Petition Background (Preamble):
Universities no longer work for the best interests of students or staff. This problem is systemic, students and staff do not have enough representation in university governance.
At the core of any university are the students' and academics', unfortunately, both are suffering as a result of widespread cuts by management. Students' are not getting a quality education and staff do not have secure jobs.
