Petition Tag - animal abuse
1. Accept Pet Guardianship in Texas
Animals have the ability to do so much for us, as far as saving your life. However no matter how many abusive people the SPCA find and stop, the abuse still lives on in another home.
Abuse is a horrible virus that never stops or lessens on its own, we must do something about it so please sign this petition in hope that they will creat a new law for pet guardianship.
The poor baby calfs are let out of the stall and literally run for their life because if they get caught they choke get wrapped up and are either seriously injured or dead.
Also the bucking broncos buck because a freaking jerk ties a tight rope on his ball sack and the horse is hurt and bucks.
These men employed by Inghams Enterprises, responsible for this gross act of cruelty and disregard for helpless turkeys have been fired from Inghams.
Absolute proof of doomed turkeys being tortured and beaten minutes before death.
4. Stop the neglect & abuse of 4 horses in Clowne Chesterfield
Four horses in field in Derbyshire have been left all winter. They are emaciated, have raw open untreated sores on them, in a field that had no grazing what so ever, the whole field is inches deep in thick mud!
RSPCA have been out a couple of times but done nothing, they didn't even see just how skinny & sore the horses are as they had rugs on covering any evidence ogle neglect. We want something done to save these horses from terrible conditions & let them have a long & happy life.
The RSPCA need to act when concerns are first raised so that cases like thisneed never happen again!!
5. More pro-animal apps and less pro-hunting ones
If you have an iPhone, iPad or other Apple device, and search "hunting" under "apps", you will find loads of pro-hunting ones, and almost no anti-hunting apps.
Sport hunting is cruelty to animals. Period.
I can understand that some people, and some animals, need to hunt to survive, but hunting for fun or for profit is totally inexcusable and barbaric. We need more animal rights apps and less of those ones that promote cruelty, and at is why it is important for those of use who care about animals to buy pro-animal apps, sign this petition and send polite messages to Apple to spread compassion.
6. Remove "BAN Pitbulls" from facebook
This petition is to remove the following discriminating pages from Facebook that condone animal abuse:
https://www.facebook.com/banthepitbull
https://www.facebook.com/pitbulldangers
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pitbull-KennelsGame-Dogs/401518719869202
Most people eat meat such as pork, chicken, turkey, cow, etc... We also have dairy produce that comes from cows and chickens. But while we're enjoying these foods and drinks, animals in slaughterhouses are being tortured.
Animals are intelligent creatures and don't deserve this torture. The slaughterhouses are also filthy and the meat isn't always healthy. A lot of people die every year from food poisoning.

9. STOP CRUEL FUR TRADE OF CATS, DOGS, RACOONS and many OTHER ANIMALS IN CHINA
THE FUR TRADE INVOLVES HORRIFIC ACTS OF SADISTIC PRIMITIVE ANIMAL ABUSES.
AN INCREASING OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, POLITICIANS and more people around the world HAVE COME TOGETHER TO GATHER THE EVIDENCES OF WHAT ONE ORGANIZATION, ARCHANGEL, HAS CALLED, "CRIMES AGAINST "HUMANIMALITY".
See WWW.ANIMALGUARDIANNEWS.WIX.COM/ARCHANGEL
ANIMALS NEED YOUR VOICE TO RESCUE THEM FROM A LIFE OF TORTURE AND SENSELESS KILLING.
STOP THESE DISTURBING ACTS OF ANIMAL ABUSES NOW BY SIGNING THIS PETITION!
Breeding dogs in puppy mills throughout this country suffer unimaginable pain, filth and starvation each day. Regulated by the USDA, these animals are left to suffer at the hands of inhumane people.
Many of the females are bred to death. They do not receive veterinary care. They suffer with infections, broken bones, missing eyes, and if they bark too much a metal rod is forced down their throat to sever the vocal cords!
11. Scarecrow dogs - Expose Bulgaria's dirty little secret
It's been going on for centuries in the mountain range villages of Bulgaria. Clear evidence of the unsurpassed, undying evil genius of the Bulgarian Homo Rapiens.
