Petition Background (Preamble):
UWS ITD is currently undergoing a restructure. Parts of the change proposal, the basis on which the University approves the proposal, have not been included. These are:
- Position Descriptions for new positions;
- Proposed structure has not been provided to staff;
- Implementation and recruitment plan.
The absence of these fundamental pieces of information has left us unable to provide informed feedback on the proposals. We feel vulnerable and uncertain about our positions, demoralised at work and are suffering the negative impacts of work-related stress.

Petition:
We, the undersigned staff of the Information Technology Directorate at UWS, and other university employees are concerned about the restructure which has been ongoing in our unit since December 2005.
We believe that in order to provide certainty for staff, prior to implementing any the change proposal any further:
- all position descriptions;
- the proposed structure; and
- the implementation and recruitment plan,
are provided to all staff and our representatives immediately, and a process of meaningful, comprehensive consultation then occurs.
