Petition Background (Preamble):
This Petition is designed to keep the convicted Killer of John Winston (Ono) Lennon (Mark David Chapman) in prison without Parole!
This petition is in conjunction with any and all Parole hearings held after year 2000. Chapman first became eligible for parole in 2000 and, if denied, he is entitled to a hearing every two years. Chapman has been denied parole six times by a three-member board since then. On September 7, 2010 the board denied Chapman's latest parole application, with the panel stating "release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community." The next hearing is due later in 2012.
This petition will be forwarded to the New York Department of Corrections Parole Board By the John Lennon Society.

We, the undersigned, petition and ask that the New York Department of Corrections Parole Board deny the parole/release of Convicted Killer "Mark David Chapman" during any and all future Parole hearings held after the year 2000, to assure the Public of the World that "Mark David Chapman" will serve his FULL term of Life In Prison for the Pre-meditated Murder of John Winston (Ono) Lennon committed Dec. 8, 1980.