Instead of placing scarecrows, poor, defenseless dogs are regularly tied up by the villagers with a short, rusty chain to a post in the wilderness, near someone's ranch, to scare away predators. The chain leaves for little or no movement on the muddy ground.
Soiled in their urine and feces, frustrated, left without food or water for days in the scorching 40 C heat, exposed to predators, unable to fight or run, uncared for, unwanted, untreated and forgotten, they die in agony and terror from thirst, starvation, disease, or their wounds if attacked and mutilated by the raving beasts.
This kind of abuse is common and widespread. Despite the numerous tragic reports of dogs who have suffered and died in such despicable conditions, nothing has been done by the regulatory authorities or the police to amend the situation or punish those responsible.
This kind of animal neglect should never happen. But when it does, it must be exposed and stopped.
12. Stop Testing Products on Animals
Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside cold, barren cages in laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, ache with loneliness and long to roam free and use their minds.
Instead, all they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them.

13. Ban the Use of Elephants in the American Circus
Behind the scenes of the circus, elephants are being abused physically and psychologically. Bull hooks, long rods with steel hooks at the end, are used to stab the elephants as a common form of discipline.
The elephants are beaten all over their body and are chained up to hard surfaces when they're not being trained. The elephants also spend the majority of the year enclosed in small boxcars traveling across America, eating and defacating in the same area. Undercover investigations have been done by the ASPCA, PETA, and the USDA, and have documented evidence of this abuse. For example, in 2009 PETA went undercover to reveal that the elephants were being beaten with bull hooks. Also, in 1997 the USDA openly investigated the Ringling Bros. Circus and documented evidence of elephant abuse.
A former employee also placed a complaint against the abuse preformed by the training staff. Still, the USDA closed the case because there was insufficient evidence. The Animal Welfare Act and the Endangered Species Act are not being enforced because of the broad discretion of enforcement carried out by the USDA. Since the government acts don't include a citizen suit provision, a private citizen can't sue the USDA for not enforcing the acts.
For this reason it is important to send this petition to a House Representative of Arizona, so the elephant abuse in the circus can be acknowledged and stopped.
14. Stop Rodeo and Horse Racing Abuse Today
Behind the romanticized facade of thoroughbred horse racing is a world of injuries, drug abuse, gruesome breakdowns, and slaughter. They weigh at least 1,000 pounds, have legs that are supported by ankles the size of a human’s, and are forced to run around dirt tracks at speeds of more than 30 miles per hour while carrying people on their backs.
Between 700 and 800 racehorses are injured and die every year, with a national average of about two breakdowns for every 1,000 starts.
What can you do?
Please sign this petition!
For decades all lost, abandoned and stray dogs and cats in Bulgaria have been subject to horrific abuse and mass extermination by the State and its institutions.
Barb wired death camps, called "isolators", especially designed for mass murder, have been operational all over the country, where millions of innocent, defenseless souls have perished in most despicable, cruel ways, tortured and killed by sadists and perverts, employed by the State. While the death machine pounding, the State propaganda has been engaged in "rationalization of murder" and disengagement of the moral standards of society by portraying such inhumane behavior toward sentient beings as socially acceptable and even desirable, by degrading and dehumanizing homeless animals, portraying them as vicious, dangerous beasts praying on humans. Moreover under such conditions of low moral standards and displaced responsibility, bloodthirsty morons, vigilantes and "concerned citizens", have been engaging systematically in animal "hunts" and various barbaric acts of animal torture and abuse, portrayed by the media as "solving the problem".
There was hope in 2007, when as a result of numerous petitions and complaints by Bulgarian citizens and NGOs regarding the serious welfare problems of stray animals, the European Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals wrote to the Bulgarian authorities, reminding them that Bulgaria has ratified the European Council's Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals which makes it a binding obligation to take measures in this field. The Intergroup expressed hopes that the Bulgarian institutions would engage in the legislative process by voting and enacting effective measures to solve the problems of stray animals without recurring to a simple "catch and kill policy", which has proven to be completely ineffective and which is moreover unacceptable on moral and ethical grounds. As a consequence in 2008 the Animal Welfare Act was passed in Parliament, according to which TNR /trap, neuter and return/ programs were to be carried out for the humane solution of the stray animal overpopulation problem.
