1. Complete ban on trophy hunting in South Africa & full census carried out
Trophy hunting is out of control in South Africa. 99% of the South African people want it banned now. Trophy hunting is being explotated by Asian gangs that see a lucrative market in the Rhino horn.
The main concern is the Rhinoceros (pronounced /raɪˈnɒsərəs/), often abbreviated as rhino. Organised gangs mainly from Asia are hunting down the Rhinoceros for a horn that has been proven not to be of any medicinal use.
Only 3 out of the remaining 5 Rhinos are now left in the wild mainly in Africa.
A full census must be carried out on the Rhino to determine it's population so conservation teams can plan its future too.
Should the census not be carried out then one can not plan out an emergency conservation plan should we later find that the population is lower than has been over estimated by government.
2. Ban Airport Full Body Scanners for Children Under 18 As a Primary Screening Measure
My 12 year old daughter was put through an airport full body scanner without parental or adult consent. This is what has triggered my activism on this issue. There is conclusive evidence from studies done by professors at the University of California that the waves emitted from the full body scanners are concentrated solely in the skin and underlying tissue around the head and neck.
They have said that these scanners should not be used on children as they pose a risk for the development of skin cancer. In addition, these pictures are nude positive images of children not the blurred negatives that you see on the internet. The TSA has finally admitted to storing and transmitting these images. These images can be easily downloaded onto a small USB drive and downloaded onto any computer anywhere presenting the great potential for these images of children to be abused or turned into child pornography.
In 2013 these airport full body scanners will no longer be optional but will become mandatory for every person flying, including children and pregnant women. It is important that we assert our civil rights and oppose the allowance of strip searches on innocent civilians.
3. Raw Transformation: Improve Raw Vegan Options
Circumstance:
On February 19, 2008, I had to throw out my just purchased, and sealed, containers 6 oz Silk Soy yogurt, 8 oz Rice Dream, and 4oz Santa Cruz Organic Apple Sauce. I was left to travel 8 hours, of a 15 hour trip, with only 2 apples, a handful of baby carrots, and canned airline, because the organic food companies do not offer products in 3 oz packaging, in accordance with TSA standards.
Facts:
*Global travel is challenging for raw food vegans, because some countries will not allowed fresh produce to be brought into their countries
*TSA limits container food and liquid sizes to 3oz, yet if they cannot identify what’s in the container passengers are forced to throw them out, or prove their content, i.e. a mother forced to drink her baby milk

*Airline carriers do not offer raw vegan meal options
*There are no raw vegan restaurants or cafes in our international airports
* Airlines need to be educated about the similarities and differences between Vegetarian, Vegan, and Raw Vegan (Living on Live Foods) dietary styles
*Food storage companies do not make 3oz containers
*Organic food companies do not offer products in 3 oz packaging
* TSA’s carry-on limits challenge the raw vegan that wishes to carry a lunch, in addition their backpack/laptop, and purse
* The Civil Rights Act of 1964 Sec. 201 states: (a) All persons shall be entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, as defined in this section, without discrimination or segregation on the grounds of race, color, religion, or national origin or sex. This should also include without discrimination or segregation on the grounds of a person’s dietary lifestyle choice.
Smallest Container Sizes by Company:
Rubbermaid - 1.2 cups (Twist n’ Seal)
Ziploc (Twist n’ Seal)
Gladware - 4 oz (Mini-round)
Tupperware - 4oz (Meals solutions to go travel set that exceeds TSA’s 3-1-1 standards)
Pyrex (Corningware) - 1 cup (Round)

We are asking that airlines provide reasonable airfares for the active soldiers, so that when they get their leave (because they have no choice) that they can get fares that they can afford so that they can visit their families at holiday times.
For example my son spent a year in Iraq, and survived many close calls. Many of his friends died including his captain. He did receive a purple heart, but now he is in Germany and for him to come home for Christmas it will cost him $1200 which he does not have. Is this fair??
He puts his life on the line everyday for americans, and what does he get back????
5. Maltreatment of Africans by European Airlines Must Stop!
The long history of exploitation and maltreatment of African people by European airlines can no longer be ignored. In fact, they must stop.
The petition below is a rallying call for an end to such exploitation and maltreatment which are obvious to any one who travels to and from Africa with any one of these European airlines.
Specifically, this is our position: Since African people are a part of the human race, European Airlines should treat them with respect and dignity, just like they treat any other group of human beings who are not Africans. As such, the apparent maltreatment of Africans by the European airlines will no longer be ignored.
We must stop this maltreatment NOW.
Note: This is a suppliment to the original petition published in 2004. For details, see: http://www.liberateafrica.org/petitionairlines.html
6. Oversized Passengers on Airplanes
As obesity becomes a bigger problem in the United States, so does the impact it has on various facets of life. If you have travelled on an airplane with an obese passenger who cannot fit in the seat, you know that the experience is unplesant at best and downright impossible at worst.
Southwest Airlines has started to enforce a policy that if a passenger is too large to fit in one airline seat, they must purchase a second one. This is fair for all parties; the overweight passenger benefits from the extra space, and the surrounding passengers are not 'squished'.
Before Southwest implemented this policy, 90 percent of complaints were about obese passengers.
7. Make Northwest Airlines Pay
Northwest Airlines has not paid a default judgment that I won against them. Legally, they now owe me this money, but they ignore calls, certified letters, and other communications. Maybe they'll listen to you. For details, please visit my site:
Why aren't there movies on every flight?
It makes everyone's life a little easier. Also, there are many things Airlines can do to cut back their prices. For one, on short flights, under 2 hours, Airlines still feel the need to shove a meal down your throat. People can eat before or after the flight.
