Do you think that the new law on mandatory custodial sentencing for 16 to 17 year olds who use a knife to threaten someone is enough of a deterrent to stop them from carrying a knife onto our streets in the first place?
Or do you think that if they knew they would face a custodial sentence if they carry a knife that this would be a better deterrent and stop them from doing so?

We, the undersigned, call on the Government to introduce mandatory custodial sentencing for 16 to 17 year olds who carry knives in public.