Sadly, in a country eaten by corruption, populism and greed, hatred prevailed. The Government, accustomed to solving all political, economic and social problems by murder, not only failed to enforce the Act but actively sabotaged it. The killings continued while the State institutions did all they could to destroy whatever evidence and records existed as to the numbers they knew they had murdered.
And it got worse. Irritated by the fact that not only the morality but the legality of their actions was constantly challenged by various animal welfare and animal rights organizations, the State decided to fight back. On the 4th of April 2012, the Minister of Agriculture - Miroslav Naydenov officially announced that following orders by the Prime minister - Bojko Borisov, he would start a legislative initiative to change back the Animal Welfare Act and Ordinance 41, and thus legalize again the indiscriminate, mass slaughter of stray dogs and cats. Moreover he promised he would make all necessary legal changes as to completely cut out the NGOs and animal rights activists from the decision making process and curtail their rights to inspect, challenge and control State institutions and their activities.
This is truly disgusting, unlawful and unacceptable in the 21st century in a country member of the EU, pretending to be civilized. This truly is genocide and fascism in its purest form.
Please support Liberty's Law; a proposed ordinance for Milton Georgia which will help to protect the city's horses from abuse and harrasment.

18. Minimum two years for animal cruelty, no parol
All states nationwide have varying degrees of punishment for animal abusers.
Seeing as how this crime is so heinous in nature, there should be a nationwide MINIMUM of two years in prison with NO parole for anyone who abuses animals.
19. Tell NHMRC to stop funding animal Testing
Please tell the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to stop funding millions of taxpayer's money into animal testing.
Over 10 million animals a year are used as models in medical research, most funded by taxpayer's money.
These animals are not protected by the Animal Welfare Act and are subjected to torturous experimentation which are often inconclusive and unscientific.
Putting aside the cruelty, animals and humans differ genetically, anatomically and metabolically therefore animals are inappropriate models for medical research. 9 out of 10 drugs that work successfully on animals failed on humans.
Please urge NHMRC to stop funding this cruel, expensive and inconclusive practice and invest in alternative methods such as computer modelling, Corrositex, improved statistical design, the Murine Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA), etc.
Thank you.
20. Stop Thailand Elephant Abuse
I have witnessed cruelty towards elephants in Asia before. Now, I came across a photograph of a baby elephant being tied up to a tree and beaten by two men with sticks.
This is a method to break the animal's spirit and body and prepare it to be used for tourism purposes in Thailand.
21. Get American Hoggers off the air!
American Hoggers is a horrible, disgusting exploitation of animal abuse. There is no reason to torture these animals on t.v. for entertainment.
If they truly are a dangerous nuisance in the area, they can be pud down on site instead of torturing them. A &E is sick for displaying this on a network that has plenty of respectable shows.
22. Call for Harsher Animal Abuse Penalties in Newfoundland and Labrador
In cases of animal cruelty/neglect, the current provincial animal protection act in Newfoundland and Labrador imposes a fine no less than $50 and no more than $200 for first and second offences.
In third or subsequent offences, a fine can be issued to a maximum of $500. Compared to other provinces across the country this legislation is weak at best.
Stories of cases of animal abuse continue to circulate across the province attracting media attention and causing public outrage from animal lovers and rescue organizations witihin the province and across the maritimes.
It is time for government to take notice and revise the provinical animal protection act so it is at least on par with similar legislations across the country. For instance, in Alberta, fines can reach up to $20,000. In Ontario, up to $60,000 and in BC a fine can be issued for $5000 for a first offense and $10,000 for a second offence.
With the influx of cases of animal cruelty occurring within our province and specifically in Northern Labrador, attention must be paid! Harsher penalties for this type of offense will set an example to potential offenders and reduce the instances of repeat offenders. A $50 fine for torturing an animal is the same as no law at all!!
