Petition Background (Preamble):
On Monday 13th February 2012, the board of Wolverhampton Wanderers took the decision to terminate the contract of manager Mick McCarthy.
After almost six seasons in charge, Mick was informed of the decision to sack him at the club's training ground by CEO Jez Moxey, whilst chairman/owner Steve Morgan was enjoying a skiing holiday abroad. Unfortunately, the club decided to bow down to the minority of fans that chose to shout abuse at McCarthy and protest outside Molineux. The voices of support for Mick and his regime at Wolves went unheard.
A lack of potential managerial candidates and the timing of the decision, with the January transfer window passed, place the club in a perilous position for the rest of the season. Please show your support for Mick by signing this petition. Thank You.
