There has always been love for animals. When I learned about what little consequences there were for animal abuse and neglect, I decided that it was best to take action. Most animal neglect cases are only misdemeanors and people rarely see an institution or pay a high price for their crimes.
Animal abuse, abandonment, and lack of help are too common in our world, and this will help assist those who cannot help themselves. Most people who have pets know that they are wonderful companions, and that they will continue to be as long as they are cared for. Additionally, many people do not think about how unfortunate it is when an animal does not have a home. Immanuel Kant once said, "He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men... We can judge the heart of a man by his dealings with animals." Anyone who would harm or neglect an animal most likely would harm or neglect a human too. A way to help prevent this would be stricter laws against anyone who abuses or neglects an animal. Help to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

3. Improving Conditions in Puppy Mills
In puppy mills dogs are crammed into small cages where they cannot stand up and do not receive the needed exercise. The dogs sleep in there own urine and contract illnesses from the hazardous cages. The cages are stacked on top of each other. The dogs do not receive proper veterinary care and their injuries cause deformities and sometimes death. There immune systems and bones are weak and this makes it easier for them to get sick. They are neglected and the only time the miller visits is to take away puppies, kill dogs that cannot produce anymore, or throw away dead animals. Female dogs produce litter after littler until they are not able to anymore. They care for their young until the miller comes and takes the puppies away. These are horrible conditions that are completely inhumane.

5. Kenya's Flawed/Rigged Election On 27 Dec 2007
Mr. Kibaki must step down and give way for Mr. Raila A. Odinga - the people's president because Kibaki is in the office illegally and has imposed himself on Kenyans.
Even though Kenya has struggled to gain democratic space, the behavior of Mr. Kibaki takes Kenya years back into colonial era.
The evidence does not need more corroboration since:
The just ended Kenyan election ECK Boss admits, Yes, vote tallying had problems, admits Kivuitu. And when he demanded all constituency tallies, he found some figures were not the ones he had personally seen, he said. As of Tuesday, he added, the commission had not received the official Form 16 from four constituencies. The forms give the actual figures from constituencies signed by the returning officer.
It is those forms that had raised a furor when ODM leaders disputed the results, arguing that 49 constituencies had not submitted them and that the ECK was merely using a computer generated form that could be done anywhere. He said the officer had shown him forms of two constituencies — Juja and Kieni — whose results had been tampered with and the returning officer had not counter-signed, as is the normal practice. A shocked Mr Kivuitu said: “What surprised me was the files I saw yesterday (Tuesday) were very clean and the two files I saw (previously) were very dirty because of the cancellation.” He had informed his commissioners that he was dissatisfied.
Three issues to note:
1. No Going to Kenyan Courts: The matter cannot be resolved in the Kenyan courts because at the hall where the rigging and manipulation was taking place was the Justice Ministers Martha Karua and Internal Security Minister John Michuki. They were privy to what was taking place and maybe part of the rigging. So they cannot be trusted.
2. No Fare Judgment: Chief Justice took part in swearing the rigged in president at night knowingly the vote was rigged. Thus he is also part of the election problem facing Kenyans now and since judiciary is under his docket, there may not be a fair hearing.
3. Need for interim Government: As indicated by the Kenyan Attorney General Amos Wako that an independent investigation into vote results that led to President Mwai Kibaki's disputed re-election. This may not be possible since all the documents to be relied upon during the exercise have been severely tampered with by the government agents, stolen from KICC by the government that’s determined to erase all the evidence to cover her tracks in the melee and or lacks credibility.
This only gives way for an independent arbiter that can be impartial in the fact-finding mission while an interim government is in place while waiting for fresh elections. This must be within a short time say, three months at most.
All Kenyans know is that Kibaki did not win the elections but has robbed Kenyans.
Chinese law cannot cover to Taiwan.
It cannot take care of Taiwanese people.
7. Allow 9 metre hedges under the High Hedges Legislation
Having just had my privacy compromised by my next door neighbour putting up a loft dormer overlooking my garden, I note that cannot put a fence more than 2 metres high and that I cannot plant a hedge for screening because of the High Hedge Legislation. This allows trees or hedges to go no further than 2 metres high.