Please sign your name in support of this cause.
This is for Mia, a little pup from Northern Labrador who was forced to inhale gas and was inevitably damaged so badly she had to be euthanized.
It is for the puppies who were tossed out in a garbage bag and left for dead. Or the tiny pup found locked in a deep freeze barely alive.
It is for the animals of Dunville Placentia Bay who were abandoned in their home and left to starve to death and it is for every animal that has experienced, neglect, torture, cruelty, and distress at the hands of someone who should no better.
This petition will be submitted to government along with letters and documents supporting the need for change.
Please make sure your name is counted!
23. Stop Michael Vick Sponsorship Deal
On Friday July 1, 2011, Nike quietly announced that it had signed a sponsorship deal with convicted animal abuser Michael Vick. While Vick served a jail term for his crimes, he narrowly escaped much more serious federal racketeering charges by pleading guilty to lesser crimes.
During the investigation, it was revealed that dog fights were regularly held on land owned by Vick, and that dogs were horribly maimed, killed, abused, and executed by cruel and inhumane ways including drowning, electrocution, and hanging.
If you are one of the millions of family dog owners or sport dog enthusiasts who's dog is a part of the family, or a valued part of a team, we urge you to sign this petition, which will then be delivered to Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton OR.
24. Harsher Penalties for Animal Abuse in NY
CBS News (May 24, 2011):
The New York Police Department says Irving Sanchez, 46, was arrested after allegedly being caught on an elevator's surveillance camera brutalizing a pit bull puppy.
The video was captured Sunday in the Wagner Houses in East Harlem. It shows a shocking attack.
In the video, a man police say is Sanchez is seen walking into the elevator with a small pit bull puppy named Max. Once inside the elevator, the man is seen dragging the dog from side to side of the elevator by its leash, hurling it into the elevator walls.
Then the man leans in and hits the dog repeatedly with the handle of the leash, wielding the strap like a club.
Finally the man starts stepping on the dog and appears to kick him.
Sanchez was arrested the next day. He is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

This abuser may face a fine or at most, minimal prison time.
Animal abusers rarely stop there, and if their abuse is not addressed with the seriousness it deserves at the animal level, studies show that these people are likely to go on to commit further violent crimes.
We are aware that, under our current laws, a person convicted of animal abuse only faces up to 2 years in prison and a $5000 fine -- a maximum penalty which is rarely imposed. In the case of Max, the more likely penalty Mr. Sanchez will face is merely having to pay a fine. This needs to change.
We the undersigned are calling on our elected officials to protect our society from violent criminals by imposing harsher penalties for those convicted of animal abuse, and requiring all abusers to pay for and attend a treatment program to prevent future abuse.
The CEO of the web-hosting site, with the stupid name, GoDaddy has killed an elephant in Zimbabwe, and he has proudly posted a video of the murder on his website!
Elephant poaching is illegal. However, he is white and American so he is the British colonist on that continent.
In a brief search on Wikipedia about Bob Parsons, I found that he has contributed money to animal welfare causes among other types of organizations! The height of irony.
26. HORROR - In Bistrita - Romania - Slaughter house for strays
It has come to our knowledge that , again, in Bistrita, strays are massacred by the hundreds with the full co-operation of the local authorities....
Romania is the worst country in Europe when it comes to the protection of animals...The most horrifying and barbaric acts of cruelty are covered up by authorities, condoned and even incited to by authorities.
Contracts with high amounts of money are signed with companies who violate the law for the protection of animals ...Many elected officials "make" the law in their cities with complete disregard for the Romanian Laws.
Killing of strays has become an "Eldorado" for many and this might be the reason, authorities do not want a national spay/neuter program.
This has to stop...

27. Stop The Poisoning Of Dogs In Urziceni - Romania
It appears obvious that the mayor of URZICENI, not only knows very well what is happening but most likely AGREES... It also appears that the Police of Urziceni does not take the right actions as stipulated in the Romanian Law for animal protection... It also appears that even the prosecutors and judges do not take Romanian Laws seriously, although they should be THE FIRST to implement the laws of the country...
