the schedule each season for the teams.
This event stands to be a great monetary contributor to the economy of the state of Texas, as well as the two teams, by providing substantial ticket and other game related sales to both franchises, owners, and retailers in the state. Overriding all the aforementioned benefits however, would be the value of the entertainment contribution.
These two formidable opponents with the support of their dedicated fans, would provide a holiday of immeasurable fun for all!
Too many times Dallas Cowboy fans have been victims of a Romo's late season interceptions or just a poor late season record. It may not always be his fault but let's look a the highlights.
2006 NFC Wild Card at Seattle (L 21-20) bad field goal hold.
2007 NFC Divisional vs. NY Giants (L 21-17) interception
2008 Week 14 at Pittsburgh (L 20-13) omg interception
Dec 30 2012 interception Redskins
There's many more bad games we should have, or needed to, win. In total losing 6 of 7 win or go home games. 1 of 3 in playoffs, 0 of 3 in regular season to get in playoffs.
4. Keep Officer Owens in The Cedars
We, the undersigned, as citizens of The Cedars Neighborhood are asking the Dallas Police Department to keep Officer Shane R Owens as our neighborhood police officer. Since Officer Owens has been our NPO, our crime has decreased significantly. He has been able to bridge gaps between residents and business owners with community involvement.
Officer Owens is a vital part in the success of our neighborhood and do not want to see him removed.
This Promoter has come out of Austin texas into Fort worth Texas and is currently renting out the venue Avalon. He only host TEEN nights at clubs with promoters and more that are above age.
Kids are taking drugs left and right. Sex in the bathrooms and on the dance floor and the venue does nothing about it.
6. Right to Choose Educational Facility
Head Start is a program that was founded by parents and supported by government funds. The organizational structure of Head Start allows parents to vote on issues that will affect their children's well-being. Parents are entitled to reject the decisions made by board members.
The main objective at Head Start, Inc. should be to make sure the children are being taught in a healthy and safe environment. The move of Head Start from its current location to the Paulding's Children's Academy located at 145 Academy Drive in Dallas, Georgia 30132 was not voted on or approved by any parents who children attend the center located at 55 Hiram Drive in Hiram, Georgia 30341.
This move will cause parents to have to make alternate child care arrangements for their children. The center is not within reasonable proximity from each parents home and Head Start does not provide bus transportation for its students.
The new location smells unsanitary upon entering and parents are not allowed to take a walk through the center to get a better idea of the environment in which their children will be learning.

8. Close the Yesteryear Flea Market
Acworth, Georgia - Cobb County.
This petition is being initiated on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 to urge our County Commissioner to close down the Yesteryear flea market. If you are from Cobb County, Paulding County, or Bartow County, I invite you to sign this petition to help keep our local traffic down and protect our neighborhoods.
This petition is initiated to close the Yesteryear flea Market on the corner of Highway 41 and Dallas Acworth Highway in Cobb County Georgia. This flea market has been generating an extreme amount of traffic and backups since the larger Highway 41 flea market closed and the vendors moved to the Yesteryear flea market that the local area cannot support.
The flea market does not have adequete parking for all its visitors. Visitors to the flea market are using residential neighborhoods and U-turn areas with no regard to families and children in those neighborhoods.
Visitors to the flea market are using personal driveways to turn around in and driving above the neighborhood speed limit of 25MPH. Due to this influx of traffic from the flea market, we as residents of the surrounding neighborhoods have had to restrict our children from playing outside and riding bikes in the neighborhood. In addition, it is extremely difficult to get in and out of our neighborhoods due to the increased traffic.
Finally, this property has become a major eye sore and makes the area look bad and decreasing the value of surrounding properties.

We are also petitioning, the City of Dallas Texas, to allow any establishments, that were found to be in violation of operating without a Dancehall Permit and/or After-hours Permit, be allowed to acquire said permit(s), without prejudice.
12. Petition for Road Humps on Larchwood Drive, Dallas
Larchwood Drive in Dallas, Texas, has had a long history of speeding vehicles at all times of the day and night. This is a residential street with many pedestrians. Children use this street as their main path to the neighborhood Elementary and Junior High Schools.
Larchwood residents have also been the victims of random gunfire and more recently gun shots fired into their homes. We believe the installation of road humps will deter traffic through our neighborhood and help return a feeling of security to our families.
Please take a moment to sign this petition via email. Pass it along to other residents in the neighborhood.
Thank you for supporting these improvements to our neighborhood.
13. We Want Block Schedule for Lake Dallas High School
Lake Dallas High School teachers have voted to adopt a 7 period schedule for the students and the student body does not want to switch from the familiar block schedule.
14. Change conflicting policies between Religion and School at ESD
For those unfamiliar with the faith of Islam, one of the many traditions followed by believers of this faith is to grow the beard at fist length (from the chin), and to trim the hair around the upper lip and face. Several passages and sayings (Qu'rran, Hadith),
dictate this as divine law. Recently, a young man of Islamic faith reached the age at which it was deemed appropriate for him to carry out this expression faith. Knowing the school's policy of "no facial hair", he very considerately wrote a letter to several
members of the administration, asking for permission to grow his beard to fist length. He was turned down.
Some would argue that an Episcopalian school reserves the right to deny non-Christian forms of religious expression. However, ESD has chosen, of their own volition, to admit students of non-Christian faith to the school.
The following is a verbatim copy of the mission statement of the Episcopal School of Dallas, which appears on the first page of the 2000-01 edition of the ESD Student Handbook: "The Episcopal School of Dallas, a college preparatory school, is a spiritual community whose mission is to educate young people having A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS AND APTITUDES [my emphasis]. The school is a co-educational, faith-centered environment, with a strong academic and extra-curricular program that ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO DISCOVER THEIR FULL POTENTIAL SPIRITUALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, AND PHYSICALLY. [my emphasis]"
By printing the above text on the first page of the student handbook, ESD has professed to encourage students of different faiths to attend their school, and to strengthen their relationship with God. We see forms of religious expression around us every day at school.
To allow Christians and Jews to express their faith using the previously mentioned religious symbols, while restricting Muslims from growing a beard, ESD has restricted members of a particular faith the freedom to express themselves in ways similar to those
that their Jewish and Christian brothers and sisters do.
Furthermore, by publishing the aforementioned mission statement, while at the same time denying a student his own ways of "discover [himself]spiritually", The Episcopal School of Dallas has shown it's true diversity... or lack thereof. Please sign this
petition to support this Muslim student in his fight for religious expression in a "diverse" school.