Classical Chinese should be maintained.
Simplified Chinese is NOT part of the Chinese culture or heritage.
It is made out just for conveneince sake for those who cannot read clasical Chinese and it has no literature value.
9. Call for the Removal of Prince Harry from the British Army
Prince Harry will not be sent to Iraq, the head of the British army has said.
General Sir Richard Dannatt said the prince's deployment would pose an "unacceptable" threat to him and the men who served alongside him.
Clarence House said Prince Harry was "very disappointed" but will not be leaving the Army as a result.
If he cannot serve in a war, then why is he in the army?
10. Call Taiwan's different political parties to unite against the Chinese Communist Party
Taiwan's Pan Blues and Pan Greens have been striving with each other for a time that makes Taiwanese people sick.
Taiwanese people should realize that the real threat is neither Blue nor Green, but the Communist regime across the strait.
If the Communists had never stolen the nation of China, the Nationalists would not have applied "White Terror" in Taiwan; thus, the native Taiwanese would not have been oppressed by the 1949 fleets; thus, there would not have been so much conflict between the Blues and the Greens today.
In fact, as Dr. Sun Yat-Sen suggested, Taiwan should be independent, if there had never been riots by the Communists in China, the Nationalists probably would never have occupied Taiwan, and Taiwan now would be Republic of Taiwan.
While the Greens are accusing the Blues of loving China instead of Taiwan, the real threat comes from the Communists. The Blues never set up weapons against Taiwan, the Communists do.
Since the Nationalist Party is Chinese Nationalist Party, the most ideal to finish the whole strife on Taiwan's political stage is to send the Nationalists back to China.
However, as long as the Communists are still in charge of China, the Blues cannot return to China; and Taiwan cannot join the UN as an independent nation.

Cassie cannot sing or dance she lip sync on trl and her performance was horrible.
It is not fair that struggeling singers who sing way better then cassie dont have deals.
And in a radio interview with cassie a dj asked her to sing and she said no the dj asked why and she said because she was scared. Cassie is a singer thats what she is suppose to do SING!.
Cassie performed on 106 and park on augest 8th 2006 and she sang horrible. When she records her songs in the studio her voice is inhanced by a machine....therefore CASSIE CAN'T SING.

14. Develop Patch for Older Games
I've created this petition to try to get Microsoft to create a patch to allow older (Windows 95/98) programs workable.
As almost all computer owners are aware, there are many games, as well as other applications, that were made before Windows XP was released, and will not work with Windows XP.
Countless dollars have gone into buying computer games, with the idea that you will always have the game to play. As time went on, Windows 95 turned to 98, and that evolved into ME. My first computer was a Windows 95, which I upgraded to 98, and all of my games worked. I soon bought a new computer with Windows ME on it, and many of my games still worked just fine. Then came Windows XP.
Upgrading to XP is pretty unavoidable, as all new programs are mainly manufactured for XP use. With upgrading to XP, you are losing the ability to play older computer games. I presonally have over 150 games that I am unable to play now. I probably spent an average of $10-$20 each on them, so that is alot of now wasted money.
I am now hesitant to buy any games for my new computer because they may not work in the next version of Windows.
Please, sign this petition to help me in my struggle to get Microsoft to develop a way to play older games on the computer.

