Petition Background (Preamble):
It is legal for ANY registered European car to have tints installed, whether asked for as an extra option when bought as new or installed some time after.
We are not asking for anything illegal, only what is allowed by law in every other country. Theft and damages due to windows being completely clear and thieves been able to view inside the car are on the rise.
Damage from the suns UV rays to plastics within the car, rear seats, etc are also numerous and very expensive to fix.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Government, and or, related departments, to re-think the current law on tinted windows on Gibraltarian cars, and to take into account related factors within this law and compare to the EU Law, and or, explain reasons for addition of this law, to the people of Gibraltar.
