Petition Background (Preamble):
Éire Óg Ennis GAA Club is calling on people of the town and friends to support us in our campaign to get our Clubs future back in our hands. For too many years, the towns’ children from age four to twelve have been only permitted to train and compete in hurling and football under the Urban Board structures.
Two years ago, an Academy of training was set up for Éire Óg and it has been astoundingly popular and successful with approximately one hundred children training every Friday at the Club. ‘Éire Óg Hurling and Football Academy is an academy to coach boys and girls from U6s to U12s in the skills and techniques involved in both hurling and football. We welcome children with all abilities.’
