Petition Background (Preamble):
After the tragic event on 7th February where a 6 year old boy lost his life as he fell through the ice of the frozen pond.
Full safety measures need to be put into place at the fishing pond to prevent another tragic accident. At this present time there is no safety equipment or warning signs.
The area surrounding the pond also needs be made safer and a new fence needs to be erected around the perimeter of the fishing pond.
If this cannot be provided then the fishing pond should be closed permanently.

We, the undersigned, call on the owners of the Streethouse Fishing Pond to implement full safety measures or we call for the Streethouse Fishing Pond to be filled in.
