John Lockhart has been Principal at Chancellor State College since September 2003. During this time John has become a role model, friend and inspiration, not only to his students, but to all members of the local community.

As a result of procedures imposed by Education Queensland, John was required to reapply for his position that he has developed and maintained for the past four and a half years. Unfortunately, John was not successful in his application.

It has since become apparent that this decision is not reviewable by the Department, due to the nature of the position. This means that John will no longer play any role in leading or guiding Chancellor State College. For all that John has contributed to the school and both foreign and domestic communities, it is time for the community to show their appreciation.

Too often in life people like John go unnoticed, however, the time has come for the community to stand strong, and fight for something we all believe in – A Better School, A Better Community – all of which are currently held together by John Lockhart.