15. Oust PAPD Officers Michael Kan and Craig Lee
On July 13, 2003, at 10:34 p.m., Palo
Alto Police Department (PAPD) rookie
Craig Lee drove his police car up to
59-year-old Albert Hopkins, who was
sitting in his parked car on Oxford
Avenue near the intersection of the El
Camino Real in Palo Alto. Lee asked
Mr. Hopkins for identification. Mr.
Hopkins did not initially give his
name, but later confirmed his identity
and his Palo Alto address.
When PAPD rookie Michael Kan stopped
his police car nearby, Lee spoke to
Kan. Kan walked over and ordered Mr.
Hopkins out of his car, and tried to
pull him out. Kan and Lee repeatedly
hit Mr. Hopkins with their batons,
while Mr. Hopkins tried to ward off
blows. Kan and Lee also doused him
extensively with pepper spray. Mr.
Hopkins was overcome, temporarily
blinded, handcuffed, and transported
to the hospital where he was treated
for body injuries, and a swelling near
his eye.
PAPD launched an immediate
investigation, which culminated in Kan
and Lee being charged with felony
assault and misdemeanor battery by a
Peace Officer. During the criminal
trial, all of the senior officers
that arrived on the scene that night
testified that they were concerned
that Kan and Lee could not provide a
reason for arresting Mr. Hopkins, and
so there seemed to be no justification
for use of force.
Presented with a strong case against
the two rookies, 8 jurors were certain
Kan and Lee were guilty: a 2-1 margin
favoring conviction. Despite all this,
Kan and Lee are being returned to
their jobs (after a plea deal let them
off with a mere $250 fine), and we are
told: "it's time to put it to rest and
move on".
We say there can be no rest until our
leaders realize it's time for Kan and
Lee to move on.
This petition arises not from malice
but the desire to safeguard the
community, as we strongly believe:
1. They are not fit for the job. As a
result of their beating of Albert
Hopkins on July 13 2003, and despite
the shocking deal that drastically
reduced the charges, the fact remains
that Officers Kan and Lee each pleaded
'no contest' to a criminal charge of
an act of illegal public violence
while on duty.
Yet, we have not seen Officers Kan and
Lee publicly take responsibility for
their misconduct. Instead, their court
testimony blamed the victim of their
criminal violence - who was not
arrested for any crime - while
belittling the response of their
supervisors that night. Does this
behavior reflect the discipline and
respect for the law that is
fundamentally required of law
enforcement officers? Or does it
indicate a profound employment
mismatch - that cannot be overcome
with any amount of retraining?
2. They cannot serve the interests of
the Palo Alto community. As reflected
in our budget, the safety of the
community is Palo Alto's highest
priority. As the locus of Silicon
Valley and home of Stanford
University, Palo Alto's community
includes guests welcomed from around
the world, that expect and are
entitled to the universal human right
and Constitutional protection) of
freedom from arbitrary arrest or
detention and unreasonable use of
force.
Given its profound authority, our
police force must not include those
who trample the rights of those they
serve, while rejecting the good
judgment of those they serve under.
3. Continuing their employment poses
unacceptable risks. Studies on police
misconduct, such as the Christopher
Commission report (an examination of
LAPD four months after the King
beating), have found that the heart of
the problem is failure to act upon the
few officers using excessive force.
Those officers frequently then go on
to become repeat offenders, who are
responsible for many of the cases that
cost the city in civil suits.
Palo Alto has already paid a $250,000
settlement for Kan and Lee's use of
force. How much would a jury penalize
the city in the next claim that may
result from their use of force, given
that the city was aware of the risk
and chose to ignore it? With budget
revenue rapidly shrinking, how are
such expenses justified?
Therefore, we call on the City Manager
to immediately take this step toward
freeing Palo Alto from the risks and
stigma of brutal injustice that we
believe Officers Kan and Lee's tenure
here has brought us, and begin
restoring Palo Alto as a community
united in its concern for public
safety and human rights.

During that time, I tried to get food stamps, and the process was so ridiculously long and hard, I never got them! Now if an attorney can't figure out the system, how can the rest of the country figure it out. I live now on disability and my bills are way more than my income every month. I can't even afford to pay my student loans. Great country, huh?

18. We need the Return of ALL double trolleys at Tesco
In Lancashire Tesco is replacing it's stock of ALL double seated trolleys with single ones. The members of Lancashire Twins, Triplets & More find this unacceptable, as only two or maybe three double trolleys are now available.
1 in 67 births is a Twin one, so the ratio of double trolleys is not acceptable. (triplet trolleys are even more scarce and usually non-existent)
We feel that by removing all the double trolleys, that Tesco are discriminating against us. If we cannot find a suitable trolley then we cannot shop!
Parents across Lancashire see this move as a backward step and want Tesco to return their double trolleys. We are sure that this reduction in double trolleys is happening throughout the UK and want to make our views known to ALL companies.

