As of the fifth of July, Australia has lost 27 fine servicemen in the war in Afghanistan. This fails to mention the many casualties also sustained since Australia deployed troops in 2001.

Australian forces have been involed with the war in Afghanistan since 2001. During the duration of this war, we have lost 27 of our bravest Australians.
In light of President Obama, Prime Minister Cameron, and President Nicolas Sarkozy recent decisions to begin withdrawing American, British and French troops from Afghanistan, we, the citizens of Australia, respectfully request that Australia discontinues its participation in the war in Afghanistan as soon as possible.
