Petition Background (Preamble):
Re: Project NO. R2007-00173-(2) CUP CASE NO. RCUP200700021-(2),
Project NO. R2006-O3164-(2) CUP CASE NO. 200700020, and CUP No. 00-50-(2)
Wireless facilities are incompatible with the character of our neighborhood. Both projects would set an unwelcomed precedent for Windsor Hills/View Park. At the location on Northridge Dr., residents were not notified, undermining their rights to due process. The CVS facility presents significant safety issues and violates the L.A. County zoning height limit. Neither placement has been justified by T-Mobile as necessary to fill a significant gap or as a least intrusive site for the Community and both will result in a significant decline in property values. In addition, the CVS project is a gross violation of the conditions for the alcohol permit provided the CVS Pharmacy. Fast growing vines were to be planted on the existing trellises which were erected to provide aesthetics, not to be misused to create unnecessary visual blight.
T-Mobile has taken unnecessary advantage of communities and there are serious concerns regarding the manner in which wireless facilities are being approved.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens and neighbors who urge our local leaders to protect our community by:
(1.) ENFORCING all Conditions of the CUP for the wireless telecommunications facility within the public right-of-way, on the south side of Northridge Drive, between Valleydale Avenue and Valleyridge Dr., thereby REVOKING said permit for violations and REMOVING the facility.
(2) Passing an URGENCY MORATORIUM to allow time to investigate issues raised by the public in order to revise and adopt the new L.A. County Wireless Ordinance to provide the maximum protections for citizens and residential areas that state and federal laws will allow,
(3.) Upholding the DENIAL of the CUP for the construction, of a wireless telecommunications facility at CVS Pharmacy located at 4501 West Slauson Ave.,
(4.) ENFORCING ALL the conditions of the Conditional Use Permit 00-50-(2) to provide landscaping and aesthetics or immediately REVOKE the permit to sell alcohol at this location and
(5.) Passing a resolution condemning Section 704 of the 1996 Federal Communications Act, and the portion of the California Public Utilities Code which allows telecom carriers to ignore local zoning codes and construct along public rights of way.