19. Universal Healthcare in the USA
Single payer health insurance is standard in most of the developed world.
The United States, its companies and its workers cannot compete against nations where health care is standard infrastructure.
Whereas: The escalating costs of health insurance and health care are creating unprecedented strains on our economy;
Whereas: our businesses function in a global economy where healthcare is provided as infrastructure for the competition;
Whereas: there are presently 45 million uninsured Americans;
Whereas: healthcare costs are a leading cause of corporate and personal bankruptcies; and
Whereas: our spending on Medicare and Medicaid alone exceeds per capita spending for universal coverage in other developed countries;
Whereas: the federal, state and local governments of the United States already spend 45% of all healthcare dollars;
Whereas: healthcare costs continue to grow at a rate in excess of three times the Consumer Price Index, growth which cannot be sustained.
We, the undersigned, do hereby petition the Congress of the United States to establish a system of Universal Healthcare for all Americans.
Such a system would embody the following features:
(a) Care and coverage universally available for all;
(b) Freedom to choose service provider;
(c) Single-payer insurance similar to other developed nations.
20. Change US Military Enlistment Policy
Currently the US Military turns down hundreds of applicants due to their criminal record. I believe this is an unfair policy. You cannot judge one's character by whats in a computer or on paper. Character and devotion to our freedom comes from within. There are people who would gladly serve and devote their lives for their country who are turned down because of their past mistakes. Serving in the US Armed forces teaches things a prison or a civilian workplace cannot teach. It teaches teamwork, discipline, devotion.
When you're serving in the military you are taught to think of your country before yourself. You are trained to die for your country if required. You fight for your country's freedom. What better way to ensure that protection then to open this opportunity to everyone. In this time of war we're in a shortage of manpower because those trusted to our country's protection are not willing to fight anymore, or are getting killed.
We need a strong military and we can't do that without enlisting more soldiers.
Ticket touting is a million pound industry that blights the enjoyment of thousands of people. Fans should be entitled to buy tickets at fair prices without the constant threat of losing out to ticket touts.
We call upon the British Government to tackle this problem that cannot be ignored any longer. Please consider the following;
Instruct the Live Music Forum to investigate the impact of touting and scalpers upon the live music industry (which has proved to be successful in the Victorian State Government in Australia)
Encourage limits on the number of tickets available in any one transaction.
Encourage a 'free returns' policy like in theatres. This limit the number of tickets sold to touts when holders cannot attend an event.
Encourage internet auction sites to clamp down on illegal ticket touting on their sites.
22. Politician 40 Hour work week
Politicians should be require to work in office a minimum 40 hour work week like every other American. In addition to the responsibility to the United States, they should be required to do their duties, such as voting on issues, signing laws, and have the time they are spending in the Captial Accounted for.
23. Changes To WORK PERMIT LAWS to help the Bangladeshi restaurant industry
The growing problems we are facing in the Bangladeshi Restaurant industry is a countrywide dilemma.
Throughout the country, Indian restaurateurs say they are struggling with a staffing crisis. With the younger generation preferring college than work in the restaurant trade, Restaurant owners are looking to their homeland to fill vacancies for chefs and waiters.
Thousands of work visa applications are being blocked by one side of government e.g. the British High Commission in Bangladesh, despite having been given the go ahead by Home Office, Work Permits U.K at a cost of £153 per visa.
As many work permits are refused because David Blunkett strict migration rule on Bangladeshi's placed upon Work Permits U.K to stop Permits being issued without reason. As they are meeting the criteria. I have many cases of this around the country.
The 'Indian' restaurant sector has traditionally been dominated by Bangladeshis and this is still very much evident. For example, of the 9,500 Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants and takeaways in the UK, employing over 72,000 personnel (more than the coal, steel and shipbuilding industries combined) and with an annual turnover of some £2.3 billion, approximately 85% are exclusively owned by Bangladeshis. A recent Labour Force Survey conducted in 1997 discovered that over 60% of male Bangladeshi employees and self-employed worked in the restaurant trade compared to 40% of Chinese but only 2% of Indian and 1% of white males.
We think and believe it to be true there are about 20,000 people short, we cannot understand what the David Blunkett is achieving by stopping people coming when they would contribute to the economy and pay taxes.
The Bangladeshi Restaurant industry is highly concerned is the Sector based scheme, the staff that the restaurants has already employed on the scheme, how does David Blunkett desire to explain to the Bangladeshi Restaurant industry that they will have to provide service with out staff to fill the places of the returning Work Permit Holders.
The Bangladeshi Restaurant industry is anxious and very stressed on the situation. The feel that some law should come in separately for the Sector based Scheme a suggestion made from the Bangladeshi Restaurant industry is that the Sector based Scheme permit holders should be able to remain without recourses to public funds and they are not eligible for U.K settlement entitlement on Sector based Scheme but may work as long as they wish. We only see this as the only way to save the Bangladeshi Restaurant industry from this dilemma.
The Full Skilled Work Permit law should be changed to standards that cannot be discriminated against, e.g. a standard that is recognized for Bangladesh as it does not have same specifics to U.K but equivalent, but a standard must be met by David Blunkets that he cannot select at his discretion and choose time of breeding new Work permits.
If the above concerns in question are not a concern for David Blunkett then the scheme in question was not designed to solve restaurant staffing, it was to kill the Bangladeshi Restaurant industry.
24. Abolish Ban on Gay Marriage
This election year Issue 1 was passed in Ohio, banning gay marriage. Similar amendments were passed in 10 other states. This is wrong. People should be allowed to marry whoever they want, no one can take this right away.
There have been no laws like this since Jim Crow, and this is disgraceful. We cannot let our country travel down this road again.
25. Outsmart & Stop The Hackers at Neopets !!!