It is so obvious that Romanian officials do not take their own laws into consideration.

With all the documentation, with witnesses who caught the city hall employees dropping poison in the areas where dogs used to live...the PROSECUTOR still refuses to press charges, even more the president of the Romanian federation against cruelty to animals ( FRPCA - Mr.Mircea Serbanoiu) was him self almost kicked out from the Mayor's office

We ask you all to reconsider your position about the law for animal protection, to fully investigate each and every case of cruelty, and KILLING of strays, to bring to justice those responsible for such illegal activities, regardless of who they are...By continuing these criminal activities and by continuing to cover them up, you will continue to tarnish the image of your own country and you should be held accountable...
Romania has gained a very bad reputation all over the world due to the massacres of animals, the constant lack of implementation of the law, the complete disregard of Romanian authorities for the international treaties and conventions which Romania signed and for the constant violation of Romanian laws most of the times starting with elected officials.
The tarnishing of the image of Romania is the fault of Romanian authorities who do not do anything to stop the slaughter of stray animals...
28. Ban puppy and kitten mills and retail sales of animals in Canada
Puppy mills and kitten mills are facilities which overbreed dogs and cats strictly for greed. These animals are victims of unusually cruel treatment. Thousands of puppies and kittens are born each year, many to the same mother who is bred continuously until she eventually dies. These puppies and kittens are then sold to pet stores and sometimes the public via the internet. Most die shortly after. Those who are not sold to loving homes or pet stores, are auctioned off to research laboratories where they are experimented upon until death is the outcome.
The conditions in which these innocent dogs and cats are forced to live are beyond inhumane. They are locked in too small cages, the housing conditions are poorly ventilated with no heat in the winter or air in the summer. They eat, sleep and literally live in their own urine, feces and vomit.
The 'breeders' are unlicensed and irresponsible which ultimately results in some form of illness. These animals suffer from malnutrition, skin infections, eye, ear and/or teeth loss, depression, fear and various diseases with minimal or no medical attention. The list is endless. Some are lucky enough to be rescued and their lives saved, others meet a very different, very harsh fate.
29. International Petition: Ban Crush Videos Globally
Crush videos, among other “fetish videos,” feature small live animals, such as kittens, puppies, mice and bunnies, being slowly tortured in the most horrific ways imaginable; including being burnt alive, cut with pruning sheers, nailed to the floor, skinned alive, beaten, stabbed, and having their limbs broken.
All of these videos share a common theme: the animals are incrementally crushed by a woman in high heels. Most people view these materials for “sexual gratification”, but these videos are becoming increasingly popular just for their shock value alone. The crush fetish can be also linked to “paraphernalia,” which is an atypical sexual arousal to nonhuman objects and humans alike being caused physical distress.
Crush videos are becoming increasingly popular all over the world, and will escalate to epidemic proportions, degrading our society if nothing is done to stop the sadistic killers perpetrating these acts.
It is not hard to find such sites on the Internet with any search engine. Minors can access these materials with a click of a button. Please first, examine the damage it causes both human and nonhuman lives, as well as society, on a global scale.
Freedom of speech has its limits when it places a society in danger, such as the ban on child pornography, as it is obvious violence against children. Films that exploit, torture, and kill animals for entertainment purposes also places society in danger, for it is destructive by inciting violent and antisocial behavior, thereby endangering our citizens. Adults showing their own children these videos can cause emotional damage and lead to severe mental disorders. This is not only child abuse, but is one of the leading factors resulting in those who become serial killers as adults. While there are many factors that contribute to the generation of a serial killer, the one constant they share is animal abuse.
In short, there is nothing socially redeeming about “crush videos” and animal torture videos when used for entertainment and financial purposes. However, relating to educational or for political and sociological purposes, there should be the exception – such as speaking against, or educating the public about the realities of said depictions of cruelty and how they affect a society.
