1. Save Swimming in Perth - Arena Swim Club 
Arena Swim Club is the largest Swimming Club in the North of Perth with over 90 competitive members from juniors to state and national swimmers.
The club is non profit and has run out of the WA State Owned Venues West Arena Complex for the past 10 years. Venues West has provided the club with use of the complex and coaching staff for 10 years but has decided that it needs to make revenue from the club.
Venues west are now demanding that the Arena Swim Club pay for its coaches, pay for hire of the swim lanes ($100,000 per year after a few years) and also pay full public swimming entry fees everytime the swimmers enter the complex to go to the lanes they have already paid $100,000 to hire!! Double charging.
The whole point of this petition is to get atlus and system ark works to release the game Persona 4 Arena on Pc, which has been only released for PS3 and Xbox 360.
3. NHL Arena must be 100% privately owned and funded
Markham Town Council has approved a proposal for a Sports, Entertainment & Cultural Centre including a financial framework and partnership with GTA Sports.
We as residents are opposed to having any financial agreements with anyone to fund this facility.
It needs to be owned by the private sector and not Town of Markham.
The current name "Orville Acres Arena" could be in jeopardy and we need your help to save the name.
The arena was named after a past member of our community who dedicated his time to many organizations within the community and to show our thanks a dedication in his name was made to the arena.
5. Civic Center Employee Parking
The new Arena will be taking over a parking lot of which City/County employees park to get to work. We will lose 119 spaces and 5 handicap spaces. (Not including the several 1 hour parking spots that were available).
Currently Vanderburgh County employs approximately 850 full time employees and approximately 129 people employed by the City, not including the Police Dept.
Events that take place during weekdays at The Centre sometimes draw numbers in the thousands. When there are daytime events happening during the work week at The Centre, Civic Center employees have a very difficult time finding a parking spot in order to come to work. After the 10,000 seat Arena is built, that situation will only worsen. While they are building the Arena, will there also be a number of construction workers and pieces of equipment using the 'back 40'? There are other people that use the 'back 40', i.e. Signature School students, employees from the walkway and adjacent businesses.
Those of us with a one hour lunch period and need to leave for lunch, have a hard time getting back in an hour. Half of that time is spent on getting to and from our cars and the near impossible feat of finding another parking spot when returning from lunch!
Dave Rector sometimes sends memos informing Civic Center workers that there will be parking problems on certain days because of events at The Centre. If there are problems now, what is it going to be like when the Arena is open? We are told to get to work earlier to accommodate this problem. We do not get paid to come in early, just to make sure we have a parking spot to get to our jobs! We are not guaranteed a parking spot when we come to work. We have no designated spots for only City/County workers.
Possible solutions would be for each employee to have a permit to park in a specific spot. Or a well-patrolled parking garage behind the Civic Center. A walk overpass from that garage to the Civic Center would be ideal. Trolley service would also be a good solution for employees to use when having to park a long distance from the office. We know that walking is healthy but no one should have to walk several blocks in snow and ice and freezing temperatures in order to get to work, especially our handicap employees!
The City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County currently rents space in the Civic Center Complex from the Building Authority. Does this agreement include parking spaces? Businesses are required to have a certain number of parking spaces available for employees and customers. Does the Civic Center meet those requirements?
Recently fans have been told that there may be a change in location regarding the 2009 Arena Cup. Currently the final playoff game is held at the higher seed teams home field. The new rules would change this game to a neutral location.
7. Ottawa....a very dull city but I hope that's all about to change!
Do you live in Ottawa? Are you jealous of how powerful Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal have become? If you are then sign this petition. My goal is to put Ottawa on the map, I mean we are the Nation's capital, or did we all forget?
When it comes to the music industry I don't know where to start artist's and rock bands just seem to skip us...why??? Maybe because unlike Toronto we've only got one arena the Scotia Bank Place while in Toronto you find numerous arena's and performing centres. If you were an artist what would convince you to perform in a city like ours? These "stars'' are looking for a city with an active night-life but the last time I checked we don't have a night-life. So just what makes these few artists want to come here besides coming for their fans?? Who knows...And aren't you frustrated to have to go shopping over at Toronto because they have cheap yet nice clothes and in Ottawa it's the same old plain stuff every year and every month?. Lately Donald Trump has been building a new Trump International Hotel and Tower in Toronto (Anticipated completion is 2008). The first in Canada but why shouldn't it be in the capital? Because Toronto is where everything's at! Not that it's a bad thing Toronto is an awesome place it's been nominated as being one of the most livable places in the world. But as for Ottawa I really don't understand how our city can be this..this..BORING!The only thing keeping us from giving the title of capitalism to Toronto is the Parliament we have here.
Just to make a comparaison Toronto has the Toronto Zoo ...why don't we have a zoo? Not that I have a particuliar liking for zoo's but simple things like having zoo's distinguishes one city from another. With all the gouvernement activities going on in this city, couldnt they spare us some time and make plans to make this city a cultural city I mean you'd think with all these cultures Ottawa would represent its constant growth of diversity and try to bring some life into this city. 5 years ago if you asked me : what is the capital of Canada? I would have replied Toronto. And sadly this is what most people not only in Canada but in many other countries reply.
We must do something about this to save the Nation's capital from being forgotten.
Atlantic Yards is one of the newest projects in Brooklyn. Looming over the MTA and LIRR's Vanderbuilt rail yards, it is one of the most constructive projects to be done this decade according to atlantic yard.com.