It has always been a known fact that people try to scam/crack people out of their passwords. But now it seems like too big of a problem. The idea of adding the security code estinguished the cracking option that hackers did have. But it seems that other people have the whitts to outsmart people out of their password, & neopet glitches occur, what we are proposing will also greatly lessen the option of this.
We, the people of neopets propose that; The Neopets Team would put a lock on the profile page also placing the link of the self freeze site only inside the profile page, which would mean that any information cannot be changed without a proper code designated at signup and something that only an email could retrive w/ a special retrive password page. And, without knowing the 2nd password to access the profile page.
The, "hackers/scammers", cannot see the e-mail in the account to e-mail hack their account. Only the person/owner of the account will know what it was they signed up with. This would stop hackers from password changing (locking out the actual owner from saving their account & any prefrences edited without the knowledge of the owner. Also, from freezing the account they are hacking. This would sae you all alot of headaches, time and begging E-mails when hackers attack.
The 2nd password page, to gain access to the profile site, mentioned earlier would require a question that the owner of the account creates (to help make it easy for them to remember, but not hackers to know. On opening an account they would section from a dropdown a list of personal questions, easy for the owner to know, hard for a hacker. i.e-
Who was my best friend since 1st grade?
Let's just say the answer is ashley so when you go to retrieve any settings you would have to type to that answer (ashley) to be able to access the profile page. This protects hackers from seeing our birthday and e-mail etc.. so, they cant try to E-mail the account saying its theres with our private information.. later on after hacking us..
In addition, that When you make this option, neopets has a e-mail sent to everyone with current active accounts for an activation of our 2nd password for our profile page. The activation have Question Options to chose from like 6 different ones. - i.e. What is your mothers birth State. Then you type in your answer -ex. Idaho.. Then, submit to active - Now this answer is the only way you can getinto the profile. Hackers will never be able to see your profile only you. ON this page there be a resend 2nn profile password. When it shows the next page - this page ask two questions - what is your birthday and your zipcode. Then and only then if you answer right (as noone see's your birthday - its in your profile -) it will only then send to your e-mail. Protecting all of neopia and stopping hackers and even scammers.
In conclusion, Neopets we write you this because we want the hacking to stop. Neopets is just a game to most but to some of us its a different life where all of our friends are. If you took in effect, it would immensly increase the complication to hack our accounts. If they did get in, we are still able to stop them!
26. Stop on Street Parking on SE 18th
SE 18th in Hillsboro is a deadend and very narrow road that two cars can barely pass. If cars are parked on the street there are parts of SE 18th that two cars cannot pass. If you turn off of Main Street and start up the incline and cars are parked on the street you cannot see if another car is proceeding down the hill nor can two cars pass in that area.
This petition is to clearly state that we want cheaper broadband & adsl plans in Australia, particularly unlimited plans. Australia has large and unfair 'limits' on broadband which most people cannot afford. We are behind in our pricing and development on broadband/adsl. The internet is fastly developing a larger need for adsl users, which most users simply cannot afford!
We need cheaper & more reliable adsl, and we do not need small shaped plans - We have a demand for unlimited. Making this cheaper will also earn Australian Computer Companies more revenue, and our currency higher, with our technology soaring higher. This pertition is to show a small percentage of people, out of the millions, that really do care about this issue.

29. Petition against Admin resigning from HBFFA
Please sign this petition so Admin can see how many players want him to stay and run the server. The server cannot run without him, under Boss's control it will fill with corruption. A 14yr old with his history and lack of responsibility should not be hosting such a large server, or any server at all for that matter.
30. Habbo Hotel
As you may or may not know on the 17th of October 2003 our good friend got scammed by :.kedjo.:
:.kedjo.: downloaded a virus to elprice9's computer which enabled him to read everything she wrote including passwords that she entered. One of the passwords she entered was to habbo hotel. On the evening of the 17th at 11.40pm :.kedjo.: logged into her habbo account and moved all of her furni to his rooms.
What we are asking with this petition is that :.kedjo.: gets banned from habbo hotel so that he cannot do this to anyone else and that hopefully elprice9 will get her furni back.
I think we all realize that he cannot be allowed to do this to anyone else, not only is it annoying but many of us paid for our furni and now it has all gone to waste. This is no ordinary scam and we are unsure if it has happened to anyone else, we ask that this scam is brought to the attention of the other members of habbo hotel so that they can watch out for it.
