Legalize Cannabis in Canada

Petition Background (Preamble):
I am Grim Reefer, and I am an anonymous Cannabis Activist.
The goal of this petition is to raise awareness to the problem we have with the law regarding cannabis. With cannabis being illegal, it therefore makes it available to be controlled by local gangs and drug cartels. With that comes gang violence and harm to us all. With the money they make they can then import higher more dangerous drugs into our country and fuel the problem.
If it if grown/tested/regulated/taxed and sold just as if it were alcohol to responsible adults and under 18 with chronic medical conditions, we could eliminate the black market by 70-80% and reduce gang violence. It is not only the recreational users forced to buy off the Black Market, but also those seeking its medicinal benefits. I myself have suffered the painful damage of pharmaceutical pills
Prohibition on Cannabis has been going on for so long and the government of Canada (or Anywhere in the world) is not winning. Cannabis has great medical/recreational/industrial and meditative benefits. It has been proven by fellow Canadian Rick Simpson to CURE CANCER. It can replace many toxic and harmful pharmaceutical pills with a natural herb that causes no serious long term side effects.

We, the undersigned, call on Stephen Harper Prime Minister of Canada to legalize and regulate or deschedule the sale and production of Cannabis and Cannabis products for medical and recreational use to responsible adults and those under 18 with chronic medical conditions to which it benefits their health.