The project of Atlantic Yards' surrounding perimeter is Flatbush avenue, Pacific street, Dean Street, and Vanderbuilt avenue. Which is in the area of Downtown Brooklyn . Atlantic Yards is a 4.2 billion dollar project that includes a sports and entertainment arena that will be home to the basketball team the nets, new buildings for commercial and office space, open space, and a hotel.
Atlantic Yards will solve the problems of insufficient buildings and housing. There is just not enough residential space, such as apartments in downtown Brooklyn. The apartments that do exist have several setbacks such as bad plumbing and heating, broken ceilings cracked walls, and broken windows. New buildings are desperately needed. The unemployment rate is high due to a lack of bussiness in retail according to the "Brooklyn Market Review of Spring 2006", recent developments have been steadily improving Downtown Brooklyn's economy.
The Atlantic Yards project will bring a multitude of economic activity, that will provide many jobs for Downtown Brooklyn. One of the two main sources that will bring jobs into the area are the construction projects and the new NETSb arena.
The four Atlantic Yards communities are seperated by the railyards. The railyards prevents citizens from easily going from one community to the other. The Atlantic Yards project solves this problem by connecting the communities by turning most of the railyards into open- space. Atlantic yards is a project that will create more jobs, set up affordable housing and build new buildings.
The solution to downtown Brooklyn's problems is the Atlantic Yards project. The Atlantic Yards project will create 6,860 homes of mixed income. Of which 4,500 will be rental units. Half of these will be put aside for middle and low income families. This will solve the problem of high rent and lack of housing for people in the Atlantic Yards area. Due to the construction on the Atlantic Yards project new construction job oppurtunities will be available. Forest City Ratner ( an urban real estate company , the head of Atlantic Yards) has promised minority and women owned companies will be the prioritry for hire.
The Construction of Atlantic Yards will create enough jobs to last for ten years. In addition to creating new jobs, Atlantic Yards which will be built over the rail yards will connect the four existing Brooklyn Communities and provide new open space. The new development Atlantic Yards will be a great happenning. Downtown Brooklyn will look cleaner ( without any of the new Brooklyn Buildings that were cracked or broken) and more organized. Building the Nets arena will cause another subway opening , which leads directly to ten subway lines and the LIRR, which will reduce traffic. Also the Atlantic Yards project will fit in nicely with the skyline of existing communities. The economic benefits of the project are 6 billion dollars in tax revenue, new jobs, and greater oppurtunity for bussiness to thrive according to Atlantic Yards .com. Atlantic Yards, by creating millions of jobs, bringing in an arena, putting out plenty of affordable homes, and bringing in revenue will be, according to sports economist andrew Zimbalist Brooklyn's greatest " economic generator".

11. Basketball arena named after James Tanksley

After Many Years of Service and Dedication of James Tanksley and due to his unlikely death we the citizens of this great City and County are aking that a Basketball Arena be named in his Honor at our County Community Recreation Center located in Sylvania, Georgia.
We the citizens of Georgia and supporters elsewhere support this request.
12. To allow all ages to Muse concert in Brisbane
Description:
British rock band Muse plan to tour Australia on numerous dates in September. One of these dates being September 11 in Brisbane where they will be playing at The Arena. However, this concert apparently is for over 18s only! (The Arena said via email) However The Arena website stated "Over 18 unless advertised elsewhere" well numerous sites have said the concert was for all ages.
13. Avril For Odyssey Arena Belfast!
I like many others had to travel to Dublin which was our nearest venue to see the great Avril Lavigne in concert. I of course didn't have a problem with this but some people who are as far north as me were quite ruffled. I would be very happy to travel to Dublin again to see Avril in her upcoming tour but I would also love to see Avril play in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Avril has a huge fan base in Northern Ireland and also in Dublin and I'm sure Dubliners would also jump at the chance of seeing her twice, this time around. So please weither you're from Ireland Norhtern Ireland, America, england scotland whatever! sign it!!!!
14. Bring Back Silent Butcher to the Telstra Game Arena
We believe that the Player [DE]-Silent Butcher was unjustly banned from the Telstra Game Arena.
In the three years following the initial release of Unreal Tournament, a thriving community of UT Snipers has developed. This community has now grown to include thousands of online gamers who regularly populate servers in an attempt to perfect strategies of stealth and the element of individual aim. Despite this, the developers of UT2003 have declined to include the traditional sniper rifle in their new release. Instead, they have replaced the rifle with a "lightning gun" which is so vastly dissimilar from the pre-existing rifle in terms of mechanics and operation as to be an entirely different weapon in essence and performance.
To this end, this petition requests the inclusion of a sniper arena mod for UT2003 which includes the traditional sniper rifle or some reasonable fascimile thereof.
As loyal supporters of the Unreal series of games, we express our gratitude for the creative work of Digital Extremes, Epic and affiliated organizations involved in the effort to continue the standard of excellence manifest that they have so ably established on our behalf. We only ask that the skills and strategies that we have labored so dilligently to possess and perfect not be ignored or abandoned for the sake of a "balanced" gameplay which eliminates many elements of performance which have attracted us to Unreal and held our interest over the course of several years. Although the mod community would undoubtedly move to rectify this situation, such a mod could concievably result in weeks or even months of delay for those UT weapons players and snipers who seek only to move quickly to support UT2003 with our purchase and our play.
To this end, we, the undersigned, request that UT2003 be made to include a sniper arena mod which contains the traditional sniper rifle or some reasonable fascimile thereof.
